According to these pages:
Naruto said he was compatible with Sasuke all along because of their affinities, and seeing as Hinata has the same affinities as Sasuke, does that make her compatible with Naruto? Wow, I can't believe Kishi. That goes for Sakura and Sasuke too, it seems Kishimoto had pairings in his head when he gave those affinities.

You could say he's compatible with Hinata, but Sakura completes him.

naruto and sasuke have affinities with all elements, so not...

He's still originally a wind user though, its in his blood. While the others, not really.

Sakura's affinities are connected to Sasuke's too. Water(Sakura) to Fire and Lightning to Earth(Sakura)

Some of the chakra natures seem kind of arbitrary tbh... I can understand fire because they live in the land of fire, most ninja who live there have it, but lightning?
Remember the unnecessary episode 166? Hinata was fighting Pain. Out of all a sudden she was using an attack that formed lightning and was taking forms of Lions. The reason why I still remember this is, is b/c Hinata has NEVER shown any special attacks in the manga.

Exactly. Why do people write that she and Sasuke are compatible when there is an obvious negation of fire by water and consumption of lightning by earth - Yamato even says himself that Naruto is lucky to not be an earth element!
And Naruto's wind surely makes fire stronger (we know already how he influenced Hinata), but it is good against lightning only in combat sense! Again those are Yamato's words.

Totally. SS does not deserve to be canon on principle alone, it craps all over the main character of the story. He's the one who does everything to get Sasuke back, only for his "best friend" to hook up with the girl he has loved for a long time? And Hinata as a consolation prize is supposed to make up for this?
Kishimoto might as well rename the manga to 'Sasuke' if he goes there.
