I'm not too far into Gintama yet, so I don't want to judge on my favorite arcs.

As far characters that have grown on me a lot (in no particular order): Gintoki (tsk, of course), Kagura, Shinpaichi, Hijikata, Tama, Yamazaki, Katsura, Sa-chan, Kyubei, Elizabeth XD

I don't wanna reduce the list to five :argh: :argh: :argh:  And I don't feel like I know enough about the characters yet... Like, Tsukuyo seems to be really interesting (wish she would have been introduced earlier T_T )

How many episodes did you watched already?!

Kuro or gintama? If kuro i only watched this youtube vid if gintama i have finished the ones with arcs.. and most of the standalone eps

You will see later!! She has another arc about her and I just realized her and Otae have been in the big arcs mostly...(not including Kagura because yeah...)
