So, I'm kind of afraid to ask, but what's new? Are people still in panic mode, or are things settling down? I really have no idea what's going on cause I wasn't here all weekend.

Funny that they waited until this chapter (698) to write that Sasuke acknowledged Naruto in the battle. A week earlier and people would be like "HE DID!!!"

In RtN Sakura is the one to prepare the Fourth's cloak for Naruto to give it to him. Meaning she supports his dreams. How do they say it? There's a great woman behind every great man? Sakura is that woman in Naruto's life, strong and confident to stand beside a leader. While Hinata is... almost nobody.

 

Exactly only sakura can complete naruto.

 

Lastly,her description is best medical ninja and a medical ninja has similar role like the hokage ie to protect her people and take care of them at all times.Even professional wise they are fit for each other.

Question:

If NS doesn't become canon, what would you like Kishi to do to reassure that NS would have been canon but at least he left it open? Example like Naruto didn't confess but he will never give up on her.

I'm not interested in token gestures. I see no good reason to leave open a plot thread that has been around since chapter 3. There is no good reason for it not to be resolved one way or another.

As far as the hypothetical 'NS non-happening' scenario goes, I'll only be really mad if Kishimoto insults us by dropping Naruto's feelings for Sakura as if he never had them (why the f---- would he bring up the POAL again, then? So Naruto can deliver Sasuke to Sakura like the good servant he is?). Sadly, I think this is extremely likely should NH be the endgame.

It would truly be a skid-mark on this great story for sure, breaking Naruto's character (him giving up), wasting years of development, and effectively destroying one of the most human, profound, relatable and hilarious relationships in anime (and I'd argue fiction). Naruto and Sakura can be themselves with each other, know each other, and carry each other's burdens. They sacrifice for one another, have made it through arguments and trials, and have stood by and supported each other through all of it.

Hinata crushed on Naruto and tried to stand up for him a few times, Sakura thought Sasuke was hot. 

Only one makes sense.

i think the best part for me about this movie is when i read that sakura is konoha's strongest medical ninja. all pairings in this series can cease to exist now that i've read that.

It means that there's not enough panels left for any conflicting emotions, so if Kishimoto wrote NH in the finale, you can be damn sure he'll treat NS like it was never a thing.

agreed.We'd need to see some indication of Sakura having her eyes opened, confession or not, to at least hint at it working out NS in chapter 700. if NH is endgame, then we won't, we'll probably see the opposite this week. 

 

For all the reasons so many of us have listed I really don't think even Kishi is dumb enough to screw this up. It's clear how this should turn out, what makes the most sense to the story and what is most uplifting and powerful. Not a patched together dysfunctional relationship between an amazing Main and a side-character absent for the majority of the story, developed outside the actual story, but a powerful love found between the two heroes who have fought and grown together from day 1, Naruto seeing his first love come to love him, and the message that perseverance and patience can do wonders in achieving your dreams, not matter how improbable they seem. 

Just romance wise, NS is a better story. I mean seriously, think of Naruto and Hinata as a couple. As parents. Would be so awkward. Whereas Naruto and Sakura, would be strong and hilarious

But NH IN manga will destroy the story itself, kind of completly, cause there is no space for NH to get it done (hell its been 698 chapters and its not there) so... nope, don't think its this case.
