i really am disgusted with myself for ever liking this series. i mean, i saw the early signs, but i just brushed it off as nothing to be concerned about. i questioned the things he's done at times, but i believed that no matter how ugly it got that ns would pull through.

 

brb, gonna go to the hospital to get my head checked.

 

I feel the same way. I'm frustrated that I put so many years into following and caring about Naruto. Granted, there was a long stretch of about 250 chapters where I only followed out of sheer determination, but I can't believe I cared so much. And sadly, I can't believe I still care as much as I do.

it's disgusting, his hate for women is too obvious. and i don't buy the bs that he actually liked sakura's character, because if he did he wouldn't have sakura continue to pin after sasuke who is basically her kryptonite. the only character who i can say that kishi truly loved, was obito. that despicable terrorist not only got the woman that he loved, he got sent off to the afterlife with a compliment from his victim.

Part 1 and 2 were all about Sasuke, and I completely expected the ending and part 3 to be about Sasuke as well. Who knew it would switch in an instant and have Hinata throw the whole series over. Sasuke's completely irrelevant now. It's all about Hinata. 
 
Both characters have ruined the series: Sasuke in the beginning and Hinata in whatever's to come. They both superceded Naruto and Sakura in getting what they wanted while doing so little to deserve it.

nah tricksie , if there was one thing cool in part 1 and even early part 2 a little was that everything wasnt centered on sasuke.
and besides sasuke got what he wanted ? He ended with someone he had no feelings for , was robbed of his justice and his final resolution regarding his goals. I believe his ending was pretty bad too

I offer you all a word of comfort. Bad writing decisions can always be retconed out of existence. Like when Days of Future Past undid X3 and that horrible Wolverine movie. Or like today, when it was announced that the next alien movie will make everything after Aliens non-canon.

Problem is I can never see it happening with Naruto

From what I'm noticing, it's only Naruto fans who do approve of this ending. If you go to a Naruto site, then most comments will be of approval. However, if you go to a more diverse site with a Naruto article, casual fans are fairly disappointed as well...also there's the "I told you so" people....

I feel that way too sometimes.  I feel badly because I feel that my certainty might have persuaded some people to hang on for something that ended up not happening.  I wasted a lot of time and effort defending Kishimoto and believing he had a plan.  Shame on me.

Thanks.  I'm recovering from pneumonia.  It's been a rough couple of weeks.

That's only because Kishimoto painted Sasuke into a corner by not giving him a realistic motivation.  Making Sasuke two-dimensional and so single-minded in his stupid goals made it impossible to resolve his character in a way that made any sense.  

 

After being so irrational, hateful, and essentially aimless (so easily influenced) throughout the entire story, we're supposed to buy that he's suddenly capable of commitment, marriage, and fatherhood -- and believe that he loved Sakura all along despite displaying a consistent disinterest in her survival.

 

But yeah.  It shows just how far the series has sunk that even Sasuke has faded and blurred into the background of the Hinata Show.

True...sigh...I wish I hated Sakura. I wish I liked Hinata like everybody else and I hated Sakura. Then maybe I wouldn't be so bothered. Everybody in this sh*tty fandom hates Sakura and praises Hinata like it's nothing.

Recovering from pneumonia can be nasty at times. It does take some time. Couple of weeks are gonna be rough...but...you'll make it through Have good rest and a healthy diet and all will be fine!
