Ah well If Ochako loses then We may see a sweet and cute moment between her and Izuku at least. But that doesn't mean that I want her to lose. It's just that speaking from my stand point I never once recalled a female winning any tournament in a shonen series. I wish that would change for once really. Or when they do it is undermined later on cause a better male player didn't enter or it doesn't mean anything later on.  I'm just sick of seeing Female characters losing and the writer excuses it that the female is strong when clearly they don't put any effort to make us realize why. It's just a hand wave that they can't or won't write a strong female casuse of a skewered view on women.

And that's why we have Mashima to thank for. Because he knows how to write awesome women (except for Juvia, though).

... No idea. Sometimes, I think, it's more of b/c of the individual characters, and the idea of how the dynamic would be like if a ship such as OchakoxTenya became cannon. It's too obvious that Horikoshi ships OchaDeku XD

Oh yes indeed. That's why I love Fairy Tail. Juvia well she is a strong character, but kind of boring and flat I say because her life revolves around Gray. Not that I don't like her but she is not my favorite again cause she is kind of like a satellite love interest for Gray but shows she can care about others too which makes her way better that Hinakittens

Yes they make great strong females :) Anyway back on topic. I hope Ochako can win,or get recognition in her fight. I'd be happy no matter the outcome as long as she shows strength in her quirk and character. I was just speaking of a personal preference to not undermine women's performance in tournaments of and to break free of that typical mentality oh that female has potential but I don't feel like elaborating on it til later. Or something like that.

Lol I only switch the names because I can't remember how to speed her first name. I can't remember Ilda's first name either. But anyways, I thought someone suggested a while back that she has a crush on him, that's the only reason I mentioned it.

It is rather interesting that Horikoshi has set up an Ochako vs Katsuki match. When was the last time when a mangaka decided to set up this type of match?

It would have been developmental that's for sure. I don't mind what we got, but we still could have Sakura vs Sasuke. Oh well, women must submit to men...

lord ochako seriously!!! U know she is a girl dont ya!!? And besides i have a hunch that she will loose and final fight should be inturupted by villians. There are enough evedience and proofs cring out loud that the final fight will be in between deku and todoroki.

Why are you hating on Lord Ochako? (you have to capitalize it that is so offensive) Of course a girl can be a lord! Example A: Ochako.  

 

That's a good theory though. However, remember that the final fight is still yet to come, considering that the fights are pyramid selected. Also, that would feel like a serious rip off of Naruto...

I'll agree on that. But her other relationships such as the ones with Meredy and Gajeel are practically never brought up, that it's hard for me to actually like her. I wish Mashima actually highlighted those relationships, so that her character wouldn't be so one-dimensional.

I had no idea! I only found out a few months ago that FMA was written by a woman XD My brother bingewatched the anime, and he didn't know.

Well, after I've finished FMA, watched HxH, and caught up with One Piece, I'll decide which in my eyes is the best shounen manga.
