*coughs* It's possible that Karin was putting on an act because if you paid closer attention to interactions between Sasuke and Karin you'd realize that she only seriously makes a move on Sasuke when they're alone. And, to add to this, she's never stated that she forgives him yet, so it's possible that she'll bring it up with him later...when there aren't so many people.

Bolded, this is possible. She can bring it up when they're alone, but the thing is if they ever will be in a moment alone.

I see that SK has somewhat a chance if Kishi is planning on it, but the thing about SK is that Karin needs to stop her somewhat fan girlish acting with Sasuke. There are other things that need to be done, but I don't think it will be excessive as NS if he's planning on SK.

By the way, did Kishi say that he wants to make just one couple or not ? Cause I remembered once he said that he'll do just one couple.

@Dαrkrєrsŧ: I dont see it happening that way. I personally think the way the story goes especially the romance part of it suggest to have a clear couple not just left for interpretation.

I said that Narusaku will be canon and Sk will be left for open interpretation

If kishimoto doesnt ruin his own story.

If it was a choice between allowing Kishi to completely destroy what dignity his manga has left and having it result in no pairings coming to be then I honestly would choose the latter. Better for the romance subplot to remain open-ended than have something like SS come to be. Hell, even NaruHina would be tolerable (albeit it would be very disappointing) because it has had some development in the manga and the characters do have some familiar ideological traits but with SasuSaku not only does it starkly resemble the stereotypical "abused wife" relationship but it would fly in the face of all developmental progress that we've had with individual character and relationship development with NS. Granted NH does the same but its impact would be considerably less than if SS were to come to pass.

SasuKarin as of now significantly tarnishes Karin's dignity for having her return to Sasuke so easily after he attempted to murder her but honestly I don't believe that there are as many people concerned with her as they are with Sakura regressing to that same fangirlish state of mind.

Well, overall, I kinda agree with you all regarding the latest chapter. Shoking how easy Sasuke 'redeemed'himself. Kinda makes Naruto useless and Karin... O_O
However, regarding all this, I do believe and hopefully I am not going to be, once again, disappointed, Kishi has something in his sleeve.
Like Kat, a SK shipper said on Tumblr, Karin never goes dere dere with Sasuke in front of everybody. So she might be up to something.
As well, she didn't say she forgave him, just that she went all lovely-dovely with him. Not pleasant but totally weird considering Karin's behavior when she flirts with Sasuke.
So hope this is all a set-up for some twists...

Well, Karin is a sensitive type... I wouldn't find weird the fact she acted like that. Karin is able to find out if one is lying or not.. She could have sensed that Sasuke was sincere...

To be fair, she does have history with Sasuke as a companion/friend and at one point back in P1 he did seem to cherish her alongside Naruto as his "new family". Her original reasoning for "loving" Sasuke did have respectable legitimacy to itself because of her desire to be acknowledged by someone which is more than I can say for most of Sasuke's in-world fanbase. It doesn't negate everything that has happened afterward but Sakura's willingness to cling to Sasuke as someone important in her life is more understandable than something like what we saw with Ino and her recent thoughts.

If you're speaking in evolutionary terms then I suppose the individual who is the most physically attractive and efficient would be practical but for this story such traits should not be the only things to consider.

Sasuke is a horrible person when it comes to personality and relationships. He's a vindictive recluse who was almost always fixated on revenge except for a few instances like when he was a child and during his time with Team 7. Granted for some time in P2 he did seem to be forming a bond of sorts with Hebi/Taka but we've seen how unpredictable Sasuke is with how he's willing to abandon or even kill those he finds to be a burden. He's not exactly a trustworthy or sociable person to be around.
