But I wonder where do we draw the line at Kishi giving certain pairings "hope"? If he continues with the NaruHina (and 615 wasn't the only chapter that hinted at that, you have 611, 559, and 573--) is he just pandering to the fans or is it something more resolute. Say that he gives NaruSaku a moment in the future. Why would we automatically assume that this time around he's developing the canon pair when we thought that the others he gave attention to in the near past was just fanservice? Just because its not NH or SS he is giving moments to, than that means its his deciding factor? I have to say that 615 wasn't simply a little one-sided interaction with Hinata fangirling over Naruto with him being oblivious all the while, or even like the 437 confession where, while a big event for Hinata, there was little mutuality in the moment. This time Naruto was aware of Hinata, and what went down had interaction where both parties were showing some sort of affection for the other (take the hand squeezing/holding however you want, that wasn't showcased as something insignificant by way of panels).

We have no proof that 615 implied anything romantic from narutos side. 616 supports that even more since naruto ran to everyone and gave them his chakra.

Next thing, why we assume that with a future NS moment kishi is developing the canon pairing is because the NS pairing is the most developed one during the whole manga, even in part 1. So if kishi suddenly starts to give NH or SS moments (if we can call it so) after 600 chapter NS focus, of course we assume that hes only giving fanservice to other fandoms.

But what else can we label it as other than "hope"? Hope is the only term we can label the scenes you brought up because we know it's definitely romantic on Hinata's part, but what about Naruto? Think about this, and I mean really think about this. 620 chapters later and Naruto has not shown the slightest indication that he has romantic feelings for Hinata. A sacrificial confession didn't do the trick, and the pep talk that Naruto received from Hinata didn't work either. Nothing's changed other than Hinata finally growing a backbone. Now I'm not gonna sit here and deny that in 615 they'd shared a moment, but the hand holding was a tactical move from Naruto, while it heavily felt romantic for Hinata. Seriously, what is there to discuss about?

I think Kishimoto is definitely being incognito about Naruto's feelings at the present moment- for both Sakura and Hinata. You can't say that it isn't worrying when the manga all but avoids bringing up the matter- especially when the author has little problem doing it for other characters at the current time. All the while he is dodging that, he allows Naruto to have several moments with Hinata in the current arc, the climactic moment being where he takes her hand. So while Naruto has not clarified a yes or no with the girl, he is still being very encouraging and not suggesting an eventual "thanks but no thanks." I'm of the opinion that this is an entirely wrong way for Kishi to go if he wants the latter, and I'm sure that he knows this.

Maybe because Naruto is the main character and his feelings are more important in the end.
Maybe because Sakura is still the only one among those one-sided pairings who showed non-platonic feelings for the other partner.
Maybe because of all the parallels and themes that NS fit in.
Maybe because while Kishi is giving some NH moments in the manga, he made a movie full of NS fanservice.

I get your point, NH has chance to happen and we can be wrong in our assumptions, but you can't say that we don't have base to assume that Kishi is just misleading the readers because well we have.

100% Agreed! But the only girl Naruto has shown romantic interest in the entire series is Sakura and Sakura only. I just can't imagine now near the end that his feelings will shift to Hinata, especially since his nindo is to never give up. So he gives up his love for Sakura, but doesn't give up on saving Sasuke? Wow. Plus, why would Kishi still have Naruto harbor feelings for Sakura in Rtn if he was intending to have them shift to Hinata?

Naruto's feelings for Sakura were pretty obvious during her confession even though he was confused by her actions. In their world, her confession happened a little over a week ago. I do not think Naruto has moved on from Sakura THAT quickly. And in reality, Sakura has not moved on that quickly from Sasuke either (given that she had only found out how bad Sasuke had gotten a few days before her confession to Naruto)

It's no wonder she was thinking about him when that random nin confessed. She hasn't truly had enough time to think about her feelings for the super terrible Sasuke. I'd like to think I would be able to move on from someone like that real quick, but who am I kidding? If I thought I loved that person, I'd still be heartbroken. No doubt I would hate that person as well, but I'd be heartbroken. Then again, I would never develop a crush for someone like Sasuke anyway.

Sakura's feelings for Sasuke are no doubt on the road to non-existence (of course, she'll always love him though, as a friend or a special person or whatever like Naruto, however stupid that is) Neither Sakura or Naruto has truly had the time to work things out. It's not like after Hinata's confession where there were probably weeks or days in between for him to talk to her (or her to talk to him), they weren't doing anything but walking around and looking at things being built.

Added onto that, romance is not really important when the world is on the brink of destruction (of free will) I'd rather then wait and have a moment to talk things out rather than rush things along on the battle field. NS has always been slow, we shouldn't expect a huge moment when something else is happening.

It seems Hinata is only there for the action, Sakura is there before and after bad stuff goes down.

i think your intepretation is like they are real human beings they are not, i'm also against the interpretation of time on Naruto, time is not important on Naruto, i forgot that 15 secs of Sakura that lasted a lot of panels and even Goku's battle against Freeza were the planet had 15 mins before exploding and that took 3 episodes or 1 hour and half.
WHat i'm saying is time does not matter, time does not downplay the scenes on Naruto and neither explain what happened the purpose of that scene was just to show Sakura's feelings after the summit, and the lover nin which was a lesson (if you love someome he must deserve your feelings) something along those lines while she thought only about sasuke because it is her crush and she loves him, the lover nin opened the path for her to get over those feelings for Sasuke.]
It was a reality shock, that there are people who loves her, and wants to be with her.

This is why it would feel extremely weird if Naruto suddenly loves Hinata now.

Even if Hinata activates her "golden byakugan" in order to do some love-love combo with Naruto, as some fans speculate, and then Naruto revealed his new found feelings for Hinata it just wouldn't fit the general flow of the story.

No matter what Hinata does now the fact of the matter is that her role is of secondary importance. Naruto's care for her has always been of a secondary level, even after chapter 615. It would feel too out of place for Hinata to take a primary role alongside Naruto only now near the end.

The buildup for NaruSaku is about the progress of the personal relationship they share between each other. The buildup of NaruHina is about the Hinata's character progress towards Naruto. NH feels way too one sided.

I was watching Sakura's reaction but i couldn't tell what she reacted to? I was just wondering if you think Sakura knows he is the son of the fourth or if she has no idea at all?
I could make two predictions either it is a "Holy kitten is that the fourth hokage" or if it was "Holy kitten what about Naruto, are you ok"

It's like what you said. When they entered the room, Minato said, "We return from the mission." When Naruto and Sakura turned around, it was shocking. Sakura saw them alive but immediately switch to Naruto because Naruto will be devastated to see something like that. She was very concern on Naruto's reaction, so Naruto slowly yet confusingly said, "Dad...Mom...Alive?" I believe in the next scene Naruto is angry that Tobi brought them back in AU to mess with Naruto and Sakura was there to witness his frustration.

Refer back to my earlier comment: "I highly doubt Kishimoto is motivated by money, but I think he likes to tease pairings for fun." I wasn't referring to this movie only, but the manga as a whole. Remember, there was the yaoi sasusai scene, kakanaru, kakairu, and so forth.

I'm confused about your comment. He didn't animate the movie, but he write the script. There's sasusaku, sasu/everyone, hinanaru, itasaku, nejihina, and leetenten. He's not "giving hope" per say; he didn't make the trailer, just like most scriptwriters don't make their film trailers.

Kishimoto didn't make the cologne, his publisher or whoever owns the license did -- I'm not sure why in your statement is contradicting itself.

Oh my.....are those translations for real? Is kishi responsible for this?? Of he is then narusaku is undoubtedly confirmed to be cannon!!!

And to those who say that kishi said that he put everything into this movie that he couldn't in thr manga, true, but thing is, every NS moment we saw in the movie was in the manga, like the bridal saving, the care, sakura helping naruto stand naruto and sakura going on a date naruto and sakura fighthing along side eachother kushina teasing naruto about sakura-but in thr manga kushina told naruto to find a girlfriend like her which he did and so much more!!

Yea, he said it in one of the Road To ninja interviews. And it's true, I mean we have minato revived in both. (I know that in the movie they're just in a gengetsu but minato was there)
