It's about emotional bonds. I think Japanese culture is a lot more sensitive to this than western culture- understanding one can't easily dismiss a bond, even to someone who goes bad and wishes you harm. You could kind of read the scene between Naruto and Sakura in 469-70 about Sasuke in that sense as a Japanese commentary on the western culture's self-delusion about breaking bonds with someone close to you that has gone bad. Sai stance would be the segment of Japanese culture that acknowledges that bond but believes the western action is right. Kishimoto is subtly saying Sai's middle way is mentally the best way- realizing the bond is there, but acting to protect oneself and others that would be harmed by that person.

Japanese culture tend to have more emotional bonds than us americans in the western perspective. So it's more harder for Sakura to move on than we actually realize. I do believe she will move on though, if she hasn't already.

There was also a scene in that movie where Sai pointed out that "women who fight for their men means they l-" And Sakura turne around dand said "shut up" all Tsundere way. It was something lke that, I adore it.

I'd like to add in too, that I think Kishi is pointing out in the manga the hard ways of Sakura trying to move on, just because of that reason: We're western-ers reaing a Japanese novel, a novel we cannot possibly understand every aspect of their culture. We break up and move on everyday, like it's nothing. That's why I honor the Japanese culture, they're more emotional bonds. And for his western readers, he's trying to show them that, it's just that. He isn't showing them she's still in love with Sasuke, he is showing them it's hard for her to move on because of the bond - even though she ddoes love Naruto.

Sorry if I offended anyone, but it is nessacarily true. We do break up and move on every day, we never really form any actual bonds with the people, sometimes we do, yeah, and it IS hard, (Those deeply formed Relationships) but most of the time, the people you see in every day life, just break up and move on like it's nothing. I'm sure we've all experienced a breakup that hurts from your end of it, but the other person who broke up with you just doesns't give a kitten and moves on.

True, I would prefer if Sakuras feelings towards Sasuke was in western perspective. But then again, if it were so, her feelings for Naruto wouldn't be as strong as they're forming.

i get it , but after thinking more i wanted sakura feelings for sasuke were in western perspectiven then her feeling for naruto was in a eastern perispective i dont want sakura to sing "bring me to life, evanescence" after sasuke's death .

if were in the portuguese sh*tty novels , sakura got pregnant by sasuke but he refuse to accept his paternity and tried to abort, after it she will fall in love with her teacher kakashi , then naruto buy a gun and he shot kakashi killing him ,
then sakura marries a random character and naruto and sasuke goes to the jail and start a romance there.
happy ending ....
