LuNa madness!!

So yeah this chapter made my day!! I knew the Homies were going to be helping Nami, but I wasn't sure how since Oda threw a curve ball and made the fight last so long, I thought her opportunity to participate in the fight was lost, but I'm pleased that she was able to help. Now then before I freaking fangirl, I must say that I liked the pacing of the chapter. Things moved along very smoothly, we got to see a little bit of everyone, and things are progressing, so even though next week there's a break I don't feel as deprived. I also really loved Sanji's reasoning behind being a gentleman. I have my two sons and I'm already teaching them how to treat a lady properly, so that whole flashback gave me mommy feels. Also, Bropper and Carrot need to get to beating down Brulee, just saying.

 

 

Now then onto my favorite part of the chapter

 

Not once did Nami falter or show signs of wanting to run away during this fight. I'm not sure how long she's been with Luffy but I'm guessing she's been helping him for at least a good majority of the fight, and that's 11 hours! I think it's safe to say that this is the biggest fight Nami has been a part of, and despite the severe threat, their enemy poses this navigator still had tons of sass and determination. Even Luffy was like "Woman what are you saying?!" when she declared that he could keep going. I know LuNa naysayers will be up in arms about this scene meaning nothing, but for me, LuNa goodness is about their bond, and right here Nami showed unwavering trust in Luffy when even he himself had doubts. She provided not just combat support, but morale boosting confidence too

Also, everyone guessed it right. The reason Oda gave Gear Fourth a name was because it wasn't the only form of the gear Luffy had.

Nami was surprised Luffy could make himself bigger. Why so surprised? She should already know how big he can get, if you know what I mean.

I thought it was Luffy saying Honey as his next attack, but once I saw pretzel and I was like...ohhhh it's Cracker. So do you think Luffy's mega fast metabolism is going to compress all that food he ate once he goes out of Gear 4th?

I thought he would beat him too. Seems like Cracker was just too strong for him. He had help from Nami. Once again, proving Luffy needs a timeskip or to acquire awakening, NOW!

Take away the rain and Luffy loses to Cracker. It took Nami greatly weakening Cracker's ability to fight for Luffy to beat him.

What are you talking about? He broke through Crackers armament with gear 4 at the start of the fight anyway. Luffy doesn't need an awakening or a timeskip.

Just for the record, this series doesn't always rely on my power is greater than yours like Naruto (part 2), Bleach, and DBZ.

He can't stay in gear fourth for 11 hours. Cracker can make his soldiers for 11+ hours. Easy win for Cracker.
