I still find an extreme double standard with this.

If this moment is considered so great and "hard to top" as people claim, then how can NH even top it to make NH canon itself? If this scene happened and NH isn't canon because of it, then NH truly is dead. Again, if this moment is "too high" and it is such a hard scene to top for any pairing, then NH is dead. If Naruto isn't in love with Hinata now, then he never will be.

We also cant say "no NS scene can top it" because well, we haven't gotten ALL NS scenes. From what I have seen in past experiences, we have done this before and yet we still find NS scenes to be better even when they seemed like the NH scenes were better. Remember the confessions? I can safely say that most think that Sakura's confession was better simply because Sakura wasn't selfish. Is this because of bias or what it actually is? That's hard to say. I could say as well that it is because of our bias for NS that we see chapter 615 is this "too high" of scene.

So, We wait and see.

I find the biggest difference between fandoms and neutrality is our expectations.

For NS fans:
We expect Sakura to be the heroine
We expect Naruto to one day talk to Sakura.

For NH fans:
They expect Hinata to take center stage
They expect Naruto to love her.

For SS:
They expect Sakura to retain feelings for him.

Neutral people just focus on expecting what they feel is important to the plot. Nothing paring related. They expect the story to flow. They expect the story to have a good ending. They expect Naruto to win and depending on what happens, they might expect some interaction between Minato and Naruto or something of that sort.

I always says I am two different type of fan. I am a NS fan sure, but I am a Naruto fan first. I will always put the story itself before my pairing simply because if the story is crap, what's the point?

Honestly I consider myself a neutral naruto fan, I mean sure we're narusaku fans, but we're suppprting naruto and his dreams, so thats basically being a ns fan.

Really late reply, but I'm only just now seeing this.

I don't believe NH can be canon either way. Even if they managed to top this moment with something new, it still lacks everything else to make it a pairing.

I'm not talking about topping it to 'win the prize'. I mean top it, as in a moment that will truly show that NS is the only way. I've said it before, I'm not worried about NS not becoming canon. I worry that Kishi will have all these 'moments' for other pairings and then he waits until the very end after all that and makes NS canon. I would be so disappointed if that were to happen. I don't want Kishi to play with pairings so late in the game. I worry that he cannot create a moment that will make NS believable if he continues with playing with the pairings. I'm sure there is something he will create that will tie everything together and make everything perfect, but he doesn't always deliver. There will be a moment, but I do wonder if it will truly make me believe Kishi had this all planned out rather than just pushing them together in the end.

I am looking at this from a story perspective. Sakura has always been there for Naruto as he has been there for her (in part 2 at least) During important moments up until around the Pein arc, Kishi always had the heroine with the hero. It makes sense, whether you're into pairings or not. Then Hinata's confession happened, but really I don't think it affected much. I don't feel like it should have been Sakura there, going out there with no plan at all and knowing she would fail.

615 on the other hand, that's totally something I expected Sakura to do. I suppose it is Hinata's character development, but I wonder when Kishi decided she was important enough to have her development during THE battle of a lifetime. It doesn't worry me from a pairing perspective. It just seems.... so unnatural and inconsistent with how he was going with the story before.

My pairing preference was shaped by Kishi. If he had been building Hinata up all this time to be with Naruto, I would more than likely be an NH shipped. If I were a NH shipper with all the development NS has, I would be upset if Kishi became inconsistent and put Sakura in Hinata's place when before that time, it was always Hinata. Same for SS I guess, though I can't imagine them being in any situation that NS has.

As an NS fan, I'm not sure what I expect of them. Sakura is already the heroine, I just wish Kishi would write her like one again. I'm not sure how they're going to fix that confession mess or express their feelings (Naruto and Sakura that is). When it comes to that, I feel "wait and see" is best. Sure, I can see Naruto going to talk to her I guess, but I can see Sakura going to talk to him too, so... *shrug* I don't know. I generally don't try and predict what will happen pairing wise. Predicting a talk they might have in the future is useless to me.

It can be resumed with some things that you did not noticed.
First on part 1 naruto got heartbroken because of Sakura several times, not just on the hospital but all those images, in other words it's hard for Sakura to "prove" to Naruto that she loves him only, and he was/is struck despite loving her he was/is with a mental image that she never can love him, this is proved by all the times she shows affection towards him he gets surprised, hug, feeding, hospital when she healed his arm and more.
I think it's complicated but the fact that he moving on from Sakura to Hinata is a double standard, and also a damage to the story overall, it's not because of never give up is because Naruto here is an example, so his love also must be an example, all kinds of loves on this story romantically ended on a fail, Jiraiya loved Tsunade until the very end but wanst happy, Obito see Rin die and became evil, there are examples that Naruto moving on from Sakura is easy, it's like an easy route, if Obito and Jiraiya failed then he will push it or just move on to Hinata.
But this is not the main reason, it's the fact that Naruto's love must be flawless, he got heartbroken like everyone else, but instead of being depressed and giving up and continued and decided to make her happy, it's different than Jiraiya that became on hermit and even Obito who gave up when she delivered that message to Kakashi.
So if Naruto has to accomplish and serve as a role model then his love must be perfect also, this is the reason why he cannot move on.


People do like Sasuke and there are many girls in Japan that loves man like him, but there's only one reason why Sasusaku is bad, is the fact that Sasuke never worked hard for those stuff, ending with main heroine of the story given on a plate, Sasuke is the totally the opposite of Naruto i dont believe that Sasuke will be paired he simply does not fit for romance it's already hard to turn in on a comic character just look at Naruto SD.

About the bolded one Kishimoto is a failure drawing heroines and he knows this, he even admitted that Hinata was easier to despict her as a heroine than Sakura.

No, kishi didn't say that hinata would be easier to depict as a heroine than sakura, he would never say that, that interview, like many others, is mistranslated.He said that sakura is the heroine, and that they say, hinata-hinata all the time, and he said, no I say sakura.

I know and you must be meaning it's cruel, you wrote it wrong lol. But like I said a long time ago this movie is like Kishi is laughing and making fun of the NH and SS fandom. It looks like he's shoving his pairing of choice right into their faces and saying" you say NH and SS I say NS BAM! in your face". Maybe this is the result showing his frustration on the western fans because they think so negative of Sakura especially when the large majority of them still thinks she was lying in her confession and he said it himself he thought he was making her honest. Anyway aside from that he really wanted to focus on the NS bond and wanted to show the fans how close they are (the hidden message that Naruto and Sakura are way closer to each other than they will ever be with Hinata and Sasuke).

But yeah everything you said was spot on.I guess this is his way of showing them his OTP (what does that stand for?) And what really sealed the deal is that kishi himself said that this is the opposite personalities, in other words, hinata doesn't love naruto romatcially, and she's never butt in on narutos love life, but in the movie...look at what you got.Same goes for sasuke.So after this movie theres really nothing to worry about.

UNFORTUNATELY, The Real Sasuke is not like that so we can't slam the pie in their faces guys. We can only do that when Sakura has reason to start falling for him again but she still chooses her love for Naruto. Then we can say "victory is sweet." Not trying to sound arrogant here but that's what it must come to.

Well, you see, it is not. It's just that your fellow NS fans are absolutely dreadful when it comes to dealing with reality and everytime some NH or SS moment happens, they need to rush in and do some damage control. They will then say anything to make themselves feel better about those NH and SS moments and delude themselves into thinking that NS is still totally going to happen and is still Kishi's OTP. Some of their favourite dismissing techniques include saying that Kishi is just trolling SS fans or that Kishi is giving fanservice to NH fans. It's really pathetic and anyone with eyes even the blind can see through it. Sad, huh?

It is. SS is so much better pairing than this horrible NS. Let's look forward to really good SS moments to come.
