Thats got me thinking. Kishi might want Kakashi to have a kid too, and Rin might just be the perfect girl.. now where is she? *looks in your closet*
edit: okay so I went and check it out, and she is dead. In the 3rd Naruto Shippudne Movie, Kakashi says that he couldn't protect Rin and that all his comrades died.

But then where could Rin be hiding? Seems pointless to hide.

You have a point. I was thinking in terms of actual strength but character development are the wrong words. Maybe I should say Sakura saving Naruto would show how strong she is instead. Thinking about it Sakura would already save Naruto no matter what. But ACTUALLY saving his life from danger using her brains and skills would at least prove the haters wrong(especially because it was Sakura not Hinata).
So sorry! Wrong words there.
its okay- you don't have to apologize! i got what you meant the 1st time >.<
showing sakura kick ass always makes me happy too (it just doesn't happen enough

I was just being nit picky cause i'm priggish about that word, character development gets pushed around a lot in stories in general- but sometimes it gets confusing what character developement actually means per say for a particular character. (I use to think flash backs were character development- but reading Tv tropes helped explain that they aren't- flash backs are made to show why a character is in the current state of mind @3@- that totally blew me away )

*sigh* well there's always anko
- okay no- on serious side- kakashi probably avoids romance all together, he loves his icha icha too much to give it up for real relationship XD

Hmmmm, maybe, but even though this is not really part of the main story, maybe Kakashi would have one of those realizations on where his life is going and whatnot, that maybe he does want to start a family?

Heh heh, thanks! I guess I have a bad habit of throwing fancy words in my posts when I'm debating a point. I guess it makes me sound smarter than I am.

Though I suppose I would have done a better job arguing my point if I left that little sidenote out.

Kakashi's mentioned losing everyone close to him outside of that movie, so I'd take that as a heavy implication that she died. At the very least, he mentioned losing all of his loved ones to Sasuke and Yugao (random purple-haired Anbu woman) during Part I.
He also mentions that he wasn't able to protect Rin right here. The anime showed Rin, Obito, and Minato greeting him when he 'died', but I can't recall/find that in the manga. It seems like that chapter came out so long ago now, and I tend to forget small things they change in the anime.
As far as the pairing stuff goes, I don't think Kishi was trying to foreshadow anything as much as just draw a parallel. Obito and Rin were basically introduced in that very short arc, and making them almost carbon copies of Naruto and Sakura, and using the exact same love triangle, helps to make them more likable to the reader for the short span of time that the story will feature them.
I will say though, that Obito's feelings for Rin were definitely portrayed in a very selfless manner. However, I'm not sure if they would've ended up together because of that. I mean, right after Kakashi tells Rin that Obito loved her, she attempts to confess her own feelings to Kakashi. I don't know, that just seemed low to me. Maybe it's just the heat of the moment, or just the fact that Rin didn't have a lot of time to dwell on Obito's feelings for her, but I'd think finding out that her comrade, who just sacrificed his life for her, was actually in love with her would somewhat undermine Rin's feelings for Kakashi. Though I suppose Rin was such a minor character, maybe it's just hard for me to empathize with her in that scenario.
But again, I don't think the character parallel was meant to be foreshadowing. Even if I'm wrong about that, though, we still have other parallels helping out our pairing in Mina/Kushi and Jira/Tsu.

Speaking of filler and admiration - I know it was a filler episode, but around episode 80 when Sakura brought Naruto the basket of berries and watched him train, (before Sai told Sakura "I knew it" and showed her the book: "How words reveal someones feelings.") I know it was filler, but part 1 Sakura was always bringing Sasuke things to eat and stuff. I'm almost positive there was a manga moment with her and Naruto like that too.
Plus the whole ramen feeding scene. The panel showed Sakura aggravated that Kakashi / Sai interrupted with her fist in the air.
So if they're already dating at times, (even going on small dates in some panels,) .. That would definitely count as unofficial "seeing eachother." I'm not sure how it works in Japan, but I do know that they don't have public displays of affection, am I right? I heard that somewhere. And judging on the villagers reactions when she hugged Naruto so openly..

Had to get this out.

Yeah, basically it seems to be a parallel. As far as her suddenly confessing like that, it's sort of Kishi's style with desperate confessions, isn't it? It reminds me a lot of Hinata's confession. You know, final moments, we might be dead soon, I need to get this off my chest... I'd say the aftermath might have been more telling, but we don't ever see Rin again so it's hard to say how that moment changed her. We know it really changed Kakashi, at least.
Eh, Kishi simply cares more about the brother bonds and unrequited love than fleshing out the female characters...at least most of the time. XD

Is that good for NS though? The whole Obito/Rin/Kakashi thing confuses me, since Rin seemed a bit cold when it came to desperately confessing her love for Kakashi right after Obitos death.

I worry it'll be similar for Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke. Naruto being the selfless love type of guy, Sakura still caring about Sasuke no matter even if Naruto dies, although I still doubt it. I mean Sasukes evil and she seems ashamed of her feelings if anything. I can see the parallel if Sasuke was the one to die and Naruto saying that Sakura loved him, then Sakura going right out and saying she loves Naruto.

I will start with Wally (Kid Flash) and Artemis from Young Justice. This is an American pairing version of N/S. Wally is obnoxious, can be annoying sometimes and he's very hyperactive like our number one knuckle head ninja. Artemis is calm and collected but sometimes she can be like Wally not showing it much, she's always dissaproving of Wally's behavior and she started disliking him at the beginning like Sakura to Naruto. Only difference I see between them is that Wally has a crush on the Man hunter's daughter so it's the opposite with Sakura liking Sasuke and obviously he hasn't realize that he really likes Artemis and vice versa with Wally.

Unless Kishi decides to make Hanare canon, well, that's another story.
The family that couldn't be.

lol narusaku does fail
And this is my friends,is the ugly truth xD
Epic Fail indeed
That's most likely to happen if Naruto got close to her XD
Really but Sakura is the one flirting and hogging

I really starting to think that the other paring don't read the manga, they only read fanfiction and see the Anime.

Opinions opinions.

True I just laughed every time they used the most cliche argument of "Sakura abusing Naruto by hitting him all the time"

Ahah yeah, I liked when she got angry at him because he didn't believe her. She had every right to, Naruto had it coming that time, definitely.
Helga and Arnold from Hey Arnold, CC and Niles (Probably spelt wrong.) from the nanny. They ended up getting married after years of constant at eachothers throats whenever one walked in the room, although I suppose Niles was sort of a male tsundere, and CC was definitely a tsundere too. So combined.. /insert atomic bomb. Uh..

Peter and Lois from Family Guy, Homer and Marge from the Simpsons hey wait I think there's already a thread about this.

Ah definitely peter and lois! Peter's such an idiot and she's the one always putting him in line. Stewie/Olivia, too. Stewie was this lovesick puppy if I remember correctly and Olivia was bossy and bratty but yet he loved her. They even got "married" and lived in a box house in one episode, I think. That was until Stewie went Physco and tried to burn her down with the house in it...

Cleaarr!
