Whether it was Kishimoto's stupidity and clear lack of talent, or indeed the SP beta males work just remember this first and foremost, this was Kishimoto's choice. All of this stupidity goes back to him. All of this falls to his feet. This is his failure, because even if this is SP's doing he allowed them to control his work.

 

Kishimoto is a hack fraud.

Oh yeah I agree completely. SP may have taken over the Naruto franchise, but it was Kishi who handed them the keys.

I meant the way she was portrayed. Oh god! So sorry for that but just an image of her in my mind just throws me in a fit of rage. Its her character as to how its drawn and portrayed and showed to the audience I am talking about. Not like the ones who came before the Last...

and yeah, I did. I honestly feel like my brain melted

humm...that's a possibility !   if that baby really exists, that thing will surely be uglier than his brother and sister with it's alien-eyes !

I really can't understand why all the kids are ugly, when kishi succeeded at drawing the previous generations at 6-8 y.o.

I understand the hate on Sakura bc of 693-700. She looked like she was going to make a comeback after she punched out a shinobi goddess.

 

But how can you hate her character when you see not only what's been done to her but what she has lost? Before ppl hated her bc of her weakness to Sasuke.

 

But now that she's married him all of a sudden she's "Mature" and "Likeable" now?

 

She barely gets any fight scenes in the Last and yet they think she's stronger?

 

And as for the fans who chant "Kill her" and "I wish Sasuke's chidori was real" are you kidding me? 

 

Do you like to see a person constantly belittled and beat down? Is this how society works, do we cheer on people who harass and mentally torture others?

 

Because if that is what they want to see, someone beaten down, I will happily beat them into the ground. This fan base is just plain awful. A bunch of sheep who think with their kittens instead of their brains and hearts.

In the end it's tragic to both Hinata and Sakura but Hinata gets away because of pretty face and loves main character despite said love being portrayed as we all know.

I'll always defend pre 693 Sakura. She's the real Sakura. Just like pre 698 is the real Naruto.

I can't see well the kanji, but I think it is "気になる" which I think means " to worry/care about"

QFT. Sakura is no longer the heroine, because she's not popular enough. It's so stupid. Even if I could forgive everthing else, I can't forgive an author who will freely admit that he would willingly change his story based on popularity. I am aware that Naruto is a commercial product, but that's not really the point. The point is that if Kishi is willing to change the heroine based on popularity, then who's to say that he won't change other parts of his story.

 

What this is basically telling us is that it's not about telling a good story, it's about popularity. Quality doesn't matter as long as it makes a profit. Naruto is nothing more than a cash cow. It was already a cash cow even before the ending, but at least it still had a somewhat compelling story. Now that's gone and what we're left with is essentially a glorified reader poll disguised as a story. 

 

What's even worse is that this direction was based on what is essentially a minory of the fandom. 

 

Not surprised. His interviews portray him as someone who can easily be manipulated lol.

Yeah. I can't tell whether Kishi is greedy or incompetent or or just plain stupid. I think it a little of all three. It's obvious that he wants to be succesfull and make money, but at the same time it seems like much of the succes of Naruto can be attributed to his first assistant Yahagi. This has probably given him the mindset that listening to input from others is always a good idea, which it is, but it's also important to have a creative vision and stick to it, otherwise the story gets messy and incoherent. Unfortunately Kishi is either too stupid or too naive to understand this the result is the mess that is 699/700, The Last and now Part 3.
