On the subject of the assistant's twitter, one of the people if I can remember asked him: "So Sakura is just for Sasuke's use?"

At that point he responded on the grounds of Naruto despite getting a question in regards to Sakura's relationship with Sasuke.  Stating something along the lines of "We haven't really seen Naruto pursue Sakura since Pain."

Translation, like many of the things in and out of the series that we have read can quite often be taken two ways.  The editors response could be that he is pointing out in a way "No, she is for Naruto's use..but we have not just yet really seen him go for her."  Which may be an attempt to imply that we will finally REALLY see Naruto go for her. Or, he could be implying that the main character has stopped really going for her and will not go for her any more.

The latter of the two options seems strange.  Again, he was asked a question in regards to Sasuke and Sakura's relationship, and he instead brings up Naruto and states we haven't really see Naruto pursue Sakura in quite some time.  For some reason people are taking this more as a negative versus the potential positive of us finally really getting to see Naruto go for Sakura.

No he answered the SS question actually. He clarified that 'use' wasn't the best word and that while we know Sakura loves Sasuke to the point of pain, we have yet to know Sasuke's and that his feelings are the crucial part.

It annoys me that in order to make an attempt at Naruto and Hinata development it has to be done in a movie, outside of manga context. Its no better than the crappy fillers from Pierot or something that can be consider an idea for a fan fiction.

Kishi know he can't make NH canon with what happened in manga . Every one will say how Naruto end up with strange girl , just three times talked her in the whole manga hahahahaha .. Naruto and Sai/Tsunade have much developments than NH , Karin has more screen time than her loool
+
Naruto never interact or talk to her like normal conversation unless hyuuga member involved ( Neji fight in part 1 , Neji die and now Henabi kidnapping)
If Naruto has ZERO interest to talk with her how about he will end up with her looooool
This just asspull if nh happen lol

The assistant's twitter account is legit. It is not fake.

Most of you know takL from NF is a trustworthy source. He said without a doubt that that is the real assistant. Several screenshots were taken of the Japanese text before it was deleted and then translated afterwards.

Kishi introduced Kushina, and the multiple direct parallels between her and Sakura, their physical insecurities, the "find one like me comment" after the Pain arc. So I call bull on that one. May be a real assistant, don't believe the content. Doesn't match what Kishi has made since. Manga wise we've seen Naruto make the girlfriend comment, and tell his dad later that chasing the girl like Kushina hasn't gone well yet, but he's still trying very recently. Doesn't sound like he's given up. plus RtN came out after the pain arc came out, which Kishi penned and commanded, and that was a huge Narusaku fest and MinaKushi parallel. Just don't believe the info, regardless of whether the assistant is real.

takL is a closet nh fan. he's reliable though.

I can tell, by some of his posts :hm:
Even if the assistant is real, who would the main love interest actually be? It can't be Hinata, since she hasn't been seen for over 19 chapters. So it could only be Sakura, since she's the only relevant girl that has actually been consistent in appearance.

Agreed. Convenient how this suddenly exists as the series comes to an end. Fake.

It is necessarily fake, but I think it's fair to say it's false.  The guy might be an assistant -- a guy who gets Kishimoto's tea and spends his time shading in the rocks in the landscape scenes or something, but his comments are arguably inaccurate.

in short
the assistant says
he has no idea why naruhina on the trend as hes totally out of the loop about the film
but he thinks its been obvious that narusaku isnt happening. he heard kish say that theres no (specific) 'heroine (note that jp tend to mean a 'main love interest' with this word)' in Naruto and sakura isnt.
he thinks he hasnt seen naruto chasing after sakura since the pain arc. the manga hasnt told anything about narutos (romantic) feelings since then.

Implying that Kishimoto said there's no heroine in the story -- or main love interest -- is in direct contradiction to what Kishimoto has said himself.

Also, Naruto hasn't been chasing Sakura?  No, because he's been fighting a war, for crying out loud.  He's been sharing his chakra with countless other fighters, dislocating his shoulder, dying and being revived by Sakura through cardiac massage and literally breathing life back into his body.

And the manga hasn't covered Naruto's romantic feelings since the Pain arc?  I guess Naruto telling his dad that Sakura was more or less his girlfriend wasn't about his romantic feelings, then?

Sorry, but this guy's tweet(s) may be legitimate, but I have no confidence in his grasp of what's going on.  He admitted he was out of the loop on the movie, and doesn't seem to know much about the manga, either.

What legit sources? Link them. I simply just can't believe that crap. Can you link that interview here again? Also, Takl isn't really 100% reliable.

naruto-3844469.jpg

Why would Kishimoto make this chapter cover directly after 615 if he thought that Sakura wasn't really the heroine?

I love having these as dlc characters on ultimate ninja storm revolution xD

You know, it wouldn't surprise me if Kishi originally intended for Sakura to battle Hidan with Shikamaru and Sai (she was sent as reinforcements, after all). In an interview there was reference to Hidan intending to have a greater amount of exposition before editorial influences made him cut back. That would be in keeping with the constant negligence of certain characters who are deemed not important enough to the central plot to warrant greater screen time such as Tsunade and her having a go at God Realm before Naruto returns.

he wonders how the fans take vol 64.
either way it saddens him to see fans bashing sakura,
or (chara) fans fighting with each other.

The manga hasn't told anything about Naruto's romantic feelings since the Pain arc? It was directly after that arc where they talked about Naruto's feelings in the most enlightening way to the fandom. This assistant must be out of his mind.

Kishi has said that "Sakura" is the heroine in Jump Festa 2010. If anything, he makes Hinata act as a heroine to please the fans and tosses her aside whenever it's Sakura's time to shine.

He also answered this question before we saw the recent chapter. The recent chapter we saw that Sasuke's feelings to Sakura imply family.

I'm not calling his assistant a liar, but he was obviously not giving direct answers.

Exactly especially if he's recalling moments that have happened in the beginning. That was the start of NS. Where realizations were made for Naruto and possibly Sakura even though she doesn't know it was really him that said it. The fact she doesn't know only makes me feel like she has to know.

Exactly this! He introduces Sakura as his love interest from the very start and loved her ever since. Hinata was introduced with the other rookies around the 30's chapters, as an admirer of Naruto's, so if Hinata's feelings could go from admiration to love, then I'm sure Sakura's, who's been present from the very start, could go from hate, to platonic, to romantic, and kishi even hints that she may have romantic feelings for him, as she is confused in the 3rd databook...so imagine the 4th and new databook? how would her feelings go from not being able to stand Naruto...to getting to know him and get closer to him as a best friend...to becoming confused with the way she feels about him...to platonic? These are the things no one really thinks about

and like the professor said that meeko I think posted about, I could see Kishimoto not knowing what to do about Hinata's feelings for Naruto other than giving her a resolution (moving on from him) in the final movie as the new damsel in distress. Think about it...I'm sure Sakura will get resolution with Sasuke...he's never loved her, and I'm quite sure she will notice that..and their relationship will be platonic, since Sasuke is redeemed now, meanwhile...Sakura's resolution on her unfound feelings for Naruto..I'm sure her feelings for him will be realized in the manga, giving them both a resolution together. The only person now needing a resolution on their feelings would be Hinata, related to T7, since she loves Naruto right?

And also like the professor stated...the story is about a boy that works his butt off and never gives up and gets what he wants, while others learn from him.

So it actually is very possible that kishimoto really didn't know how to deal with Hinata's feelings in the manga, and now plans on giving us a story of her moving on from him in the latest movie, making her the final damsel in distress. And I also feel as though this movie will once again be about his friendships and bonds with the other characters as well, he also states at one point in the trailer that he has his friends, and he now knows what it is what he wants to protect: his friends.

The line also says: The last story ends with the beginning of love (or something along those lines) so while the trailer is literally Hinata hyped...what have we seen of Naruto in that trailer? Only one moment where Naruto looks as if he's admiring Hinata (and at some point I noticed his eyes stopped moving), where they try to make the scene seem romantic, and we hear him remind her of a certain time and tell her he has something to tell her and to wait for him (again implying romance between the two). What have we seen of Sakura, the real heroine in that trailer?

Remember those animation sheet poses? Why haven't we seen any of those poses in the trailer animated yet? Why does the trailer only focus on Hinata, and part of the plot with the villain? and only gives us glimpses of some of the characters, or more popular characters in the movie? : Marketing.

Also about that flashback where it looks as though he made Hinata cry..I find it strange that if this movie is about the romance between Naruto and Hinata that they didn't give us any insight on what he said to her, and I'm quite sure it wasn't anything romantic either..so what does he have to tell her? I could imagine him confronting her back then on why she was or kept hiding and watching from afar and then telling her meanly that they would never be friends or something along those lines...maybe even something moving? think about it..also the scene where Sakura looks as though she is consoling Hinata..why haven't we gotten any insight on that either? Maybe because like the flashback...it isn't romantic after all :) She could be giving her advice on her looks for all we know or simply complimenting her or even just consoling her about something. Yet they use the dialogue or scenes that may imply that something romantic will happen between the two.

They also talk about how she couldn't bring herself to give him a red scarf in winter..I looked up gift giving in winter in Japan, and a post said that they give gifts in winter to friends for something for helping them in the past. The only romantic giving they talked about was women giving men chocolates on valentines..

I also think the "unreachable feelings" she's trying to give to Naruto..aka the scarf...might probably be a thank you from her for something past-related...when they say "unreachable feelings"...it's as though she's trying to tell him something..but she already confessed so why would she confess again? It's almost lik a gratitude she's too shy to show..something she regrets not being able to do? (sound familiar?)

Also, I find it ridiculous that in 2 years, NH has yet to happen and Naruto still doesn't love the girl, and is probably still pretty much completely in love with Sakura, yet he falls in love with her in one movie and forgets all those years of loving Sakura...he's supposed to fall for Hinata within a week? nah..

Phew...I guess we could call this my theory eh? lol :th_yeah:

It's probably ridiculous, but meh..I've been thinking a lot about this movie and NH possibly happening and this is what I can conclude from what we've been shown

however, if it still happens, Bull..kitten

The assistant didn't say NH was canon. This is what he said (which imo is equally as bad):

*Warning-- This is upsetting

I'm at a point where I'm just ready to get this over with. I said before that Kishi could go either way and it looks to me like he chose the sh*tty route.

*sigh* here, reposting this comment in case you missed it when someone posted it:

DEAR NS SHIPPERS PLEASE READ.

I was really confused about this NH suddenly happening just as all of you, so as a script/literature student for almost a year, and learning all about foreshadowing, character development, and plot treatment, I decided I should talk to someone who knew more than me.

I exposed this case (about NH in the last movie) to my professor, who has been a successful screen writer for 27 years, and his answer was.
"Well, if you want to get two characters together, you have to put them through a lot of situations, and make them feel everything, both sides, so you can explain why the bond is so strong. You can’t put two characters together which development is so poor, not even if the 3, or 4 moments they have had together are really meaningful. That’s only valid if you are writing a short film cause you don’t have a lot of time, but if the story is as long as you’re telling me, then you have no excuse. You have had plenty of time to put those character through more moments, and make a successful development. If you really intent to make this two characters end up together, then you should have give them more screen time"

the I asked him about the other character (Sakura) what was her case and he answered.

" It means he really didn’t think it through, and he has wasted years of paper and ink developing this relationship for absolutely nothing. Why would you spend so much time developing a relationship if you really didn’t mean it? As a story maker you have to keep in mind that you have to make things clear for the viewers, because if you don’t, things like this happen. It’s like a new trend in marketing to leave a really open plot so the viewers can make their own conclusions, and watch just cause they want to know if they’re right, and they do this without even consulting the writer. That is called comercial script, and it’s ruining the industry, darling. But if in the end you tell me this girl who has been with the main character all the time, and it’s clearly the main female character, is not ending up with him, you’re telling me the writer of this story hasn’t been able to keep his story in line. He practically took a side character out of nowhere, and created a relationship that through the story was not even foreshadow. It’s bad writing"

I explain about Hinata’s love for Naruto.

"And have the main character acknowledge this love?"
I told him about Pein Arc, and her confession. he asked me to see the pages of the manga, and I showed them to him.
"But then this confession was not mention again. When you write about several characters, you have to give each of them a resolution, or else it will  be unfinished. This girls confessions was sudden, and it was not mention again, so in my experience this is just to help the character get its resolution. If to the main character, or to the main plot this confession is supposed to be a game changer, or something important, then it should have been mention again. I can see the main female is there again, and as you can see, or at least what it seems is that the girl is uncomfortable. Sometimes we have to take side characters to do things like this, so main characters can realise their own truth. And it’s use really often. You see a lot of movies about someone who doesn’t realise he or she is in love with their best friend until the best friend is with someone else. So having this confession, and the only person to acknowledge that moment is the other girl, then the confession is only important to those girls. As i told you before, the side character needs its resolution about those feelings, and the main character needs to realise some things that are link to the confession".

I explained that since then, Naruto and Hinata have a couple of moments, and I showed them to him as well.

"Okey, I can see your concern. As stories develop sometimes we create characters that we wish we would have seen more of. But as much as I watched about this character, the conclusion of every interaction they have (naruto and hinata) is the girl thinking the same thing. We never see him thinking about her, or about what she has done. In the case of the other girl (Sakura) we have both of them thinking about each other constantly. In this cases the side character (hinata) will have her own resolution thanks to the impact the main character have had on her, and the other two (sakura and naruto) are more likely to have a resolution together. You can decode this just by who they keep in their thoughts. The main character has been in love with the other girl (sakura) for the whole story, and it is constantly showed. You never get a hint that he is changing his mind, so it would not be logical for him to change his mind in the blink of an eye, and he’s the main character, he gets what he wants. In this kind of stories, he works his ass off, he gets what he wants, and the other characters learn from him"

So I asked him what about the movie and I tell him everything that is going on and he told me.

"Then it means that in the main story the writer couldn’t really find a right way to give this character her resolution, so he created the perfect situation for her to have it. If this story is linked to the main one, then it will has no sense with her ending up with the main character. By the plot of this side story, I can tell that what you will mainly see is the final impact the main character has had on her, and the writer will be able to develop her story successfully, but as I see it, and talking with my own experience, her resolution will not be ending by the side of the main character. She will go through her own personal journey, she will finally give him the scarf as a sign of that chapter of her life ending because she will know new things about herself"
I thanked him, and as I was leaving his office he said to me.

"Remember that stories have to make more sense than real life. So, if you want two people to end up together, you have to constantly show how that bond gets stronger. In stories nothing just happens, so I highly doubt he will love the other girl out of nowhere, not after the writer has spend 15 years invested on the other relationship, it will be kind of crushing. Can you imagine it? Spending so much time with the one you love going through the same things, and suddenly having to forget him because someone else loves you?"
"No, sir"
"Yeah. Keep me updated, you have made me curious"
"Course I will"
So yeah, Im keeping my high hopes, or else I will be pretty disappointed. I don’t want to end up feeling disappointed.

This is the movie thread.  People can and should talk about it all they want here.  The final chapters of the manga can and should be discussed elsewhere.
