They said that NS fans didn't understand the manga and even they dare to compare it with some literature.

These anime sequences frequently set the conditions of the narrative to ensure that the hero fights the antagonist alone. There might be some preceding fight with the others who ultimately fail or they briefly intervene to assist the hero in some way or to act as a medium for demonstrating the dangers of their power, but his defeat rests in the hands of the protagonist.
But there is a possibility that his VA could be referring to the first "defeat", correct?

I seriously don't care about Naruto's ending or the movie. I just feel compelled to come here and see everyone. You're like a family to me, and I love you all. So I won't complain about this movie or even care what shown in it. Thank you everyone.

Most of the fanbase doesn't ship any of the ships all that hard, they really want great action and a decent plot.
Which is why this movie is going to suck, it's not just about underdeveloped pairings, it's the amount of time being wasted on the attempt to justify said pair. It's so different than any of the other movies in the series, it's so out of place.

Here's something to work with any of the "logic" Kishimoto-sensei has felt needed to justify the ending, which is so stupid beyond belief it makes me GLAD I got a fanfic response and a different approach to make it more viable!!
