What moment are you referring to? I'm a little confused.

I was pointing out that Sakura's former crush on Sasuke reflects some realism to it. Girls and guys do get at least one superficial crush throughout their lives, that's just natural. And I Know FULLY well how much Sakura has changed throughout the manga. But No matter how much she changes Sasuke is an irreplaceable aspect of her life.

I know that a superficial crush is a natural part of life, it has even happened to me. I wasn't trying to disagree with you on that fact when when I responded. I was trying to reflect the fact that just as we can get a superficial crush we also have the ability to get over it. That's what I was trying to talk about using Sakura as an example.

Also, I wasn't trying to accuse you of not seeing Sakura's changes throughout the manga. If I in some way implied that about you then I want to let you know that it wasn't my intention at all.

I understand that Sasuke will always be important to Sakura no matter how much she changes. My argument wasn't about her not caring about Sasuke anymore because of her growth, just that she'll come to understand that the love she feels for him is based on the wrong reasons. Sasuke will remain important to her and she'll defend him as much as Naruto does but she'll realize he isn't the man she wants to live and start a family with.

So my point is That both Naruto and Sasuke can be important to her. Who she ends up, and becomes romantically involved with is a different story.

I'm not sure if we are on the same page here. I already know that both guys are important to her. What are you trying to say about a different story?

It is not that simple, -kun is an honorific, the closest equivalent in English being Master to refer to a young boy/man she is calling him Sasuke-kun to indicate a distance between them (he is her superior in effect) with Naruto she uses no honorific signifying that they are in essence equals. She will never refer to Naruto as Naruto-kun to do so would be a step back not forwards

Why would it matter if she did? It wouldn't even be a positive event.

Kushina just called Minato by his normal name, she never said Minato-kun. It doesn't mean she loved him any less for not using -kun. Plus, it has already been discussed in this same thread how Sai once read in a book that dropping the suffixes implies closeness to someone. Notice how Hinata and Lee tend to use -kun for boys and -san for girls a lot even with their friends, that's because they are very polite by nature. Japanese people who are very close to each other don't use the suffixes.

On the other hand -chan is very different to the rest of the suffixes because it's a term in endearment. You don't see any other character using -chan except for Naruto when it comes to Sakura, that's simply because he's very in love with her so he wants to always address her in some endearing way. The term -chan is very different from -kun and -san, those last two are used to be respectful of people.

You actually believe that a writer of Kishimoto's caliber will end up just being a troll? He's not gonna disrespect fans of his who've been loyal for over a decade to his story.

See as how Jiraiya and Obito never manage to win the girl of their dreams it'd be pretty depressing if Naruto (who is an obvious parallel of them) can't do it either. I'd be like telling the fans that if you act like Naruto (positive, loyal, and full of light) you'll never get a girlfriend. The only way to do it is to be like Sasuke (emotionally damaged, disloyal and uncaring).

That's like the crappiest lesson in history.

Nor would it fit a major message of the series- the next generation surpasses the last. Minato and Kushina's romantic development was a completely obvious parallel to Naruto and Sakura's. Kushina fell in love with Minato, got married and had a child. Sakura is already in love with Naruto. It should be so obvious to any reader that Naruto and Sakura will marry and both live to raise their children that it's not even a debate topic in a narusaku forum.

Naruto will surpass his father and rather likely end up as not just Hokage, but as commander in chief of a permanent ninja alliance- thus fulfill his destiny as the child of prophesy, and marry and have a family with the girl he's loved since the Academy- Sakura. Sakura will surpass Tsunade and become the greatest medic nin ever, plus marry and have a family with Naruto.

You're telling me that Kishimoto drew that panel of Sasuke and Sakura nearly kissing as some sort of preview? Why is that referred as the new Heaven and Earth? And what does it have to do with chapter 348 and 347? Those chapters are about Sasuke's recruitment of Karin. I don't get it.

either your source is wrong or something else is wrong because at that point in the manga Karin and Sasuke would not be wearing those robes and it was before Juuigo was even introduced as a character

No he didn't. It's a photoshop image. That's from the chapter where Sasuke confronts Karin about the remains of his bloody shirt that she had- the one she cuts up to throw off the Konoha ninja tailing them.

Not gonna lie, that was some interesting evidence to support SasuKarin. I don't really care about that paring but it'd be pretty interesting to watch if developed the right way.

My respect for Karin would increase tenfold if by the time she encounters Sasuke again she gives him a good slap or punch to the face while yelling directly at him "That's for trying to kill me you bastard. Try it again and I'm not gonna be so kind"

Sasuke would pretty much stay in shock since it'd probably be the first time a girl had gotten so angry with him. What I think Karin might have that Sakura doesn't when it comes to Sasuke is the ability to get really mad at him if he's bad. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens during Sasuke's and Karin's next encounter.

Considering it's written right under the first appearance of Karin, and 348 features the first interactions of Sasuke and Karin, and she's the topic of Suigetsu and Sasuke's conversation at the start of the chapter- sasukar shipper will squeal when I say I'm guessing Sasuke and Karin. Kishimoto might have changed the chapter title, thinking he might be tipping his hand too much too soon for the sharper readers. (Or his editor suggested that for the same reason) Also as we later find out Sasuke and Karin's first interaction is during the Forest of Death sub arc of the Chunnin exams- where they had to get Heaven and Earth scrolls, and he rescues her from the giant bear. (which again could be why Kishimoto changed the chapter title, wanting to leave that moment a secret for a while)

Verilance, dovahkiin is talking about the next chapter title, not the teaser- yeah the editor does the teaser bits on side of the first and last pages of the chapter, but the mangaka does sometimes supply the title of the next chapter- not always though. I've noticed many times Kishimoto changed his mind about the next chapter title. Heh, more than any other mangaka I recall, in fact.

Naruto and Sakura were at least twice somehow associated with Heaven and Earth (Forest of Death sub arc finale, and the Heaven and Earth bridge in part 2. You could say symbolically the bridge was destroyed in part 2 because they no longer needed that bridge, Sakura had pretty much perfectly blended the goals of Heaven and Earth inside her, and Naruto was on his way to doing so- his intelligence had increased markedly from part 1 and his skills with ninja abilities that used the brain had also increased) plus that also marks the point where Sakura becomes fully conscious that her feelings for Naruto is romantic love- 297. Thus Naruto loves Sakura, Sakura loves Naruto, no need for bridge between them anymore- all that was needed was for each to become aware of the others depth of feeling for them. Sakura learns this in in 458 via Sai, and Naruto has Sakura's romantic feelings for him emphasized by Sai in 474. Sai became their bridge. How fitting he is with them at the destruction of the Heaven and Earth bridge...

I say that she won't be that shocked/amazed. It's Naruto. It can't be surprising to her that he's getting more and more powerful...right. She might blush at the sight of him though.

Agree with u their will be no reaction from sakura! And I don't think she will blush as well! their is no need to blush until kishi wants to give us a subtle NS hint again which I don't see coming! That and there will be no need for her to give a reaction because most probably when she reaches there Naruto will not be using and won't be able to use the new chakra he got from bijuus! I am so much imagining that a deathful strike will be going to go on sakura and Naruto will appear in front of her protecting her with new bijuu power in action again!

The only strong reaction I believe she will give now is when naruto is life death situation or something happens to Naruto or sasuke in their fight(again a life death situation probably)! I don't seem to get sakura that much, kishi at sometimes make me believe like hell that she has fallen for Naruto and then suddenly he pulls that hint off badly! I am so confused right now!
