But I don't get one thing:

 

Why would the people from the US branch know anything about the movie at all? Why would they need to know? I don't see how they could be involved in the development for the movie.

 

Not to mention that the movie is a project between Kishi and the anime team, not the manga team.

 

Maybe Kishi started giving tiny details about the movie to colleagues and that info spread all the way the Shonen US. It's a stretch though.

Perhaps I can shed some light here. I actually work in the world of marketing and entertainment. It would make sense that Viz would know about the script and perhaps even seen a rough cut or final cut of the movie by now. Naruto is one of their biggest titles and it's their job to market it to the western world. Whether The Last is to be the last release for the Naruto franchise or it is meant to mark the end of this era and the begging of a new one, it would make sense for Viz to need to know about the plans for the property going forward.

 

Remember, the movie is supposed to come out in about two months. Which means that the movie, is likely almost done already. They're probably about to begin post production for the movie pretty soon (if not already). Anyway, this is merely my opinion based on my experience in the industry.

It's possible that SJ USA will get an exclusive interview for USA audience, so maybe they got a sneak peak. It could happen.

Idk if it's just me and my tiredness but the sentence is just weird.... "In the last, #Naruto with Sakura Naruto's future seems to be a sure thing!". So Sakura being with Naruto guarantees his future? Whatt Anyways, NS is already gonna be canon. I just think it will be before the movie but you never know.

SS got trolled because they thought RTN would have a bunch of SS moments but there wasn't much pairing related when it came to them.. I think? Sasuke was barely in the movie lol. I think all the teases mean something. My only fear is that NS doesn't become canon before the movie. 

thats the understatement of the century. once the SS and NH fans saw the playboy sasuke with sakura and the crazy hinata with naruto, they were like "CANON!!!!!!!!!!!!!" then we got all the sketchs, constant spoilers, new characters, plot spoilers, and even a bunch kishimoto interviews talking about how he was in charge of the movie, like one where he said road to ninja was what he wished the manga could be, and how he wished minato and kushina could be alive and a family to naruto. we also got trailers that spoiled the NS moments completely. once the movie came out, SS and NH  fans were like "FILLER, NOT MADE BY KISHIMOTO BECAUSE IT ISN'T OUR PAIRINGS"   so basically the teasing argument isn't valid because teasing was done constantly the last movie. if they teased NS before which they did in that movie and it happened, then they could tease again and it could happen. in fact the spoilers and everything road to ninja related didn't start until march 2012, before that we only knew about the movie, everything was hush hush. the movie though ending up coming out 4 months later in july 2012, we just had to wait a year for eng subs, so I wouldn't doubt the possibilities of teaser trailers and other spoils for the last naruto the movie if I were you xD

Yeahh. NH and SS wasn't teased like this I think. We just got the clips of Hinata being the opposite of herself to Naruto and Sasuke being a playboy, so it was all based on speculation when it came to pairings. 

wrong *looks at trailer of hinata threatening sakura for being with naruto, in front of naruto* , * looks at trailer of sasuke giving sakura the rose and sakura blushing* all before the movie came out, and yet then the spoils of narusaku happened after them xD it wasn't just speculations, they actually seemed like pairing moments, they were just like the narusaku moments and how spoiled they were, you could hear what was said and everything, don't forget the weren't just regular trailers, there were trailers of actual scenes from the movie, that's what I meant by massive spoilers in road to ninja, the movie was spoiled to death..

 

and considering that movie was made to not fit in the manga timeline and everyone except naruto and sakura was an alternate version of themselves and they were teased with the supposed ss nh stuff to hook them into it even though they weren't big on the plot, whereas this movie's plot probably isn't like that since it is supposedly canon and ends the manga and everyone is older, I highly doubt any pairing will be teased if at all if it happens unless it is in fact the ones that come to pass.

Lol but Naruto didn't look too happy and Sasuke was just a player so.. plus this was a movie set in an AU. The fact Naruto and Sakura were there together the whole time was enough for me XD

 I was the same, but even when the movie was first revealed I wanted to watch it, I wanted to rofl at the au characters xD not true, for a long while the playboy aspect was not revealed, it in fact wasn't revealed until near the end of the wait for the movie, the Narusaku scenes were the same. the SS NH fans were super trolled, everyone thought they were canon at first xD I'm talking the fact we didn't know naruto and sakura were together the whole time, we didn't even know the plot yet, most was spoiled near the movie's release xD

"Sasuke" could be as well a cruel parody of the ideal Sasuke many SS shippers envision in their heads (a handsome boy who is a master at romance). "Hinata" is also a caricature of fans' fantasy in which the canon character turns to be violently possessive. Tsukuyomi should be the the reflection of one's desires. "Sasuke" reflected Sakura's (somewhat fangirlish)... but  the origin of "Hinata's" personality is a mystery to me.

actually you're forgetting the oneshot prelude, obito had spied on naruto and everyone to know what naruto desired, and made what he "thought" naruto desired into an AU world, he got the parents right but everything else he got super wrong xD and sasuke I suspect was both that and sakura's thought desire, all the others though I'm pretty sure were part of obito mistaking their personalites, for example people called neji and lee perverts therefore he turned them into actual perverts xD

Looks that way but let's not go too deep on it. The chance is there but yeah, we don't know. We know it's an official Twitter, but how accurate are those words. If all true, NS is canon in that timeline. Don't think it becomes canon in the movie, perhaps the showcase of already canon couple display.
