It was hard to visit NF without them throwing stuff at your face about Kishi and the movie being canon and his way of showing that this was what was sure to happen in the Manga, I even read post stating that what other excuse the NS camp will have after Kishi crushes there hope and not to mention that it will be the Author himself so the NS fan will not longer have any other excuse.
Men how does declarations change these days.
You know while reading your post I have to lough at what you say, because anything that happen between Naruto and Sakura are only because of Sasuke, comic relief, red hearing, filler or any other excuse the other camp comes up with to ignore what they refuse to believe while everything that happens with their OTP is a clear indication that Kishi is making there pairing canon. So much bias and hypocrisy.
Oh man, I remember reading that thread when they thought NH/SS were going to be main focus. While NS isn't the main focus, it's definitely a subplot, especially on Sakura's side, hence the beginning argument. But yeah, sadly, people dismissed the movie now because it's not in their favors. It was really funny when the movie preview was shown, which is the full movie before the actual release date, people begged for spoilers. They got it and that's when we learned that AU! Characters are only comic relief and barely there, which I think the most we get is 5 minutes, asides from Sasuke, who got 2 minutes or less. Turns out the main premise is in fact Naruto's family. His bond with Sakura is also shown as she gradually cares for him and his once in a lifetime dream. Naruto then have the struggle to stay with his family or save Sakura to move on back to reality. I seriously can't wait for this movie.
Oh yeah, back to the reactions. I remember how much people denied that the movie wasn't actually the movie. Then, we have one person who went and saw the movie. When they asked for NH, they were heavily disappointed. When they asked for SS, possibly bigger disappointed than NH because on how Sasuke treated Sakura: another day in business. I didn't ask for NS. That is until in 2chan, people were saying that NS got a huge focus. While not the main focus, it's definitely the main pairing focus, possibly the only one. Well, MinaKushi does get moments, but that's already canon. Then, I decided to ask the person if there's NS moments. At first, he/she got me down a bit, but it turns out it was a misunderstanding. He/she thought I asked for SN. People, how nicely, corrected him/her and then replies, "Oh sorry. I am a bit tired. Throughout the movie, there are tons of them, including them being together at all time. Best scene would be the fence scene. So yeah, you'll like it a lot." So of course, I was incredibly happy.
Bottom line, well fans are fans. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. In this case, we were the underdogs and we managed to get the win. After that movie, knowing it's from Kishi, there's no way he can destroy his intentions in the manga. 615 did signal it but later get toned down big. Only matter of time that the world will accept NS is the real deal.
