Wow James your last post was freaking epic. I honestly don't want to hate Hinata because I never had a problem with her but her fandom has made me change my opinion of her. I won't judge until I see the ending of the manga and what's the movie all about. But if the movie turns out to be everything James just said I will have no choice but to hate her and may I clear that there's no character in Naruto I hate with exception of Orochimaru.

What makes it worse for many people is that Hinata didn't do anything until the movie setting. In other words, there was no development between them for two years, and we supposed to expect them to get together NOW?! That's just odd beyond odyssey. Yeah, I said it.

Well we don't know yet but my point is on this. Again, all can be saved (well maybe not enjoyment of the film if you detest her with a passion) is that the pairing don't become canon. But hey, canon, and all winning bets goes to Kishi because no one see it coming. Why? Because no one see it coming.

Re-read the manga where NS proof was cited, read a lot of NS Manifestos, crushed my own SS/NH fantasies when I realize it takes forever for Kishi to make them interact like 50+ Chapters  before you see them in one panel or two, and not all the fillers in the anime were convincing enough to label my once otp's to be canon. And the last and probably most important thing that compelled me is, I grew up, too many life lessons pointed towards NS. Realized its a beautiful self-sailing ship. 
 
 
I've had my share of opinions in tumblr, I had major bashing responses from SS but ironically I'm friends with most SS fans, then there's a few NH fans whom I talked but in real life tho I have a lot of pro-NH friends, yet. I see some NH fans being too defensive and rude when NS fans come into the scene-- they're like : ALERT NS PEOPLE WITHIN THE TAG. MUST OBLITERATE. I gotta say, I just laugh every time that happens.

I lurk in the narusaku tag in Tumblr daily, and I have to say, it's made me loose all faith in humanity.

That time Sakura saved Naruto with CPR? Some anti thought it was a brilliant idea to post a bunch of photos of random people being resuscitated as a way to mock us. It eventually got to the point where they posted a photo of a dying toddler. Ugh.

There was also this other time when a Naruto cosplayer (who was also a self-confessed naruhina fan who hated narusaku) posted a short story about how she met a Sakura cosplayer, and even though she hated narusaku, their banter together made her like the pairing a bit. Unfortunatenly, she also encountered a lot of people hating on her with "Sakura", although a few of them were only saying it as a joke. She eventually made a post to apologize to all narusaku fans who got hate like that. :'(

agreed ... it doesn't make any sense if naruhina is canon. seriously!? she just barely seen in manga.. i'm not hating hinata, i just hate naruhina.. i'm all the way to narusaku couple.. soo please kishi don't mess narusaku couple.

So, yeah. I plan to go against the rules so the thread is not ideal for me. D:

I know right ... once you entered a certain fandom, expect that you will experience bash and hateful comment.. but who cares!?? lol I'm a die hard shipper of Narusaku, no words can bring me down

I'm 50% excited and 50% neevous for the next last 2 chapters ... so hopefully narusaku is canon.

 

I thought cross tagging was a peaceful thing to do-- I said my thoughts with a purest intentions and never even said a bad word against their ships. I'm not even the argumentative type who looks for flaws and shove it at their faces. But I do speak what I observe and say it in a nice way still i get hate responses. lol. I'll be stoked whatever the events there is in the remaining chapters. 

 

After all that trailer let down I'm pretty much 70% excited and 20% anxious and 10% Sad because a part of me is going to find it hard to let go of something that I've been with since my childhood. 

 

'Scuse me gents (and ladies), but, really, how can we compare Sasuke's childhood to Hinata's? He had his entire family killed and he saw his parents murdered by his apparently homicidal maniac older brother (who, up until then, he hero-worshipped) and Hinata, what? She was just not made heiress of his clan because, her father considered Hanabi the better shinobi, but she didn't get the seal nor she was relegated to the kitchens a-la Cinderella. If we were to compare Sasuke's terrible childhood to someone else's Neji would have been the best choice. And imo he should have been the new Hyuga's head chief... but then he put himself between Hinata and certain death...while she thought about Naruto's big warm hand...how in the seven hells can she be considered a positive character who embodies a positive love I will never know.

 

Oh my gosh-- you're absolutely right about NEJI! I think he's better than Sasuke or Hinata because even though he lacked the exposure in the manga he had fair development, having observed his brand new attitude and mindset and quick resolve.

Oh and I remember some NH fans considered the CPR as a necrophilic thing I was like-- "what the heck are you people trying to say, If that was Hinata doing the CPR you would've screamed canon"

 

I think most NH fans are Sakura's haters. I'm trying to see their insight and be mature enough to respect their responses. but it's just-- they do a lot of injustice towards Sakura's character already. I don't even know where i'd start.

Don't forget about all the anonymous asks swarming in after a post about NS. Dayum, they're like mosquitoes. I made a post asking them to stop it, and what did they do? They invaded my asks and it was too funny for me to care. LOL.

 

Believe me, when I started to accept NS it took me days just to re-watch and re-read Yamato's remark on Sakura's feelings and absorb what's really happening, plus a good dose of replay of the whole arc because that's where I'm convinced that a lot of things are going to change. Also, seeing Sasuke back then whoa  was unhesitating to attack his former comrades, got me really bitter. My SS feels just died, NaruHina seems to be poor on Naruto's side because all I see were NS Interactions. I was cringing when I saw AMVs, FanArt and Fanfictions of NaruSaku back in part 1 but now. ugh it's the only think I shipped so hard after ED and Winry. 

 

I remember one SS fan telling me : We don't give an F about it, you are not special

Well, this it's against the forum rules to bash shippers/ characters anyway, although it hasn't deter the Sakura-bashing. If you make a genuine, well-articulated criticism against an argument instead of a fan, then I'm sure you're fine.

THERE. This is what I call a rational fan. It takes courage [YES, COURAGE] to do all this, abort your ship and jump onto a new one!
 

What's more absurd is seeing an anonymous user telling a NS blogger that "NH is already canon. Why are you still shipping NS?" after the trailer was out. I mean, like, WHUT. I literally had this expression on my face .

To explain why I don't think NH is possible even with the movie and all this marketing!

 

Few facts we do know!

 

1. The movie will last only an hour and ten min from what I heard here.

 

2. From the info we got. Naruto and Hinata are not together. That means nothing happened between them for 2 year timeskip.

 

Seeing how the movie has a villain and natural destruction. It seams the movie will be filled with action. So I am being very generous here when I say that at best Naruto and Hinata will have 10 min of interaction with each other.

 

Are we really to believe that Naruto will fall in love with Hinata with just 10min of conversation? Hell the movie can last two/three days. And I still don't see how Naruto will fall in love with Hinata in a such short time. Especially when you add fighting new enemy, and saving the entire planet from being crushed by moon. I guess Naruto will be occupied with this things!

 

Lets compare then!

 

We have 668 (currently) chapters of NaruSaku growing romance. And 15 years of reading this manga. So I really don't think how a 10min conversation between Naruto and Hinata trumps this!

 

Another note to remember is that Kishi worked on this movie for two years. Two years in which we got major NaruSaku moments!
