I still can't believe Kishi had the nerve to retcon and walk all over Naruto so badly, going as far as having Sakura tell Naruto that he only loved her out of a rivalry with Sasuke. Really? Did he forget how Sakura's "love" for Sasuke started? Did he forget everything Naruto did for Sakura?

I'm sorry, but in no way, shape, or form does setting aside your own feelings for the girl you love to ensure that she is happy constitute a love borne from a petty rivalry. To think Kishi had the nerve to do that, to say those things about Naruto's feelings, when Sakura "loves" Sasuke out of the rivalry thing, when Sasuke did nothing but try to belittle and kill Sakura, when Hinata has never once time actually considered Naruto's feelings, going so far as to ignore her recently dead cousin in favor of how Naruto's hand looked, is absolutely beyond disgusting.

The more I think about this movie, and the more that comes out, the more I feel insulted, not only as a fan, but as a person that believes that the idea of Naruto and Sakura's love for each other was actual love. Kishi spits on his fans intelligence, and their beliefs, and were supposed to accept it? No thanks.

Here's a wild thought: What if everyone who went to see the screening, including the actors, are just saying these things because it goes with the trailer? But what happens in the movie isn't exactly like that? Because never has a Naruto movie, or any movie for that matter, given away the ending like that. Not even for the fault in our stars, even though *cough* *cough* happens in the book, did they give it away. So idk...knowing the end of the manga sounds like a cheap excuse.

Since I am told that this is "historical love". In other words that the Japanese culture pushes this idea that you must marry your "first crush" or your a horrible person? If that is true then yeah I have a big problem with traditional Japanese ideas about love, free will, and individuality.

 

For the record to me it's no different than if now we saw something made that lionized how great he Old South was, and that deep down the black slaves didn't have it so bad. That is a horrible theme, just like this idea that if a young girl gives up on her first crush she is a horrible person.

 

It's backwards thinking, that shouldn't be positively portrayed in the modern age, and I have a big problem with it. So save me the racist crap until you understand what I'm telling you.

Thank you!!! After so many years, Naruto entertained us, and Narusaku brought us together. Despite Kishi recent statments, We seen love (That most certainly exist, and..) that was beautiful and selfless. Not only was it ideal, but also logical. Whether it become canon or not, NS existed and still does. It will continue to exist as long as long we love it. Keep this site up. Keep the NS love alive. canon or not. We are worldwide!!! That is KISHI's ideas. Do you know the difference between manga and real life? Is the movie SAW promoting brutal murder and explaining American culture? If one Muslim terrorist attacker attacks US are you going to assume every Muslim people are like that? If there's a kid shooting in the classroom in US are you going to assume all American kids are like that?

You're free to get angry at this stupid manga but that's no excuse to vent your frustrations on the country and Japanese people here and make an offending comment. Your personal frustrations shouldn't make anyone feel uncomfortable here.
