"The goddess has return" and the "Hinata's hair has more development than Sakura" comments should make it easy to see why they like the last and this gaiden. They don't care about the plot whether it is good or not whether it makes sense or not. They only care about their prefect waifu Hinata is there so they can fantasizes about having sex with her. Also it not the hard to stay fanatically loyal to something when you don't actually have to pay for it.

The real goddess is (was) Sakura. No retcons movies or soap opera spin offs or Hinata-with-Sakura's haircuts can change that.

Yeah, but who's their target audience? the Japanese? ratings for shippuden are still low as kitten, I doubt that they'll help financially keep Naruto going for as long OP.
If their targeting the west, then it's just wasted production as they don't give a kitten about supporting the series financially

I just found it funny, when I learned this.
I was watch that anime Les Miserables Shojo Cosette a few days ago and the dog the girl has is also named chouchou. Apparently chou chou is a common name for dogs in japan.

The rest is good though, has potential. It could also be, for example Naruto going to his family's hidden village who finally resurfaced thanks to a few living uzumaki and uncovering some dark secrets about his extended family or something like that
Naruto and Karin aren't the only uzumaki's left? Also new uchiha?
