Hmmmm....Kishimoto wanted to show that NH and SS were terrible couplings by supporting NaruSaku then making the other two tragically canon at the end? This is the only way I'll forgive Kikitten!
Harry Potter ending I could handle...because even though I prefer H/Hr Harry had said in DH that Hermione was like a sister to him and there weren't really in romantic hints between them in the books... But Naruto was different.
Naruto HAD a confirmed crush on Sakura and almost had her returned feelings. They were never given any closure about why they didn't get together--made even more sh*tty since Naruto's last word before the epilogue was "Sakura-chan".
They were not like "brother and sister". They were a relationship that had strong romantic potential but was friendzoned at the end.

You know what's the worst part for me? By the time 693 came out, I really convinced myself that was SS's closure and I almost entirely believed it. But also, something I never told you guys here, I had this voice in the back of my mind saying, "Well, it's a little weird Sakura's feelings for Sasuke are getting so much attention. I mean it's almost like there pushing Sasuke to acknowledge and return it ..." And then when the NH promos/trailer came out, that voice came again and said, "This would be a bad way to market a non-canon couple. People would already know the couple by seeing the ending so the trolling/marketing won't really give them more money". And then what did we get with 699/700?

 

Damn this hurts. Why didn't I listen to that voice earlier to save me the dissapointment. I put too much faith in Kishimoto's credibility.

These type of people seriously need some help. They should be happy that their ship is canon through the kittentiest ending. Go make some fan fiction stories or fan art. Instead, they waste all their time and energy bashing NS and trying to change our minds.

Oh derp! I feel a little stupid but I don't know what the forum format is   . I usually just copy the image and paste it here where I'm writing (bummer it works with windows).

Believe me I understand, but if they actually start using their brains they would probably find out how unsatisfying an end this is for their princess: and there's why, pairing aside (copy/paste from another thread 'cause I'm lazy):

 

Nobody is happy there, not Sakura, not Sasuke, not Naruto and i'm rationalizing not even Hinata is truly happy.

I realized why it is that I can't even look at her, it's because she had potential, she had the potential to show that a woman is more than just a husk who thinks only about her crush. Kishi could have done marvelous things with her, he could have shown us the path of a young girl who matured and went beyond what fans expected from her, a girl who would honour the death of her cousin anf dedicate herself to manage and better her clan abolishing the cage seal and being a fair and just head for her Hyuuga.
I feel that both she and Sakura should have represented the growth of a girl into a woman and while Sakura showcases the growth of a girl into a kunoichi, into a doctor and a fighter, Hinata should have shown the growth into a leader. And that's why I realized that she's the character that deluded me above all others. We should have had Sakura the head medic and Hinata the clan leader, and instead we got Sakura the housewife and Hinata the NOTHING. 
As a woman this disgusts me and deludes me more than everything else Kishimoto could have done. So yeah, bad ending, no WORST ending ever.

Ending still p*sses me off because Sakura hated Sasuke in Shippuden...she would've chosen Naruto over him 10x over.
But stupid Kishimoto regressed her character just to make SS/NH happen. Mark my words everyone-- SAKURA WOULD'VE CHOSEN NARUTO! But haters got what they wanted and she tossed herself in the trash..thanks to Kishimoto.

I still think of this ending an go, how can this not be someones bad fanfiction? It is so broken and not thought out. Regardless if it did not end as Narusaku (which it really kittening should have.) The ending is just simply bad story telling.

One of the many thing that doesn't added up in making SS canon.

in thelatest chapter, Sasuke tried to chop Madara through Sakura without giving a damn

Naruto ask Sasuke to save Sakura bu she ended up save by Kakashi's Susano'o

That voice you heard is the same I hear, the one that tell you it should happen unless the author for X Y Z reasons decide to throw coherence through the window. I was always afraid that he sell out to NH and it'll use SS to justify it. And sadly it happen.

Completly agreed but it so much more than just the pairing. 699 is all about Sasuke. We don't see Naruto give a resolution to either Hinata nor Sakura. Random stuff Happen in the futur like Fat Anko, Choji/Karui out of no where, Ino/Sai ( when sai clearly state in his mind that he find ino ugly) Naruto and Sasuke being bad dad. All women are portray as housewives. None of the character seems to have obtain what they wanted. No one seems happy
