I feel you, But taiki and akari from season 6 was ok and i read the manga the ship didnt really sink for half assed reasons.

yeah not half assed reasons for ure but still they didn't happen so I try not to think of it really anymore  taking shipping seriously in Digimon only leads to heart break

For me its only 01 pairs that really broke my heart but other seasons not really even if those pairs never happened. So technically your bitter about digimon ships in general so you rather be indifferent due to disappointing execution?

For me I feel bad about the Taiora, but not heart broken in the past I was not hardcore shipper.

No, not disappointing execution. Just that they don't happen, like in Pokemon. So I ship them more casually lol.   When I said I will try not to think about it, I meant I won't get too into it or be serious about it. I'll ship for fun, but accept nothing will happen

I HATE the way how tai is treated in his love life. I rather have him with no at this point then getting with a second rate nerd.

About the ship, they didn't become canon, I want them together.

 

Talking about Tai's loves life it is funny that Naruno ended with a girl that we know but Tai with a totally new character oh man, what 70 %  of the Digi destined got together within of the group.

yeah basically well at least the taiora pair to you was not your major opt that you loved back then. For me it was so was it for other kids in my first grade class.

 

As for taichi/meiko it feels so forced and unnecessary so far and its funny that both mc never got the girl but they end with the submissive shy moe chick.

Yeah, in the digimon adventure 01, there were moments that showed Tai likes Sora and Sora showed she has a like for Tai. In some occasions, there would be reciprocation from her as  far as I remember especially in two movies . You would say that if any pairing were to happen, it will be Tai and Sora.

 

Then season 2 came. I don't remember who they were exactly, they said Matt should be with Sora cause Matt is more handsome look than Tai or something like that. So, TS were dropped aside just for that 

 

I don't want Tai with Meiko. It's so unfair for him. There were moments where he felt hopeless as he saw Matt has more advantage than him especially when he wanted to sent her a message to come to his concert then he deleted it

I hate to break it to you there are unfortunate truth about that. Thats the reason why on my earlier post said i hate the way how tai's love life is treated.  Apparently the director of 01 didn't want taiora cause to him the pair is a cilche and he thinks sorato was being innovative. He also showed obvious favoritism towards matt/yamato he also tryed to make him sympathetic as possible so he could have a great chance getting the heroine that can fix and heal him. which is kinda stupid cause later on matt fixes and heals himself for good without having to think about  sora or having her aid.       Also he made tai stupid at one point just so sora has good reason to not be with him.

 

To me yamato kinda annoys me and didn't he learned his lessons but kept going back to own problems because of his constantly and not completely excusable whining about his tragic past?  You know maybe he could have won arguments from tai  if he didn't always whine about his tragic past. And put more effort into creating stronger bond and trust towards friends instead of always expecting them to have sympathy for him first and his arguments by putting some action into it not just words. Plus he learned his lessons and forgot about it? He made his own issues i don't feel that sympathetic for him and Because i have seen real life tragedy that are FAR more worse then his.     

 

As for the taichi meiko thing yeah i really hate that pair it feels cheap just because he didn't get with sora plus there personalitys really do not click as much as taiora or taimi. I mean shes wayyy to shy to be with taichi and she looks ugly, her digimon looks ugly and etc. Its the generic moe chick that gets paired mc. Why couldn't tai end up with mimi instead? There personality work well together, mimi is attractive, it dosen't feel THAT cheap if he got with her instead.

Yeah, the director of 01 didn't like taiora cause its pairing the two leading characters and its a cliche to him. So he had matt end up with sora to avoid that cliche. But isn't sorato a cliche too? also the pairing only replied on subtly and use taiora to develop the ship thats not great development.
