I'm actually writing an analysis post about what transpired between Sasuke and Sakura, as well as Kakashi's reaction and how this ties into what has previously happened in the manga. Anyone interested in me posting it on here? It might lift some spirits in the process! ;)

You guys are nuts! How can you celebrate this supposed death of SS when he tried to kill her twice before and she didn't stop fangirling when he came back in 632? You STILL think Sasuke will be the deciding factor in SS?! Why would you even want that? It would only make a possible NS ending after her being rejected look superficial.

 

Furthermore, Sakura was incredibly pathetic this chapter. Almost to a new degree. She resorted to begging Sasuke, teary-eyed, all the while sobbing about how pathetic she is... And this is supposed to be the lead female! How can you hate anyone who bashes the character after this?!?! How can you, as a fan of the character, not be absolutely insulted by this portrayal?! It's become quite apparent that Kishi is aware of the hate Sakura gets and has responded by having the character be an apologetic mess as opposed to trying to change that himself. It's almost like I'm watching the post-traumatic effects of NTR! And all to ensure Sasuke has a devoted woman to love him unconditionally after all his kitten! Speaking of, Naruto's tolerance of Sasuke's crap has been grating on my last nerve! After abandoning his duties to go live with a criminal, resisting aprehension, joining Akatsuki, attacking the Kage summit and attemtping to kill his former friends, Naruto is still there preaching his pretentious nonsense in an attempt to give the undeserving Sasuke a good life.

 

When was the last time NS had something good to celebrate about? How many months? Chapter after chapter, Sakura humiliates herself in front of Sasuke and you guys play the waiting game in hopes it will be pay off in the end. Well has it? Sakura's character has gotten so sloppy that even Sakura fans are pissed at her! If you think this character's gonna bounce back you obviously haven't been paying attention. It's like watching an injured puppy. I don't understand how you can all remain so loyal to Kishimoto's kitten handling of Sakura's character! The girl has not caught a single break. The Sakura hate was bad enough before, but now? Sakura fans be prepared to see nothing but kittens wherever her name is mentioned.

It seems to me I think Naruto was probably right when he said Sakura was lying about not loving Sasuke anymore well it did show that she still loves Sasuke.

 

Yes, but she was telling the truth about loving Naruto; she was genuinely blushing and smiling whenever talking about her feelings for Naruto. She was lying about her reasons for approaching Naruto, as well as her feelings for Sasuke, as evidenced by her fake smile during only those comments.

Another controversial chapter means we need the raw.

Exactly we do need the raw. From what grammatically and past, present, future tense makes sense Sakura was in General referring to wtf happened throughout the years. Th mangapanda translation seems fair, then we have the mangastream translation which just point blank used "I still love you"

I have a bad feeling. Oh well. kitten it. What ever is accurate is gonna eventually unfold and be told through the story towards the end. My only issue is that it takes way from sakuras growth.

I don't know anymore. This chapter could be dangerous like it could not be. And to be honest, I don't really care about that manga anymore. I just want to see its end. Sakura still loves Sasuke. We knew it was a real and deep love. If people thought it was just a mere crush, it's their own fault for thinking that way. Now it doesn't make SS canon. Naruto is still there, still loves Sakura, and Sasuke still doesn't care about Sakura. We're back to square one. 

 

Now, I'm not gonna read all the comments before mine because I don't want to see a wave of depression over nothing more than a manga that is still not finished, and over a chapter that could lead to anything.

I'm sorry...I am totally and utterly confused by the word play in this one....

Sakura says "I still loved you" which is past tense, but she talks in present tense about being together if she he comes back. This reminds me of the Sasuke leaving scene all over again where Sakura confesses and Sasuke ends up knocking her out and saying 'thank you.' Instead, he just knocks her out and calls her annoying and saying he has no interest in her. The chapter itself even once again tries to go back to said scene.

This time Sasuke literally states "I have no interest in her at all." Once again, a huge rejection that that finally bruns the remains of SS for good. It was already dead and buried, but now the even the ashes have been burned.

I was in discussion with another member here about it and I find myself pondering what Kishi's game is. I am kind of...I don't want to have a real opinion at the moment. To me, things are still status quo, but maybe I am just tired of the drama and the pairing wars in general. People jumping ship because of this because apparently Sakura is still in love with Sasuke? Come on, SS cannot happen at all. Sasuke does NOT love Sakura at all. No matter how she might love or does love him, he cannot reciprocate those feelings and to all of a sudden say that he would after this fight with Naruto is utterly ridiculous and bad writing. Naruto is also still in love with Sakura and is not in love with Hinata. This chapter proved nothing, but restated everything again on the status of the group.

I'm...I don't know what to say. At this point alot people are abandoning ship, some others are calling Sakura useless and weak again, and I am still sighing and holding my head. We have reached a pinnacle point where words mean nothing anymore and now people just have to enjoy the ride.

We are very insecure fandom.

 

Insecurity is the word of the day whenever Sakura is involved. I didn't feel threatened by this chapter at all. This is the climactic finish of Naruto and Sasuke's personal war for Shippuden. I was expecting some knee-jerking tears and rage. Her dream for a reconstituted Team 7 with a newly reformed Sasuke who is considerate of the people that care for him is crumbling all around her. She already had to go through all of that once, this is simply that disillusionment rebounding on her. Tricksie is right. It's like a reset button has been hit and the Sasuke Retrieval arc is repeating itself all over again. The only difference is that we're skipping straight to the final showdown with Sasuke without any fights tacked on to give either side's allies something to do.
