You gotta remember her rivalry though

I don't think her rivalry was the reason for her feelings though. It just fueled it. But considering what happened to NS, I wouldn't be surprised if that happened. :/

She wanted acknowledgement from Sasuke  bc he was the coolest guy and every girl liked him  she was literary bragging  to the girls  how was it not ?  Its one of the reasons besides Sasuke being popular and good looking .

There is no real reason for her feelings. She literally walked up to a group of girls, Ino included, when she was like 5 talking about "I think I know who I like" and said Sasuke. From there it was beating Ino. Her initial feelings were nothing more than a popularity contest to cope with the fact that people bullied her. It's incredibly stupid.

I don't think that flashback happen when her age is five year old.

I don't understand why women aren't allowed to leave their first love, but the men are shown as emotionally stunted idiots whose love is rendered insignificant. Why is Naruto's love for Sakura invalid? It makes no sense.

That scene with Hinata hesitating to go give him that kittening scarf is............ ugh. She is literally going back and forth it's pitiful... well, at least, this is IC. Because just after that, the bond between her and Hanabi is completely retconed.............

Yes, and Oda said the Kishimoto's wife is a lot like Sakura. Which only brings up more confusion on this issue.
 
I personally think it simply shows just how much Kishimoto loves Sasuke. After all despite being a murder, a terrorist, a fascist, and attempted dictator of the world who would crush all of mankind's natural rights because of his own problems, Kishimoto thinks Sasuke is "pure".

Sasuke's "coolness" would have ended if he looked like Quasimodo. Instead he's a decent looking guy who is socially awkward... which to some people means that he is cool.

 

Oh look a kid with greasy hair who can't empathize with over human beings so he acts like he is better then the rest of mankind. Yeah what an awesome guy. To bad he didn't have a hunchback cause if he did the girl's knees would only be shaking in fear, and their  screams for him would be in horror over his physical appearance.

Sasuke is not in dangerous situation, but Hinata is in this movie.

But you are making it up  out of nowhere  even there they are all together  Iruka is their Sensei since the beginning    there are no separated classes   they would had separate Sensei if that was the case .  I have no idea how can you base that based on that flashback

Someone clarify something for me. Not trying to turn this into another debate/argument, but just trying to piece together inconsistencies and retcons.

In the "rivalry" conversation, does Sakura say something along the lines of the fact that it's super hard/impossible difficult for her feelings to change regarding Sakura? If so, doesn't this contradict what she tells Naruto during the confession scene? I'm trying to figure out how Kishi might resolve these possible inconsistencies.

Women can't move on. Men can.

one would think the most important bond in this series wouldn't get thrown away like we haven't had to endure his sasuke pursuit for the entirety of the series. it hasn't been touched on at all like it never even mattered in the first place.

Alright, so once they finally get inside of the castle, they split up. Toneri and Hinata are about kiss with the cookie, when Naruto interrupts them by yelling Hinata's name. Hinata being mind controlled.
Shikamaru defends Naruto, telling him to go on ahead. They show the Sand Siblings in their village, with Gaara protecting them with sand from a meteor. Goes to the leaf village, with Kakashi telling them to do some formation that has Lee in it. Lee punches a part of the meteor. Meteor is about to hit Kakashi, when Sasuke shows up like the badass he is and destroys the meteor with a chidori stream. Sasuke says if Naruto isn't there, the only one who can protect the village is him. Sasuke then disappears.

Switch over to Sakura bashing the kitten out of some puppets. That's all the fighting she gets though. Switches back to ToneHina, who's about to go in the chamber that makes them sleep. Tony makes Hinata fight Naruto, while he comments what do you think of my wife's skills. Naruto's dodges the attacks, then sticks his arm inside Hinata's boobs to stop Toneri from controlling her. Tony makes Hinata come back too him. He attacks Naruto, and Hinata wakes up, and Tony is about to put her back under his control when he gets a headache. The princess runs to Naruto, telling him that she's sorry. Naruto says he understand. Hinata says that they have to destroy the Tenseigan.

Switch to SaiSaku, who have found Hanabi. Sakura picks up the ripped red scarf. Now back to NH, Hinata says that only someone with her chakra can destroy it. Hinata then uses the Twin Lion Fists, and jumps up into the air to attack the Tenseigan. It doesn't work. Naruto looks at Hinata, then grabs her hand like 614/615 all over again. He says that if they combine their chakra, they might be able to destroy it together. Hinata says ok. They combine heir chakra and jump up together, copying the NaruSasu combo from the war since they have no originality whatsoever. The Tenseigan shatters into a cluster of Byakugans. The puppets around the castle stop working.

Switches to Killer Bee and Raikage, who fire off the chakra cannon. Destroys all the meteors. Then it goes to the Five Kages all on TV talking to each other. Raikage says they'll blow up the moon, since there's no such things as the tides. NH meet up with Shikamaru, who they tell that the Tenseigan has been destroyed. The countdown clock has stopped.

Sasuke is blunt the same way fascist are. They state outright what they want, which almost always amount to "taking away peoples natural rights". I could use many words to describe such people. "Pure" isn't one of them. I get what your trying to say though.

 

Kishimoto used that word as a way to try to soften what Sasuke did in the story. Oh he isn't a murder he's honest to his heart. Oh he isn't a terrorist he just wants to change the world. Oh he isn't trying destroy free will and mankind's natural rights, he's trying to bring about peace because he loves people to much. It's the worst kind of moral relativism that a creator should be beyond. Since Kishimoto thinks he is making some kind of Earth shattering story about how peace can be obtained though he misses that point ,and instead comes up with foolish and shallow ideas that a ten year old may come up with.

 

Here's a newsflash Kishimoto wars don't start because "people love to much", and world peace isn't going to happen because the nations of the world unite to fight an outside threat. I've said it before but I'll say it again. Every time I hear the themes Kishimoto attempts to sell I am reminded of Shelley's poem:

Naruto and Sakura are disgraces to all hero/heroines. I'm actually ashamed that they appeared on the same magazine covers as Luffy and Nami, Ichigo and Rukia/Orihime (take your pick there) and others. How disgusting.
