He didn't give up on Sasuke who made multiple attempts on his life, his teammates lives, tried to steal his dream, made claims to destroy Konoha, made claims to take over Konoha and much more. Yet he gave up on Sakura because she was "fangirling and completely ignoring Naruto" as you put it.
 
And no, I'm not blaming Naruto for any of this stuff. What I will say is that Kishi butchered Naruto and Sakura. There's no need to play the blame game with these characters.

What sort of a ridiculous comparison is this? Naruto loved Sakura for 698 chapters. He did everything he could to make her change her mind. But she didn't. despite everything that happened she still loved Sasuke. He had to move on.

And it's not my intention to play the blame game either. I wanted to comment on the fan art which seemed to blame everything on Naruto. It's funny that noone here had no problem with that. But when someone criticizes Sakura, god forbid.

Except I'm not saying that he should confess hoping that she would return his feelings. He should confess because then it gives closure and makes it easier to move on. Surely he could just tell her he was confessing for that reason and that he's not trying to pressure her in any way. And I edited my post by the way. None of this is really Naruto or Sakura's fault. It's Kishi's. 

yeah and i would like him to confess cause if hes rejected then i have closure too this unresolved crap is driving me crazy

I guess Naruto was also to blame. He didn't have the balls to confess to Sakura and kept everything to himself. I at least wanted to see him explode over Sasuke and Sakura ditching him. But he was too NICE and SWEET for that and chose his friends' happiness over his own. *gags*
Most of All I blame Kishi though for interfering with the characters because NaruSaku would've happened on its own.

I'd...rather not get into a fight with anyone. But I really hope you're not implying that it's Sakura's fault for not falling for Naruto just because he did nice things for....because that's disrespectful against not only Sakura but also Naruto. Naruto didn't do those things to try and get Sakura to change her mind. He did them because he loved seeing her happy, even if it's not with him. And if, by doing so, Sakura did fall for him then good for him. But at the end of the day he never told her how he felt. I mean...Sakura still had the guts to tell Sasuke how she felt despite knowing he found her annoying/useless. But at least, at the end of the day, she could say she actually tried because Sasuke knew how she felt about him.

the countdown on the naruto website, its not loading for me for some reason. okay now its loaded some of it but still says 11 hrs 19 min

What sort of ridiculous counter is this? Naruto loved Sasuke like a brother. He did everything he could to make Sasuke change his mind. And he did. Despite the huge odds stacked against him, he eventually got to Sasuke. See what I did there? xD

 

If it wasn't your intention to play the blame game, why even bother listing reasons for Naruto to eventually move on? Have you been following this thread? There are more people who pin the blame on Sakura than Naruto. The person to blame is Kishi. Plain and simple.

Yes that was the first indeed. Even we got it in Canada, which I was super happy about it. That show you what the fans really want and I don't think it was to see Hinata and Sasuke considering that they were both parodies in this movie. The fan loved it because we saw Minato and Kushina with their own son but also to see the developement of Naruto and Sakura in this world, to see them grow as partner.

 

It make this ending even worst considering that it's a total insult to what Minato and Kushina said to their son.

 

This. Kushina's words have all been forgotten in this timeskip.  Not only did he not marry a girl like her, but he appears to be still eating nothing but Ramen as luffy pointed out.  "Follow my deceased mom's wishes, why should I?" is what the end comes down to, even when a few chapters ago, he was telling his parting father that he was trying hard to follow her wishes.  As many have said before, Minato and Kushina did not die for this crap.

 

Is it wrong that I'm actually happy that NaruHina seems like a terrible marriage? Hinata is a doormat who is perfectly fine basically raising the kids alone. Naruto clearly isn't home a lot and is distant. If kishi was going to make Naruto that way, then of course he'd have to be paired up with Hinata. Sakura wouldn't put up with that bullsh**.

IMO, NS died when sakura asked sasuke if she can go with him.

I just don't see how you can resolve that. Nothing will be good enough because sakura's feelings never changed.

Well, it's Sunday, so it's like the usual day of slow and just well, a normal day. That said the podcast is now up and yes, I was among them to share my final thoughts. Though to be honest, I may have to write or speak my own thoughts because looking back, this one has things that has been held off for a while, so it's a different reaction than I didn't know until now. I guess my reactions went through the same as the ending as The Graduate: happy to what you did but realized the outcome of it and now, well your supposed happiness isn't truly there. Anyway, take a listen. Enjoy other thoughts as well, as they put out great points.
