Well I don't want to be here with classes. Just come up here for the internet and the women.

Those horrible times--

--when you really wanna say nasty things to someone, but can't, and shouldn't, and inevitably don't.

But still really want to.

You know, in a way I understand. This kind of things kind of make me almost mute on more social situations, like, it's better to never speak anything, rather then say something and regret later.

Indeed~ Usually I try to either find a gentle way to get my feelings across--if it's something I think should be said that maybe just isn't very pleasant--or, try to just let it go.

But then there are the times where no matter what I do, I want to just let loose and say something downright mean to someone. Doesn't happen often, but when it does I do my best to keep quiet; since it becomes difficult to say anything but the mean thing(s).

I already had too, too many times were I said how I felt about something, only to be yelled at, ridiculed or even laughed at, perhaps I just don't know how to express myself properly, or perhaps I'm just too different to the others, today people complay I'm too quiet, or too emotionless, but I'm sure it's better then get in an argument about every little disagreement.

Or it could be something to do with the people around you. *shrug* I'd guess it's either that, or maybe that you could work a bit on how you express yourself. I know I was pretty much the same as what you're describing, back in high school--eventually I figured it was a combo of me not really having tact when it came to dealing with people, worrying too much about how others would react to what I said, and the people around me being rather judgmental.

I think it also haves to do with the way I see things, culturaly speaking, I would blend much better if I were to live in places such as Europe, Japan or the US. Here in Brazil, we have an very poor culture, in my opinion, people are too short sighted, too carefree, or some times suffer from an more ill education, people my age here mostly care about partying, messing aroung, getting drunk, into trouble or even drugged, I'm more reserved, I like to keep my thoughts to myself, so I just keep on my own. I suppose I'm the kind of person that feels more confortable when I'm alone.

Aaah, got it. You're an introvert in an extroverted society, it sounds like. Not much to do about that, unless everyone around you was suddenly willing to compromise and let you be as you are with no hassle... The most I can offer is to get as comfortable as possible with yourself (all the better if you already are, of course~) so that no one around you can really get to you, y'know?

Too extroverted if you ask me. You know, once while I was studying in university, an woman from my class recieved exchange students in her house, mostly from Europe and North America, and once she brought to our class an french girl that came to learn portuguese. And I was the only one able to talk to her, since she only knew french and english by that time. And she said that she was a little freaked out by the people from our country, she said she thought it was a little weird for people being so friendly all the time, no sense of reservation, as if life is one big party. I agree, sometimes it feels like the people around me have no sense of "dept" in life, you know?

not gonna lie, the culture differences fascinate me

That's...interesting to hear, to be honest; where I'm at in the US, there's a weird sort of emphasis put on being open and upfront about things, while at the same time it's considered mature to be able to be reserved or "dignified". It's almost weird to picture a place that's always boisterous.

But at least you know that you can relate to people from other cultures; that's not something everyone can boast, I guess~ Do you think you'd ever have the opportunity--or inclination--to move to another, more "suitable" country? (not trying to imply anything about brazil, of course; "suitable" for you personally, i guess)

You have NO idea how many times I thought/wished to move to another country, here on Brazil, I feel so out of place, like an alien on another planet or something. It's a little sad to admit that I relate alot more to the folks here at H&E and DA. It's just so much easier to talk, so much more comfortable, I almost feel... at home. Weird, isn't it? But unfortunately, I don't really have the resources to move out from my country, mybe in the future when I have more money, eh?

Not weird, no--most people on here (and possibly dA; it's a bit more diverse there) are from the US/Europe, if I remember right, so you're more "among your kind" here XD

Then here's to your luck and fortune, friend. And if you ever find yourself in California, wander my way; I've got plenty of introverted friends you can talk to~

Learning about different cultures is pretty interesting. I didn't know that about Brazil.
