Lol guys, none of you found Pudding's actions this chapter extremely fishy? I can't put a finger on it but something is really off about her. Its like she's breaking Sanji's spirit by making him give up in the end. I still can't 100% for certain say she is one of the good guys yet. And she has yet to reveal her third eye to Sanji which means she is still holding some information back from him.

But the way how it was shown back then with that third eye girl doesn't indicate "Mwuhahaha!" type at all. If anything, that could be her drawback, rather than "perfect." We know Big Mom went to many places in terms of birth, so I feel like the third eye, if it's her, is the turn off so to say. Like a girl being a werewolf at night or something.

I think it goes like this. She is pretending to be good to lure the Straw Hats into their defeat with minimal loss on their side. Also, if she tricks Sanji into not trying to run, and staying because at least he would have her, then they get married, and her job is done. I doubt this to be what happens. We've seen how loyal other wives are to their husbands in the crew. Even after marriage, they love their husband more than their mom, it seems.

Well, Pudding could be the only one to break the mold more or less. Hard to say. Anyway, Sanji is already marrying, her point is to make it not bad. Perhaps Sanji has a plan, but may have to calm her down since she's too sensitive about not helping. I don't know. Anything goes. Nothing gain from pulling a lie unless it has a direction outside of "boohoo" moment.

Pudding isn't waifu material. She is too accepting. Waifu material can get you to see the error of your ways. Pudding won't, and that's how I see her character. Sanji needs a woman that takes him by force, not the other way around.

 

Also, are Zeus and Prometheus homies? They look like it. If so, what's keeping Nami from controlling them and sending down a hell on earth storm on the army?

What the hell are you talking about? All I'm saying is I still don't trust her. Ultimately she is still part of Big Mom's crew and we have not seen her much. There's still a possibility that she's hiding something. There's definitely more to her than meets the eye.

This thread used to be dead a few years ago but now that its active its just filled with pairing discussions which isn't the point of One Piece at all. I would rather people discuss on the story and speculate on things that does not involve breaking down small little actions a character does to the opposite sex and putting that in their shipping ammo. But this is a pairing site so I guess people who likes to ship are here. 

 

Well don't mind me, I'm just ranting here. Carry on guys.

Ah, my friend it's not that Oda/Goda doesn't want us to ship, He's just not writing in romance into the plot because he doesn't want romance to take over the adventure aspect of it nor want people to lose focus on on the adventure aspect of it. He's basically saying "think what we want but he is not confirming anything nor goading us on". Probably not even at the end. Maybe.  shipping is notthe same as having confirmed romance into the plot of a story, fans will ship REGARDLESS of the creator's intentions

What is that?

 

In short The man in the Iron Mask is a story based on true events, but things were changed up a bit. The true part of the story is that a man existed back in like the 1600's who was imprisoned, however no one knew his identity since he had a cloth over his face at all times. He died without anyone ever knowing who he really was, and why his identity had to remain a secret. So all kinds of theories came out and stories, but the one that stood out was by Voltaire. He said that the man wore a mask of iron instead of cloth and that he was the older, illegitimate brother of Louis XIV. Years go by and then Alexandre Dumas adds his own flare to the story, which is that the man is not only King Louis brother, but his identical twin.

 

This is the story people think about when the hear Man in the Iron Mask. It was made into a ton of movies, but most everyone thinks of the one Leonardo DiCaprio was in. It also has the three musketeers in it as well.

 

Movie Spoliers

King Louis is a jerk, the musketeers learn of a young man in a prison who wears an iron mask. They free him and then they learn who he is. It turns out when the twins were born the King separated them since he knew that blood shed happened with siblings and the throne. When hes on his death bed he tells the queen, who thought her second baby died, and his son Louis, that his twin is alive. 

 

Louis is a freaking mad man, and he's afraid his brother will take his place as King, so he has his twin arrested and held captive with an Iron mask on so that no one know who he really is, and he remains there for years. Sorry for the drawn out answer, but I love history, and books, and Leonardo DiCaprio

The heart wants what the heart wants   Now I love One Piece's story way more then Naruto's, like a billion to one. I'll admit that I was reading Naruto towards the end there just to see who he ended up with because the story started failing big time. However that isn't the deal with One Piece. I personally love the little discussions we all have here because at the end of the day they're pretty funny.

Shipping will always happen, yes, but for a series like One Piece, it shouldn't be the main topic discussion like with Naruto at the end. Seriously? Did anyone talk about the story when Naruto was ending?
