besides love we need a good topic and new chaptes . i mean last chapter of the year 2012. and some ns moments . and i like sasuhina. nejihina is good. but slialings. so it would be a little odd. and great post jade rabbit. really cool.

I'm not really fond of SasuHina, I used to be but now it's like KibaHina for me....

Neji and Hinata aren't siblings - not even half-sibs. They're cousins. Sure, in our world they would be half-siblings but the manga itself cleared that up when Naruto thought "Siblings???!!!", Kakashi says "They are from the same clan, the Hyuuga - but they aren't siblings". Then after much conversation, Kakashi leaves it as them being of the same family/clan until Sakura says "So they're cousins then?" and Lee confirms it.

In our world they are half-siblings but in Naruto they are cousins. (Also, Hinata calling Neji, Neji-niisan is merely a a sign of respect because he's older than her and stronger as well as calling him an equal like with him calling her Hinata-sama.) So yeah, the manga confirms they are cousins - just cousins.

But either way it is incest but the Japanese along with a lot more cultures really don't seem to mind. It's not super common or anything but it happens and no one really goes "Ew!".

I think thats why. NaruHina is very popular couple in western couples but in Japan it isn't. The NaruHina fan base think that Japan's favourite pairing is NaruHina when in fact the most popular pairing is Kakashi x Iruka. NaruSaku is in fact more popular than NaruHina in Japan.

I guess popularity is a way to supply themselves comfort. But yeah, they've gotta face the facts if they want to assert that. NaruHina is so far down on the list that's it's nowhere near a threat (if you base it on Japanese fandom), not to NaruSaku - not even that much to NejiHina.

I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous.

1. The last time I checked, NaruSaku was twice as popular as NaruHina in Japan.

Ikr? Where are they getting this stuff from?

3. The one-shot cover doesn't show me anything either, because again, it didn't portray NH or SS in a good way. Naruto clearly wants to get away from AU Hinata - there's zero attraction on his part there despite the fact that she is literally grinding her boob into his arm. Sakura being all cow-eyed and gushing over AU Sasuke would appear pro-SS at first glance, but then what does that say about the sincerity of Sakura's love for Sasuke (since this AU Sasuke acts completely differently) and we all know how it turned out in the movie (regarding the sincerity of Sasuke's feeling for Sakura).

It didn't look good for NH especially. Naruto CLEARLY looks uncomfortable with Hinata all over him - you could even stress that he isn't comfortable with her that much period. He may value her friendship but whenever things involve Hinata, it's always awkward for him. I guess it's like SasuSaku (Part 1 wise) in regards to Sasuke knowing Sakura's feelings but he didn't feel the same so he never treated her any better than one would a friend.

4. The content of the movie trumps the content of the trailers, and there's no debating that the movie did not portray NH and SS in any sort of positive light;

Hinata was jealous of Sakura's relationship with Naruto practically the entire time, scared Naruto off, and Naruto showed zero interest in her (not even Menma was shown to have any interest in her, given Minato and Kushina's question/teasing about Menma's/Naruto's feelings for Sakura).

Sakura acted like a fan girl again, blushing and and making cow eyes over this person that looks like Sasuke, but acts nothing like him. If it was meant to be portrayed as serious love on her part, I would have thought her reaction to Sasuke would have been more like Naruto's reaction to his parents - you know, happiness to the point of almost crying? And then Sasuke shows that even in this AU world, he feels nothing more for Sakura romantically than any of his other fan girls, and Sakura is over it soon enough, focusing then on Naruto and her absent parents.

If anything, this sounds like foreshadowing for the end of the manga. Hinata chasing after Naruto and wanting to be with him but Naruto expressing no interest and instead taking care of his own business with Sakura by his side as his partner (both romantically and platonically). Naruto treats Sakura with respect and expresses his care for her no matter what. She's like his wife without the title - literally.

As for Sakura, the movie seems to do the same for her with Sasuke. Eventually she's going to have to realize that Sasuke doesn't care for her romantically and that she feels a stronger connection with Naruto and is going to decide to stop chasing a romance with Sasuke and instead be there for Naruto - stay by his side - and fight with him.

Though I do believe they are going to fight together to stop Sasuke at the end.

5. The 2 NS comments chosen for the movie, and the lack of any other pairing related comments, also goes to show this movie wasn't about NH or SS at all.

If Kishi was gunning for NH and SS just because they were popular, then logically, he would have made the movie focus on those two relationships after the family bonds, not Naruto and Sakura's (or, conversely, he could have simply left out the romantic hints with NaruSaku - but he didn't).

Exactly. Kishi obviously is pro-NS (and SasuNaru but that's besides the point lol ) so why should we keep trying to convince everyone. We know this and we don't even have to try so hard to prove why NS is most likely the end result.

As for the rest of the arguments regarding the manga, I continue to stand by that NaruSaku has the most support to be canon in the manga overall. Could Kishi change his mind and make NH or SS canon? Of course, its his story and he can do whatever he wants. Does NH have a lot of focus recently? Yes. But again, that doesn't make it the strongest contender when considering all of the evidence in the manga overall. Don't miss the forest for the trees.

NH is certainly possible, as is SS, but the pairings are far from cemented as of yet, and the pairing wars are far from over. Unless someone honestly thinks Kishi is just going to brush Naruto's feelings for Sakura under the rug and forget about them completely and have Naruto fall for Hinata off panel, to be covered in flashbacks?

I think Kishi's about to milk NH for all it has so he can keep the readers but soon the chapters will begin to strongly point towards NS again.

I'm not even worried for these two. I could be wrong and if I am then okay that's just the way it is sometimes but I truly believe that NS is the end result. A TON of people do. Hell, I've seen so many SasuNaru AND SasuSaku fans agree that NaruSaku is end result. They see it apparently and while most of the SS fans I've run into HATE to admit it, they see it. SasuNaru fans are a lot more accepting which shocked me I've even seen them defend NaruSaku from NaruHina fans!

As for the rest of your post I agree completely, anything IS possible but I'm not ready to give up on NS as canon yet, not when there is so much development through out the whole manga.

I think he will not because there's no time for a buildup, naruto already said that he loves sakura the chance to say that he didnt love her anymore already passed, when sai asked him if he really loves sakura.

There no reason for him to milk NH after the war arc because it's the last arc, everyone will keep up with this arc because it's the last one.
There's no marketing for it even people who stopped reading bleach, started reading bleach again because it's the last arc.

That may be so but every time he does ANYTHING NH related, it seems to be just because he wants to build up the tension, then crash everything with an NS moment.

To be honest, I can't wait for that to happen, I mean, I am waiting for so much time for something Sakura/NS to happen.
Not to mention about her development as a character when it comes to the "neo-sannin" thing.
I mean, is Kishi really going to leave things like that? I find it a bit hard to believe...
As for NS this tension is somehow killing me since those little NaruHina (more Hina moments actually).
I know I am being pessimistic and everything, I am aware that NS has the biggest development and everything, it's just that Kishi isn't that type to put things here and there.

I dont know if it's a time ago but the things is, did i remember of a chapter when naruto says how he fall in love with sakura, i dont know if i saw this in the anime or on the manga, i remember that he see other kids mocking sakura because of her big forehead and he felt some kind of empathy.

That might've been in the anime.
In the manga he says that because she is the same as him, looking for acknowledgement as she says that she was looking for Sasuke's acknlowledgement and Naruto was getting in the way.

it sounds stupid, he falling in love with sakura just because she wanted to have her love acknowledge by sasuke.
because ino wanted to be acknowledge by sasuke too, and a lot of other girls there had to be something special that made him fell in love with sakura

but like i said a lot of girls were seeking sasuke's acknowledgement too so i do think there was something really special that made him fall in love with her and he will tell this later or on his confession.

Looking back, Sakura and Sasuke are at their 8 years old look. Then, his friends (K9) are in their 12/13 years old look. It may be looking too much, granted, but I don't know. What if he did make a contact with 8 years old Sakura long time ago? It's a possibility, but time will tell. Only first half, pretty much the part where everyone stared at him. The anime added her being there. My point is that she remembers that, so anime seems like it suggested that she was there as we all think so too.
