Big difference here is that we actually had two major things the NH fans were going on to be confirmed in our favor instead of theirs.

1. Sakura is confirmed as a parallel to Kushina, add this with Kushina saying to find a girl like herself we now know that Sakura IS that girl.

2. Naruto still loves Sakura, sure some may take it as a joke but if he truly loved Hinata instead of Sakura would he have said yes to the girlfriend comment? No.

This is what 615 lacks and what 631 delivers and this is why in my eyes I can see NaruSaku confirmed.

Sorry but when had the NH fandom something like a parallel or real build up?
A moment like 615 didnt confirm anything relevant instead of 631. This isnt just a normal NS moment happening, we have the biggest a parallel confirmed and this is something that cant be dismissed.
After a moment like 615 everything could happen but it wouldnt go against the story. This is different with 631 now.

Okay, fine they are good points. I agree that having Sakura and Kushina be similar would pointless if he didn't have anything romantically plan between her and Naruto (especially considering that Kushina is based on Kishi's wife (in certain aspects), and it has always been rumored that Sakura may have also been based on his wife too). I just don't want people to be over confident, and start hurting other fandoms feelings, like they have done for us. Also, I don't people's confidence to be hurt by another NH or SS moment that will probably happen in the future. That is why a lot of people panic afterwards.

Why Naruto's comment for the girlfriend part a joke ?!!!!

The panel showed nothing of a joke. Naruto was being Naruto like always and to reconfirm his feelings. I really don't know what to say when I see that it's a joke. Seems that there's over thinking.

I could totally see it as a joke. That doesn't require over-thinking. It showcases Naruto's blunt attitude which also embarrasses Sakura leading to a funny, tsundere moment in front of his dad, no less. It's a bit of a reference to those funny moments in their younger years when Naruto was overly pining for Sakura and she'd hit him for it.

It's pretty funny that she's getting embarrassed by Naruto's father and not her own parents....

That being said, the two panels following the rape face, the ones of Madara being rejected, are pretty kittening funny.

It has to be Byakugo or a very similar jutsu offshoot of it or else she technically is breaking her sensei's wishes by being on the front-lines.

It did cross my mind that maybe she invented her own badass jutsu. But now I think I'm getting ahead of myself.

You mean it like a comic relief, right ? The funny moments between them that happens from time to time... Yes, it is like this. What I mean is that what Naruto said regarding the girlfriend part is like something not right, like he doesn't have feelings for her which it's not obviously.

She wasn't blushing from the response, but the words she said sorta do imply she was embarrassed. I can't wait to see how Pierrot creates this scene... it's gonna take forever though

I think it's Byakugo or something similar as well. I don't think she would break the laws of the medic nins, so a big possibility of Byakugo XD

This chapter added like +29% to NS chances of becoming canon. It's around 99% for me right now.
Good thing is that Naruto reconfirmed his feeling for Sakura and she didn't deny her "being his girlfriend". Plus we got Minato's approval.

A few cliffhangers still remain. For NS to become canon we need Sakura to put an end to her romantic feelings for Sasuke and Naruto to turn Hinata down. He should do this properly.

Thing is that if we was about to make different pairings canon, he wouldnt take a route like that since its a route you cant walk back. This parallel is there confirmed and the only way for it to disappear is to ignore it. That would leave a huge whole in the story and would show that kishi has no idea what hes writing.

They did a great job with Sakura's Confession, her speech and this moment should be just as epic. Gotta suffer through the NaruHina hand hold thing first though (which isn't much suffering though because we know Naruto still loves Sakura even after that)

Completely true, you just can't have Kushina say to find a girl like herself and then have Minato, Kushina's husband and Naruto's father go and confirm that Sakura is that girl without following along that route to make NaruSaku canon.

Now that Sakura to Kushina parallel is confirmed any other pairing will seem completely out of place and just wrong.

I'll say what's on my mind right now:

It's no longer the road to if Narusaku will be canon anymore. It's Road to how NaruSaku becomes canon. No need to agree with me, but this is forever on my mind. I feel that Kishi purposely had Sasuke announced his plan to make Sakura choose who should she root for. It's like a indirect way of who she loves more. I don't want to go full detail because all I can think about is this battle.

It's funny, remember how long time ago we said that Sakura's developments begin when Sasuke shows up and it will be based on him. Well, if you ask me, it's a total opposite. I noticed how much interactions and care factors they have shown in this volume, more than I can say with other characters. That determined eyes she had convinced him that she will stand and fight, no matter what. Sasuke is all, "...eh" which is like back then. Honestly, this shows you that NS is much capable than SS. Great chemistry all around. I will discuss more later, but yes, nothing is changing my mind. And we still didn't get ObiRin/NaruSaku confirmed yet but at this point, it's overkill.

Yeah, stay confident. I'm very confident myself, and you do bring up a good point. I am just more worried about people's feelings in this fandom when something similar to 615 happens again. If it happens again.

It appears that this resentment may be consuming all of the Naruto forums. This isn't confined to just NF, NB, or Tumblr, but other sites like GF which is reacting angrily to the events of 631 as well. Some of them are attempting to repudiate Sakura's legitimacy as a fighter or character whilst others are misconstruing the meaning of Naruto's response to Minato's question relating to Sakura's relationship status with Naruto. This is one of the arguments that I have witnessed being used by one of the most dedicated of NH fans there:

"If was a joke by Naruto. Technically Sakura is his girlfriend. She is his friend, who so happenlly(sp) is a girl, hence, girlfriend. Naruto took that and turned it into a joke.

Theres a difference between a girl who happens to be a friend(but nothing deeper then that), and your serious relationship girllfriend. However both are still technically your girlfriend."

Honestly, I feel compelled to respond with the post someone previously created on here which addresses the fact that there is no Japanese equivalent to a phrase that could be interpreted as referring either to a "friend who is a girl" or a "girl whom you are in a romantic relationship with". Of course one should refrain from becoming involved in arguments like that.

What I remember was that they were claiming NaruSaku was dead without any proof of how Naruto really felt

Well the lack of indicative qualities commonly associated with Naruto expressing affection such as blushing or stuttering as he was clasping Hinata's hand should have been taken into consideration by those proponents. His facial characteristics and posture actually appeared to be implying withdrawal or retraction from her. There was no emotional reciprocation on the same level similar to what we witnessed with Sakura's eyes alone providing all of the information that he required to allow her to fight alongside them. That displays a level of emotional trust and understanding that NH has been so lacking for the all of the manga.
