I...well, I actually do feel sorry for her now. This might sound weird, but all the jokes poked at Hinata at this one is kind of....sad. The fact that Kishimoto treated Hinata like this this chapter...is going too far. I mean, there are moments that I can make fun of her for because of her own stupidity or because certain moments used for comic relief, but this. This literally was Kishimoto making a complete fool out of her.

To put it metaphorically, it is like making fun of a retarded person. As obvious the jokes can be, you just don't do it. It's like....watching a bully push another kid into the mud and trashing his stuff.

I hate to say it, but...I am ashamed of some of my fellow NS fans for making fun of this. We always say we want to be better people or be humble, but when a true test to our humility comes by...we do this. Maybe I am being somewhat of a hypocrite here as I have made fun of Hinata on a few occasions, but....now I feel dirty about it.

I actually feel so sorry for Hinata. I don't want her to be with Naruto, but I never wanted to see her treated this poorly. I am not sure if others feel the way I do, but...I just can't find humor in this.

What's worse still is...is I feel like we are now no better than NH fans when they make fun of Sakura. I see many people want to be "better fans" by not resorting to that kind crap or not doing what NH fans do. Now we have a moment like that and we do exactly what the NH fans do about Sakura.

I am even mad at Kishimoto for the way he has treated Hinata this chapter.
 

 

Yeah, at this point it's just getting pretty ridiculous. To me I felt like Hinata should've gotten some shine when it came the Pursuit of Itachi Uchiha, instead of being on the sidelines. Granted most of that arc revolved around Sasuke, but if you look at The Hidan and Kakazu Arc, Team 10 had some major developments. Actually to be honest that's what I was expecting, so that's something I gotta blame Kishi for.

in before ''Nii-san... Please protect Naruto-kun!!'' is a foreshadow for Neji to appear in Naruto's dream while he's unconscious to tell him ''this is not your time to die yet, hinata-sama is waiting for you''. Just like what happened with Kakashi but with his dad.

It's not impossible to have rivel love interest do this with one admitting that "I love him so much, but I rather him be happy even if it means without me." That's what Hinata should have become. Not a laughing stock of the Konoha 11.

Besides the meeting between Kakashi and his father was a way that the author wanted to show the infamous Hakumo Hatake.

I don't know, to me Hinata lost her credibility after the hug scene. If she was somehow relevant to the romantic plot, she should have had a reaction similar to Naruto's one when he saw Sakura hugging Sasuke in the hospital.

People can't say that the hug scene was platonic and that Sakura held him in a sisterly way, heck, all Konoha reacted to it with blushing.

Funny for you maybe, but not everyone just down right hates Hinata or hates Sakura like most common NS and NH fans do. I want people to realize that just because you are a NS fan does NOT mean you HAVE to hate Hinata.

In retrospect, would you be laughing if Sakura was made out to be an incompetent fool? From what I can tell, when Sakura is shown as doing something stupid or foolish, most here get mad saying "God, Kishi, why do you have to treat females so poorly?" Or when Hinata fans poke fun at Sakura many here get mad at that as well...

I am just saying that if it was your favorite female cast, you wouldn't be laughing.

I completely agree and I saw all those nasty comments about her. Well it's true that she kind of looked like a fool when she didn't activate the byakugan straight away but I don't see the need to bash her for tripping.

The reason why Kishimoto drew that scene was to emphasize that she can't help Naruto now, that's why he also added her pray to Neji. Thought I must say, it seems like she's thinking about the worst, if she mentioned Sakura's name it would have been more logical on her part.
Sometimes I wonder if Sakura is censored in her eyes. That would explain soo much....

I think it could have been handled better and not once again make Hinata out to be a fool. This idea to keep Hinata longing for Naruto like a lost puppy is now doing a lot more harm than good.

This chapter alone has made 615's idea of strength in Hinata a laughing joke.

She's never acknowledged Sakura as a potential love interest toward Naruto surprisingly. I don't know if it's blindness or if it's selective.

The laughing stock. That's a good description. Sometimes I feel as though Kishi makes fun of her, even calling her a "boob-character". I don't know if I should feel bad if I laugh with him(I admit I did at first, I am guilty ), but I don't think it's funny anymore. The joke is old now, and getting out on hand(at least on tumblr and such) and you made me think over it. x)

You mean Sakura?
He did that two or even three times on the manga, after Pain's arc when she got that kick from Kumo ninjas as some form to mock her evasive abilities and later when he purposely put her into danger after she showed her power during the war arc to mock her cocky attitude.
BUt people didnt laughed because they were more focused on if Sakura was blushing or not when she said "Sasuke-kun".

Remember Karin and how everyone bashed her character when she as soon entered on the battlefield she wanted to have sex with Sasuke.
When Kishi only drew that as comic relief.

I guess the reason why I didn't laugh is because I am not sure it was meant to be humorous. Was it supposed to be a joke or was it supposed to be a heartfelt metaphor? I think that is why I didn't laugh. I am confused on what it really was supposed to be.

It is not like she tripped on a banana peel and a laugh track was added. Naruto was dying and she tried running to his aid and just trips hard.

I am not talking about the author, Dark, nor am I talking about fictional characters here. I am talking about you....the fan. The fans who complain and whine when they don't get their way. Who takes personal insult when another fandom makes fun of their favorite characters or their favorite manga, yet hypocritically do the same thing and claim "Well, it is just jokes."

I think that is what disturbs me more to see NS fans doing exactly what other NH fans do and have openly protested thinking that NH fans are trash. Well, if NH fans are trash for mocking your favorite character like that, then I guess people who retaliate are lower than trash to resort to the same method.

He has done this with Naruto too, yes you are right, but I am not talking about the author. I am always open for some jokes in the manga because it breaks the tension sometimes, but this wasn't a joke meant to be played by the author. This wasn't some scene like Naruto turning into a hot girl to mess with the male component with a humorous result.

This was a scene of a character dying and another who loved him running to him and then just tripping on her feet. It wasn't humorous because the author made it humorous. The fans made it humorous. The fans who are poking fun at it. What if Kishi meant it to be a real heartfelt scene and you just took it the wrong way?
