Either or, I just want to see Sasuke get punched in the face by Sakura, just for treating her like crap, during their year before he left, just to get his comeuppance.

I think that's a very good reason why to easily hate sasusaku. I mean the dude is a jerk in their early year, left the village, and gets the girl in the end that he was a main jerk to with no comeuppance? Who writes such a story like that? But maybe I'm being bias here, because I really do love it when the jerk gets his comeuppance and the main guy, who the audience sympathize with and roots for the most (Naruto), gets what he deserves (becoming Hokage and spends a lot of time (more than before) with Sakura).

Meh. I seriously doubt that Sasuke will turn back good. I mean, look at who he is now. I don't think a simple "plz come bak, I wub joo :'33" is gonna make him snap out of his psychopathic ways. The only time he's probably gonna realise what he's done is when he's on the brink of dying in the final battle. Unless Kishi-sensei decides to pull off the biggest sucker punch to our faces and make him all lovey-dovey and dandy-wandy. Regardless, that would completely be OOC for him, even if he is redeemed

And that's why fanfiction exists. Fortunately, and unfortunately.

I have a problem do you guys think the whole romantic tension. That Sakura has towards naruto and sasuke is somewhat destroying her character? Kishi is dragging this tension for a while now and the more he does it. The more bashing Sakura gets I really want kishi to fix this problem.

What do you mean destroying her character? The only problem I have with the whole romance thing is that her character is getting defined by it. Every time we see her lately, there is some romance drama going on.

Sigh....., I guess seeing Sakura in the recent chapters of the manga is kinda double-edged. On the downside, it's all about realizing feelings and whatnot (which gets in the way of character development if romance drama is all they have), however on the upside, she's been doing a great job showcasing herself in her role as a medic, though most of us wished that she was in another big-time fight arc. Why must the concept of upside and downside be so head-scratching in finding out what we really want out of the character?

If you guys had to pick one, do you want romance drama or showcasing of a person's abilities and tactics in a character development? For me, I rather prefer showcasing a person's abilities, since romance drama is always second to the main story and it always come unintentional and naturally, unless the author makes the romance drama the main story.

Well, I think that the only way it's destroying her character with the lingering feelings for Duck butt. As soon as she gets her feelings for Naruto in order and in check, then everything will be good. Kishi just needs to cut the tension and make her realize she loves Naru.

Duck Butt Lol. I haven't heard that in so long. But yeah its not really destroying her character its actually doing the opposite in my opinion shes becoming stronger through the tension in the romance.

Ohhhhh, Duck Butt. Yeah, I used to refer to him as a chicken head or a rooster head (haven't in a while), but anywho, yes, her character development will be 100% destroyed if she ends up with Sasuke, because her character development is pretty much, trying to prove Sasuke wrong and live outside of the shadows of being called the dreaded "Sasuke fangirl" and realize that in certain times, there was only one person that she could always look up to for moral support and not feel like a number two (though sometimes, she might get those thoughts which should be strayed away), and of course that was Naruto.

Yeah, I've always figured her character development in subplot was trying to get past her fangirl stages in part 1, too. I wonder how she'll get over it. Or, in a more... Better way of re-wording it, I wonder how Kishi will make her get over it, since he's not that good in the writing romance department, as he's stated before, right?

Well its important for Sakura to think about Sasuke. Why? Well imagine if NS were to happen right now without her thinking about duck butt. Seems unsatisfiying right? That's the reason her confession was a failure. Because her feelings for Sasuke needs to be resolved before NS can truly happen. That's what chapter 540 is setting up thanks to the lover-nin. I think the reason Kishi is dragging this drama is because he's saving it until the end of the manga. Once we see Sakura completely moving on from Sasuke and onto Naruto, expect the ending to come soon. So it will probably be before the Sasuke fight.

This makes me think about Kakashi for some reason.. he needs to get stronger.. alot stronger, because I got a feeling they will come for Kakashi's eye.. *screams in terror of Kakashi getting hurt*

Or it could mean that it was a tie. Sasuke didn't seem to be in good shape either, it seemed like he was forcing himself to stand up in the end, right after Naruto woke up.

But that would mean that the next Naruto/Sasuke fight wouldn't be the climax of the series, which I feel has been foreshadowed way too many times. I guess we'll see what happens when they finally fight, but I also doubt it'll be identical to that OVA. Though I certainly wouldn't mind it if it was.

i know this was probably discussed a billion times.. but, what if Sasuke turns good and somehow, someway, does go back to Konoha and team 7? It confuses me cause, wouldn't Sakura again fall for him?
