This manga had a lot of potential. Shame that it ended up succumbing to the same pitfalls and idiocy that most of the other mangas in this genre succumb to.

I also agree with this post, if Kishi wanted to show the readers that NH is canon why bring up Sakura's shocked reaction? Why not make it clear that Naruto loves Hinata now not Sakura, the holding hands is a big plus to any pairing in my eyes, but for some reason it didn't feel natural, we normally see this in and after a battle confrontation, in a more calm situation or at the near end of a story not in this current situation. Hinata got all what she wish for in chapter 573, but still no confirmation that Naruto loves her, there is something odd about this and also sometimes I do believes things are too good to be truth when there is still a lot of story to tell.
Remember the Kages celebrating that they already defeated Madara twice and Itachi releasing the ET to show us that Madara was not done yet and actually manage to leave them almost dead.
NH to me feels the same way because there are so many things that need to be resolve before NH can even be consider canon plus Hinata's dreams have being made a reality 1 year and plus months before the story is over.

Interesting. But I don't want Hinata to die.

I admit I am not convinced that Sakura is looking like that because Hinata is there and she is not. I thought it was about what she was saying, but this is fairly consistent with how he treats Sakura. You get pictures, but no dialogue or internal thoughts, so there is room for multiple (reasonable) interpretations.
I disagree. In the venacular, it is called a three-some. Maybe a foursome if Sasuke gets bored.
It would be an interesting turn of events. I'd normally ask why do that given what happened with Pain, but Neji had his own near death before he died so its not unprecedented anymore. As much as I'd like to see that, if Kishimoto is inclined to go that route, I'd really like to see Obito go for the jugular by singling out Kakashi.
I would be if that were actually happening, but its too soon to say that this is the case, both in terms of story role and pairings.

That thought crossed my mind, but it seems like it'd be lazy writing to reuse the same plot device on the same exact same characters. Kishi already did that with Pain, I feel like it'd be redundant to do it again.
But then again, Neji's death seemed almost identical to his almost-death during the Kidoumaru fight, so I guess I wouldn't put it past him. *sigh*
Come on, Kishi. I used to think you were cool.
That's a good point actually. The only thing that comes to mind is that Sakura and Sasuke are tied up with Sasu/Saku, if he really is aiming for that, and Naru/Hina is the biggest pairing involving Naruto after S/N and N/S, I think.
About that movie though, I don't really get why there's so much N/S emphasis in there, if Kishi has a different plan for the manga. Just another reason to wait and see I guess...

I'm not dropping it, either. This is hands-down the best ship out of NS, NH, and SS. Whether or not it'll be canon, though...that is the question.

He did say that he's putting in the movie what he's not able to put in the manga. So he's unable to put NS in the manga!

Ah-greed.
Yeah, I mean, the NH bothered me, but I'm even more bothered by true fact that Hinata is being focused on so much, and looking like a heroine. Sakura is the true heroine of the series, of course, but it's about damn time Kishi showed us that. I hope the rest of the K11 get as much focus as Hinata did, cause otherwise it'd just seem unfair and like he's catering to (Hinata's) fans.

You should know that the pairing popularity is sketchy at best over there. There's no 100% confirmation which one is the more popular pairing. But, as I've said before, Hinata is the more popular character compared to Sakura over there. So, from a marketing standpoint, Hinata has more value to the manga. Also, I need to remind you that currently, Naruto chapters are being released officially on SJ Alpha. So, if the editors at Jump have decided to expand on the manga's fanbase, then it's possible they're taking international fans' opinions into consideration. Thus, leading to NH.

The family that couldn't be.
