I wonder what the final volume will really look like.... I hope there will be just Naruto on it and him wearing the Hokage cloack, to do a parallel with the first volume. I hope it won't be a banal NaruSasu volume cover, though it seems more likely.

I've been thinking about for a while, and most of the chapters in the final volume have called Naruto and Sasuke (Part 1,2,3, etc.) So technically speaking Naruto and Sasuke have a high chance of being on the cover before. Then I remember seeing Volume 70 which had Naruto and Sasuke on it including the reincarnations of their past lives, but that's about it. I mean this fanart, but I think it'll be cool if the final cover looks like this

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's wishful thinking on my part, but I kinda doubt Kishi will go this route with the final volume cover. Then again I could be wrong because I always thought Obito would appear on Volume 71's cover with Team 7. Besides it'll take a few months before they release the final volume in japan, I'd give it atleast till around January for Japan to get it.

Believe me even if the SS predition were to happen i still believe NS would become canon (most likely epilogue in this scenario)

 

But in all seriousness it's extremely unlikely for the SS route to happen... I was expecting a NS epilogue last week, but after this last chapter i'm hoping for NS canonization before the epilogue.

I literally don't know how to feel right now. Because the FoD theory is so believable. Not only that, but just imagine the toll that that theory will have against Sakura's character. After getting knocked out by Sasuke she'll still run to him first? Worst message to send people. Ever. 

 

But I'm also not persuaded by the OVA theory either. Although it would be great, I doubt Sakura will even enter the fight. But deep down inside I hope I'm proven wrong.

i don't mind the fod theory tbh. if it happens i'll probably have a good laugh.

I'm not worried about the FoD scene at all. I don't think even Kishi is that illogical. A hug from Sakura wouldn't make any difference to Sasuke. He's already made it clear that Sakura and Kakashi mean less than nothing to him. He considers Naruto his only friend and thinks if he's gone then he'll be alone. If the hug scene did happen he'd probably just try to kill her too. I don't think Kishi would waste pages on something that won't work. If there's a pairing moment it'll most likely be the OVA scene.

How so? Let's say Sakura enters the battle and the first thing she does is runs to Sasuke before he kills Naruto. What will happen then? Welp. Her and Naruto get sliced. He's already shown that he only thinks of her as a nuisance, so why would he all of a sudden care for her now when she's getting in the way of his plans? Running into the battle like that would be no better than Hinata jumping in front of pain. It's a dumb decision and potentially hazardous. 

 

And it would be that dumb decision that puts Sakura in a bad light. Because if she didn't learn anything from that ninjutsu/knockout then there's no help for her. What she needs to do is enter the battle and protect Naruto while he's on the verge of death. Not stop Sasuke.

yay!! Sakura finally woke up!!! I'm glad! Also I like this chapter and I see the OVA coming!!! Hopefully a Narusaku moment as well!!!
