You misunderstood. I meant the handkerchief of Serena that she gave to him. Don't remember which episode, but I saw a scene of it. Not the same one of Misty's.

no, you misunderstood, I'm not saying its misty's, I'm saying it wouldn't be like that moment with ash and misty because its not serena's hankerchief, its ash's which he bandaged her knee with years ago, so it wouldn't be able to have the same romantic gesture as the hankerchief of misty's xD

one problem with that, the hankerchief romantic thing in japan only is for a girl giving a guy a hankerchief, not the other way around, so why you guys are trying to compare that to the ash and misty hankerchief scene is beyond me....

Uh dude, I'm not comparing that to the Ash Misty handkerchief scene at all. Both are their own things.

 

Ash giving Serena his handkerchief as a romantic gesture is in the context that he first met her when she hurt her knee and used that handkerchief as a bandage. It's not that Serena giving giving Ash a handkerchief or the other way around is supposed to be a romantic gesture in it self, but that the handkerchief has a significant meaning to both of them.

you are acting like ash giving her the hankerchief is romantic like it was for misty giving ash the hankerchief, it isn't, in japan its only romantic if its a girl giving the guy the hankerchief, not the other way around, thanks for twisting my words around and missing my point....

 

my point is, with the ash and misty scene it can be seen as romantic because it is a girl giving him a hankerchief with romantic feelings behind it, with the ash and serena scene its a completely different thing that is not supposed to be a romantic gesture but you guys keep acting like it is.

because ash as a kid totally understood what love is and totally had feelings for serena when ash was always dense when girls had feelings for him and still is 'rolls eyes'.

just because serena has a crush on him doesn't mean every scene between them has to be seen as romantic or should be, I am even anticipating serena being left behind either being rejected or not confessing.

there has not been a single romantic undertone in any moment between them of the entire xy and xyz series, ash and misty had more romantic undertones with their scenes than anything in this series, but again I already know you guys are going to act like its dub changes even though I already gave you a link before with proof of otherwise.

 

so I will ask one last time, quit talking shipping here, make a pokemon shipping thread so I don't have to hear any more ashxserena mess...

I know it's kinda awkward seeing tons of pics about a NOTP (I'm Pokeshipper as well), but it's unfair to forbid people to create theories/share their thoughts. In the end, we all know there will be no canon couples in Pokémon, so at least we should enjoy our headcanons.

I'm not trying to forbid them, I'm saying to make a shipping thread so no more shipping "debates" will happen here, I am sick of talking about shipping here when this isn't a shipping thread, its an official pokemon thread, I mean we have a naruto general discussion thread and its not overrun with shipping talk, but when it comes to this thread it's always about ashxserena, and I am getting tired of it. especially after that user who said anyone that didn't think ashxserena is a big thing in the anime "watched selectively", if they're gonna be like that to non shippers here when anything relating to the anime pops up then they need to take it somewhere else.

and no I'm not a pokeshipper, but that doesn't mean I'm blind to how big the ashxmisty stuff was in the anime or will make excuses saying it was all in the 4kids dub and not in the japanese version, and I'm not gonna blow things out of proportion and get attached to some pairing, I am gonna be neutral and support the one that actually has ash return their feelings(which so far the only one to ever come close was ashxmisty, but they'll deny that) instead of being a dense idiot like always.

Okay, 3 things

 

1) I'm not twisting your words, you are twisting mine. I am saying Ash giving Serena his handkerchief (should it happen) is NOT romantic in the Japanese tradition of a girl giving a boy a handkerchief. It is BECAUSE they first met in a summer camp when they were younger, Serena scraped her knee and Ash wrapped a blue handkerchief around it. So that Handkerchief symbolizes their first meeting. I repeat, I am NOT saying Ash is giving a random Handkerchief to Serena and it is supposed to be taken as romantic, he is giving the same handkerchief the he tied to Serena's knee a that camp and she returned to him because that is how they first met. And no, I am not making that up. Watch episode 7 of XY if you're not convinced

 

2) You're acting like you're not a pokeshipper, but see Ash and Misty as the most likely pairing. However your behaviour says otherwise. You're saying Ash and Misty is the only pairing to conceivably happen but are dismissing all others pairings and acting like casually talking about Ash X Serena, Ash X May, etc is attacking Ash X Misty and we are saying that those moments are more romantic than Ash X Misty. You are not  forbidding us from talking about other Ash ships? Well you are acting like we're not welcome talk about other ships that are Not Ash X Misty, plus you are saying we need to talk about Pokemon shipping in a debate thread when there is no debate. We are not saying which pairing MUST happen, we are simply stating that we like a pairing and hope something comes out of it., plus may I say you said you prefer Ash X Misty, plus are dismissing all the other girls he's paired up with as "not gonna happen" in the first place. is that NOT Debating? Plus, that also brings up my last point.

 

3) You think it's only you that see the so called romantic moments between Ash and Misty? You think that I don't remember Ash seeing Misty in a yukata and blushing, or the blimp scene where Team Rocket was teasing them as "love birds", or How emotional they were when they said goodbye? I Remember ALL of those moments because I DO Ship Ash and Misty. Why am I not talking about Ash X Misty then? Well is Misty on screen in the Anime right now? I am simply talking about amourshipping because Serena is the only female companion around Ash's age right now and as you already know she does have feelings for Ash. I just simply like all Ships Ashis mpaired up in because They all have some form of validity towrads them and I accept them because I don't imagine the studio making an official couple anyway. I love Pokeshipping, but I see no reason to JUST dwell on Pokeshipping because there are other ships I love and Pokeshiping about more or less 14 years old right now, plus We haven't seen Misty since her temporary appearances in the Advanced episodes

 

In short If you love Pokehipping, that's good. But I see no reason to act anyone that Doesn't say Ash and Misty is the only potential pairing is doing something wrong because that is not being neutral. And no I'm not twisting your words, you are acting like we don't have a right to say what other pairings we like and showing appreciation for those pairings, plus saying we only do that in a debate thread when We're not even saying which pair is better. If you say I'm making this up and putting words in your mouth, I'm quoting what you are saying, "quit talking shipping here, make a pokemon shipping thread so I don't have to hear any more ashxserena mess..."
