Naruto and Sasuke head off to battle. Meanwhile, Hinata and ground/rock are still having a make out session.

Naruto vs Sasuke ends. Naruto and Sasuke come back alive. They rejoin with their respective better halves.

And then Hinata snaps out of her make out session and comes to Naruto
Hinata: Don't worry Naruto kun I am coming.

Reaches Naruto.

Hinata: Finally there! Naruto kun I wanted to wish you luck for your battle with Sasuke kun and that I....

Naruto: Eh! Hinata, we already battled it out while you were making up with the ground. But oh well, meet the girl of my dreams, Sakura chan! Are you happy Hinata?

Shocked! Astonished! Flabbergasted! She Returns back to the place she fell and continues to have a make out session with the rock! Naruto and Sakura and Sasuke and Karin get married and in the meanwhile, Hinata is obessesed with the rock and fangirls over it! XD. The end!

It's possible. Maybe it's not the right time. Maybe because it's not a sendoff. What I mean is something that will say, "Hey, good luck. We won't meet until the end." Kind of like what Gaara pulled in the last chapter. To me, that's saying, "Good luck. Come back alive."

Since the fight will most likely be because Naruto will end up being chosen for hokage and not Sasuke, and Naruto will probably not get the position until he's 20

Hinata was always related to Neji/Naruto.
Neji is gone, so she doesn't have a role anymore towards Naruto.
 
While Sakura and Karin will play a major role into Sasuke VS Naruto fight. Because they are releated to Naruto and Sasuke.
 
- Sakura (team 7 and love Sasuke, cares about Naruto's dream)
- Karin (loves Sasuke and seems to be related to Kushina with the same power and the same clan)
 
Hinata will appear later probably, but she'll not get a major role, just showing her face like Darui and other characters...

How Sakura will play a major role on Naruto x Sasuke after she was put aside from the topic they are going to fight about?
Hinata tripped as a mere fact to show her limitations not plot wise but she really could not do anything there so it was useless for her to reach Naruto.
But as for Sakura, were she fits in?
She's related to Naruto and Sasuke and Team 7 but K11 are also related to him because they also helped Naruto on this quest, but just by alone doesnt justify, where did Sakura played a role on the whole "Hatred" subplot?
Does she understand about Konoha and what it means to be hokage?
Naruto has a lot of hardships to overcome because Sasuke knows a lot about the village while Naruot dont, what about the mistakes of the previous hokages and even the problem with the dark side of the village.
I would believe that Sakura would play a major role if Kishimoto introduced Sakura into this instead of being just a member of team 7.

Even if she voices up her opinion Sasuke will just destroy it with his fallacy and tells her to GTFO.
