The infinite Tsukuyomi would be based on what each character desires so in Naruto's perspective, his genjutsu would consist of him being Hokage, his parents being alive, etcetra. Hinata's genjutsu would probably have her with respect from her father/clan, more confidence, and etcetra. The RTN theme is coming soon, no doubt. Fortunately, I think the only thing that will negatively affect anyone in regards to love is Sakura because Sasuke was a player in the alternate universe. 
 
And you know how that turned out, right?
 
Sasuke was flirting with other girls in the village and she immediately wanted to go home after that. With Naruto, however, it was the fact that his parents didn't believe in him that drove him home. The NH fans or SS fans can't expect anything really because the only relationship really affected negatively was the SS one. NH didn't even have a chance because Naruto still wasn't interested in Hinata even when she was a bit more bold. 
 
What could they possibly hope for? 

Well time will tell. First off, we need to see if they so go there or they can escape from it.

The whole saying of "Naruto's dream had become her own" it diminishes the other characters who also support it, she's not special on this matter.

I'll stick with Pepsi, i dont see it as meaningfull now that Kishimoto put other characters into this like Shikamaru as an example.

 

It's to further drill in the parallel between MK and NS, as Kushina was a prime supporter of Minato's dream, according to both him and Itachi.  I think no one's trying to say that Sakura cares for Naruto's dream more than others, because that's something that can't be measured.

On the other hand, Sakura was able to understand Naruto a lot more because of the alternate world. There were times where she felt lonely and she asked herself, "Is this what Naruto was feeling like?" This was definitely a plus for NS. 

 

What could they possibly hope for? 

 

From what I hear about the movie, Kishimoto obviously was channeling Naruto and Sakura's characters from their base in Part 1, especially Sakura.  I haven't seen it yet.  I'm still behind on the movies and anime episodes.

Ok this is bit off topic but where the Feck is Tenten? She's taken the two most powerful non human weapons the Allied forces have (the human weapons being Naruto and Sasuke) and run off with them...I bet that weapon would come in real handy right about now...it should be easy to seal Madara away, the guy likes to brad so much he'd probably get himself sealed without even realising it. 

 

I've been thinking about the genjutsu and I wonder if we'll really get to what see anyone apart from Naruto's genjutsu world. So we could see a world where there is no war, the jinchurikis are seen as heroes and not hated, we could see Jiraiya alive and happy with Tsunade, We could see Team Minato still together, his parents still alive, same with the Uchiha. And the next two that could upset a few people here, Sasuke as Hokage and Sakura with Sasuke.

 

Now before someone jumps down my thoat let me explain, From what I can gather the Genjutsu is about showing you what you desire, and what Naruto desires the most is world peace and happiness of others, so if in his mind Sasuke being Hokage is what he needs to be happy and for Sakura to be happy Sasuke has to love her...then that is what he might see. Naruto is not like other people, his desire to see those around him happy might exceed his desire to be happy himself, because he is selfless enough to put others above him, even in a Genjutsu, and as far as he knows Sakura still loves Sasuke, so for him naturally would mean for Sakura to be happy she would be with Sasuke...he doesn't know what the current Sakura thinks. It wouldn't mean that he doesn't love her but that he loves her enough that he wants her to be happy no matter what even if it's not with him. If fact it might be completely opposite to what Sakura feels and in her dream she could find herself married to Naruto and have two children and be happy, and we might not see this until right at the end when it comes time to confess.

 

Ofcourse that is just a theory, Kishi will likely not go so complex with his daydream, we'll likely see a whole bunch of people back from death, everyone happy Naruto getting voted Hokage and leaving the pairings open for anyone to translate. Part of me does want to see my original idea even if it would cause so much conflict because I think it would go a long way to show people why Naruto is the child of Prophesy

You know, I somewhat find it hard to believe that we would see Sasuke's dream, unless this is the moment to expose him. However, that is if this genjutsu truly works the way of living under one dream, which seems to be the case in here. So if it works under one dream scenario, unless Kishi wants to expose the important piece of Sasuke, I can't help but don't see it happening. We know he wants to be Hokage, or at least the way he said it, but we don't know what for and what is his true intentions. Why such a secret? In fact, if it's about desires, then wouldn't that mean Naruto will disappear? Naruto is whom he wants dead, let alone by his own hands.

 

Now, if it works in individuals, then I can see somewhat skipping Sasuke's dream or being very vague about it. Again, unless Kishi wants to expose the twist here. We have been building up this for a while and it would seem like whatever it is, it's not going to be good. The evidences are killing Bijuus, Naruto, which is already a huge no-no, and more. Let's not forget he has no desire to listen to anyone nor care. What is his game? I have no idea.

 

So, are we going to this dream world? I don't know and no, I'm not not saying it because of my "mojo" as firefox or narusaku256 would say. Lol. It is considered game over, let alone a new fruit will be born. So I don't know what's going to happen. We can get to see it or something else happens. I guess the fun and maybe scary for some, comes next week.

In terms of ability of insight, Kakashi said it was better.  Also, the link between Byakugan and Shraringan was always meant to be taken as a myth, and not as actual fact.

Ok fine but it still doesn't change the fact that people believe the Byakugan is superior to the Sharingan or that will somehow surpass the Sharingan with maybe the golden Byakugan. God knows how that's possible.

Man I was really excited to see Sakura unleash her Byakugou. I wanted to see her fully committed to the fight alongside Naruto and Sasuke and not straining to the sideline. Sadly that's how it looked at the end of the chapter again. If we want to remember Sakura as the heroine of Naruto then I'd like to see from Kishi a well put together spotlight truly dedicated to Sakura that highlights her badassery, her important contribution to the war and story and its not too much to ask then at least give her dedicated spotlight for at least a few chapters. God knows its well overdue and is desperately needed for her characters at this point in time. Even Gai got his moment in the spotlight.

 

Sakura needs this as she really needs to prove herself worthy of being heroine independently of others assistance (mainly Naruto and Sasuke and Kakashi). There doesn't seem like there's much time and space left for too much dedication for certain characters left. If Kishi says he's gonna finish Naruto soon then Sakura needs some development now!! I'm getting scared thinking we won't see any. I already now she's extremely helpful as she's already healed the majority of the ninja Alliance and the many citizens of Konoha but somehow that doesn't stop people feeling like she's not helpful and can do more. And she probably can given her setup that her mentor and master was Tsunade.

 

And if doesn't come to this. Granted I can really only expect to see half of what I wanted from her given that maybe its all wishful thinking but then maybe will be asked? Who was the actual heroine of Naruto? I'm not saying what she did was not pointless and she did help and I do think she has the greatest contribution of any female character in Naruto. Kishi has buffed Naruto and Sasuke to the point of being demi Gods and Sakura is on the same team of them. People will make the comparison and know the bar isn't level. I'd just like to see Sakura in the end truly capable of holding her own with Naruto and Sasuke. Then we can say Kishi did make a strong female leading character and isn't so totally fixated on the male leads.

Seems like way too many people are trying to play it safe and not be happy about all the cool stuff Sakura did this chapter...I know, I know, some people are going to try and ruin the fun for us, but guys....try not to get too worked up about it.

I skipped a lot of what some people were saying, you guys type way too fast! XD

Anyway, does anyone else think it's king of interesting the way this is playing out? This whole, team 7 fight together (again )it's ...interesting how alike it is to the first time they had this whole team 7 together again moment....even to the point of having Sakura have her moment first....

Now, is it just me, or does this seem to be on pupose?

What if, they suddenly realize that they can't tell if they are dreaming NOW...or if it started a ways back?

And who will be the best at getting out? Most would say Sasuke, but I have a feeling that Sakura is going to play a larger role for now on.

Basically, this whole set-up just seems so...déjà vu.

Well, that's a relief.  I'm interested to see what happens with him.. will he give Kakashi both of his Sharingan this time? I think that would be fitting, as a final true parting gift before he finally goes to be with Rin. Perhaps Sakura will transfer them this time in Rin's place.

You know, it's a bit interesting that Naruto is the one to react to Obito's presence. I don't know why but that's interesting. It feels like when Obito wakes up, they will talk again, as well as Kakashi. But I do wonder what's going to be for Naruto.

I can't see it being a unified dream, that would mean there would need to be a system in place that would bend the individuals memories to conform to the standard world the Gejutsu wants to create, because everyone had different needs and wants, some one will want world peace and harmony where some people just want to watch the world burn. For one person the world would be a better place without specimen A in it, for someone else the world not be worst place without that person living in it.

 

For the Genjutsu to be one shared giant dream it would need to meet the needs of everyone to keep them all happy and not look at ways to escape, I don't see that happenning, not until they are all linked to that giiant tree. You know it's really hard to come up with a argument without thinking about Matrix, because it actually makes sense you can't give the person their ideal world because the human mind will eventually rebel against a perfect eutopia, we need the faults to help our mind grow and live our daily lives.

 

So I cant see everyone being in the same world, for one thing they'd all wake up notice they were in a dream world, unite and somehow collectively escape. What I expect is Naruto only being shown, he starts to drift into this perfect world, but the subconcience of the nine tailed beasts will manage to reach him and remind him of his actual dream, and once Naruto is awake he'll manage to wake everyone else up by connecting with them using Kurama's Chakra and disrupting their chakra flow to wake them up.

Will Kishimoto really pull a RTN in this manga? I thought he said most of that movie was fitting in things he couldn't do in the manga. If so, I doubt Naruto and Sasuke would be put under it. Not just because they're demi-gods basically but I'm not sure what's the point. Naruto's already learned quite a bit instead of needing a wake-up call. Sasuke's still a screw-up, but he's supposed to be a screw-up until Naruto can fix him again. He shouldn't grow up yet and he's not because that's doesn't follow the foreshadowing.

 

Sakura, however, ... I see much potential in her being put in a genjutsu like this. Sakura desperately needs to get that last hurdle in her feelings for Sasuke and her feelings for Naruto. If she gets put in a perfect world with Sasuke returning her "feelings" only to realize it's not really what she wants when something with Naruto comes into play there, it's a nice closure.  It should be caused by conscious desires, leading to that "realization" moment. If this chapter confirmed anything for me, it's that Sakura still cares way too much about what Sasuke thinks or does and probably still believes she loves him. She needs to open her eyes and if Madara's genjutsu causes that, then so be it.

 

I still have absolutely no idea how Kishi will make Sakura realize her love for Naruto though. He skipped a golden opportunity of the wake-up scene after Naruto nearly died and one could only wonder why. I'm pretty convinced now Kishimoto's reason for that had nothing to do with paralleling Sasuke to Naruto and everything to do with him wanting to be more "original" for NS. Realizing your love for someone after they nearly die or do die is an overused trope and cliché so I'm guessing Kishimoto wants to try something different for NaruSaku's canon confirmation. Still don't know how he'll do it realistically, but whatever I guess.

 

Sort of random, but was anyone else surprised at how fast Naruto ripped that rod out of Sakura?  Pulling something out of her body like that had to hurt like hell and Naruto's usually not one for rough handling with Sakura lol.

^Knowingly or unknowingly @harry4e you made an interesting point here. Naruto had previously shared Kurama's chakra with everyone. Now if he manages to rekindle that again and if that happens, no one will actually enter the genjutsu world because the one who carries the Tailed Beast chakra is immune to genjutsu however strong it may seem. That's an easier path to follow for Kishi than to show everyone's dreams and then make them hop out of it.

On another note, I sometimes feel that the whole of next volume will be dedicated to their dreams XD
