Ok, let's start from the beginning: Fate/Stay Night is a visual novel series by the company TypeMoon, released back then in 2004. In the lightnovel, we have three girls, and to each one of them, a route is dedicated with a different outcome. You first start of with the Fate Route dedicated to Saber, and then Unlimited Blade Works for Rin Tohsaka, and finally Heaven's Feel Route for Sakura Matou. Shirou, the main character, will fall in love with the girl, depending on the route.

The first anime was released back then in 2006 by Studio Deen and focuses on the Fate Route; however, Deen tried to cram in some parts from the other routes, so the anime from 2006 is more or less a mess (and horribly animated). In 2010, Studio Deen released a movie based on the Unlimited Blade Works route, but a lot of things were left out. Now, Ufotable has adapted the Unlimited Bladeworks route into an anime, divided into Part 1 and Part 2 with each having 12-13 episodes. Part 2 comes out this Friday I believe (Hype!). The Heaven's Feel Route will get a movie (or movie series, I'm not sure) also done by Ufotable.

There is also a prequel called Fate/Zero that takes place ten years before the current events in Fate/Stay Night. Fate/Zero was released as a light novel series back then in 2006 and later on adapted into an anime by Ufotable back then in 2011/2012.

They're adaptation of the visual novel if you mean the anime. It has 3 routes Fate, UBW and HF, they each reveal something different and different events occur and in each route some character are used and some barely show up, Fate Zero is a prequel to FSN so it ties in with all the routes from the visual novel but it assumes you know FSN and Trang will explain more lol

Kind of... but the events don't only unfold b/c of the pairings in my eyes.

Carnival Phantasm episode 8 and it's mostly with Fate and Melty Blood/Tsukihime with some reference of other Type Moon stuff, it's really funny

I checked out you guys, why didn't I know this existed b4? It  is just so funny!

 

I liked more the episodes 1,2,8,9,10 and 12, but the race episode is IMO the best yet

I can see why UBW is better than the Fate route but they all have something of their own that makes it unique, HF being the darkest which is getting a movie to show EVERYTHING
