Right. I'm gonna end this discussion. Ninjutsu was used for assassination, so yes, it is NOT a soft martial art. Karate, literally meaning "the way of the empty hand", is used to strenghten the body and the mind. What you see on TV half the time isn't representing REAL martial arts.
Judo, literally meaning the "soft way" was developed by a man who was often picked on by bullies since he was frail and sickly as a kid. It strengthens the mind and body as well. Kung-fu, or Gong-fu, doesn't mean martial arts. It literally means the merit of human achievement. It is used as a general term nowadays to represent Chinese martial arts, but in the old ways it just meant training. It is not aggressive, since so many sects and places teach it. (Shaolin, anyone? You wanna tell me monks are violent now?)
Jujitsu, meaning "the soft technique" is also a soft technique. It doesn't focus on people hitting other people, but using the opponents energy against them, like Tai-Chi.
I'll repeat it, what you see on TV doesn't even show the true form of these arts. They're just meant to be flashy.

Sorry, Shauna.
