But every characters with romantic feelings suffer from the same thing. Worst case being Obito IMO. Rin was jice to him, but seriously, he did horrible things just because he coudl'nt get over her death.   Second being the Sasuke fanclub, minus Ino, as Sasuke never had the occasion to try to kill her, but I don't doubt he'd have treated her as bad as the rest if given the opportunity.

On top of that the ending was pretty unsatisfying. Obito was basically the silver medal.

Young baseball player in the 80's, with a twin brother and a undeniable thing for romance.

I bet he was a fan of 'Touch'.

 

I would like to see Kishi give up on his cashcows nins and write us a nice baseball manga with a bit of romance. It would be nice. Hopefully Kishi could try to be a bit more varied with his female characters.

Lol. I think about 90-95% of the people in the world are 'silver medals' as per that logic.

The again he didn't have his editors forcing him to make every single move they suggested for the sake of $$$ its a shame his brother series ended when it did because even though it was cancelled you could atleast tell he was writing a story and was telling it like he wanted to tell it.

that's the problem of SJ.

Either the thing is profitable and they drag it to the point where it loses quality. Not everyone has as much as steam as Oda.

Or they hax it without letting it reach a semi satisfying end.

 

A nice counter example would be Slam Dunk. It was really profitable but Inoue still decided to end it where he wanted to.

And then you have legend like Adachi who write their story with a proper beginning and a proper end, but he's published in shounen sunday, not Jump. Maybe their editing policies are a bit more sensible.

Its funny because Toriyoma clearly wanted to end it with the Piccolo Jr. fight, then the saiyan saga happened then he wanted to end it with Frieza then he was forced to continue with the Android saga then finally he ended the series with the Cell games.....then they forced him to come back and this time he ended it with the Buu saga....now we have a movie.

There was no indication she was ever attracted to Obito. When Obito met her in purgatory she was just like "oh hey how's it going"

There was no indication that she didn't change. Rin was an enigma for a long time and she still kind of is. We didn't follow her throughout her story

With all the heinous tuff Obito pulled in the name of poor Rin, it would have been kittened up for her to return his feelings. He deserved to have her kick him in the balls.

Mmm, I think that the movie will be another alternative story. It'd be strange to release the ending of manga while anime is still ongoing.
