Sure, I'd recommend giving it a watch. Let me know if you have trouble finding it; it can be a pain if you're not subscribed to Netflix (where I believe it's streamed for people with accounts).

I'm a bit embarrassed at the thought of rambling all over the place in the episode's thread, so I'll do it here.

Finally. After so long, we finally "officially" meet Kushina. Her voice was interesting--light and feminine, but carrying plenty of inflection to convey her upbeat personality. I was really excited to see her eye color, but I couldn't tell if they were supposed to be grey or a sort of lilac/purple variation... In the flashbacks, they look like a darker grey--which I'm kinda pleased about. I really didn't want her having green eyes, or something as blue as Naruto's--just my own personal quirk as a redhead without green or blue eyes myself.

But what was with the filler of her being bullied by the genin, with Minato chillin' in the tree? I can understand the thought behind it: to get out that she hates her hair but is a confident enough person to accept it and the fact that it's no one else's business to judge her on it. But it seemed so...Iunno, fanfic-y, almost? They even played the "Naruto sad song" and had the scene take place in the middle of cherry blossoms and such. It felt awkward and kinda forced to me.

Oh, and they had her mention that she tends to talk really fast...only to speak at a normal pace? *shrug* Fairly unimportant in the scheme of things, but something that caught my attention, y'know?

And duuuuuude, that scene where Minato saves her. I guess I didn't quite expect it to be so...well, so romantic. When i read it in the manga, I was all "awwwwww" over it, don't get me wrong; but because it was only a page or so, it didn't take long to flip past it and keep reading. But since this is the anime, it's stretched, has movement, sound... You can take more time to appreciate their proximity, the significance of the situation, etc. Very niiiice~

Fufufufufufu, and I noticed that when talking about how she didn't just let Minato protect her and fought for herself, her smiling face+shaking/veined fist+frighteningly light tone combo was preeeeetty reminiscent of Sakura, right? ^ o^

All in all, I loved this episode. Looking forward to the next few weeks of Kushina Storytime~

So, yeah. Guess what I ship like burning? XD And good god does the end of this video make me want to cry because of said ship.

Ah, so this is the show you had been talking about. I found rather amusing how this two get in an fist fight with each other half of the time, lol, somehow they remind me of Kane and Lynch, who are also aways at odds, with an more gritty tone, of course.

(have you seen the show, or...?) Mmm, they rarely have physical fights, actually. The scene in the video here was related to a disguise for a case they were working on. More often than not, they just bicker X)

I'm not sure I know who Kane and Lynch are.... ^^;;

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the series at all, just got the impression from the video.

Kane and Lynch are an duo of an video game series of the same names. It's about the story of two convicted criminals that are on death row but manage to escape. They hate each other but also know that they have to work together if they want to survive, the game is an crime drama if I were to describe it.

Ah, gotcha. In that sense, then, they're really not alike (though I understand that you only said they remind you of Kane and Lynch). Ironically, they're almost polar in that despite their bickering, they each consider the other to be their best friend in the world.

...I'd keep expanding on that, but I don't want to edge into *spoiler* territory since I'm hoping others will watch the series on their own and come talk to me about it ^^=

I might check it I can, I had been off from watching series after LOST disapointing ending, but an modern day sherlock seems interesting enough, this and the brilliant folks of big bang theory XD

I like Big Bang Theory--I don't actively follow it, but if it's on and I'm watching TV (which is rare), then I watch it.

Let me know if you have trouble finding a place to watch it online, then. I'd love having more people to talk to about it; at the moment I've got only one other person online that's seen it, but she's not always around to chat with.
