LOL. It looks like our language has something in common.
Mangan in Iloko is also eat. And Aku is the the same as the Filipino version of I which is Ako.

It's rather hard to learn different words everyday. Especially since I have a lot of classmates from other provinces. LOL. I often mixed and jumbled the words.

I guess that's how it explains similarity? Like letters in India that's similar like our hanacaraka (I don't remember its name) and it's similar to Thailand's letters.

LOL. The new generations here are learning the Bahasa language and Chinese Mandarin as their electives in high school.

I don't get why it's translated as "bahasa". Just so you know, "bahasa" is "language" in english. I always translate it in english as "Indonesian language".

But....I was busy and that's why....

I'm not really sure why. It states here in the course outline for the new curriculum that they are going to travh Bahasa and Chinese Mandarin.

And holy crap. Basics of Engineeering in senior high school (╥﹏╥) That is so unfair.

How come the generation now are too advanced. I wanna go back in high school.

And now this thread turn into Asian Language - Similarities, Roots and History tonight ladies and gentlemen 

 

Pretty much our root words, e.g. everyday words have the same origin since we originated from old kingdoms that were closely related to each other. After decades and centuries and things that happen, the language also evolve and expanding
