I think that naruto and hinata are getting closer. Plus Hinata shows changes in her personality, and is more open. Maybe she'll start giving bigger clues to Naruto about her feelings.

Idiocy is an incurable disease, don't you know? Worse yet, it's contagious. Sad thing is, if I cared about 'not stooping to their level' or the 'moral high-ground,' I would be offended. Then again, this moron's opinion is obviously based around two or three NaruSaku idiots who lack eloquency and the advanced age of 14 that enjoy stirring up trouble. NaruSaku is an uncommon lot among fans, so a small group such as that would go a great distance toward coloring the reputation of NaruSaku fans everywhere. Blame the Internet, blame humanity, do whatever you please. I choose not to habit the NF forums. The parody NH and SS thread here almost made my eyes bleed and that's not serious. I'd last about five minutes on the other forums before I suffered critical meltdown.

Obviously, the manga shows that breasts are the greatest force for healing, as Tsunade has the largest breasts ever and she's the greatest healer in the world. This makes breasts a powerful force for good and everyone should worship them as the one, true light of righteousness.

For ranting, use your author's notes; I do. God knows nobody cares about those. How many stories have you seen that are more notes than story?

They say were the bad guys since were the pairing that's agaisnt the 2 most worshipped pairing, you know those 2. What's funny is that when 1 side wants his pairing to work, he matches the other 1 with the popular one and tadah, it finished. Other way around on the other pairing does that too.

I think that when someppl ( like aethos ) write some actual argument that may be long, they dont understand it and take it as a thread or something lol

You got that damn right, hehe. My hate of 238 is well known, it was such a let down when its preview trumpted "Naruto leaves Konoha!  Now, one parting!"  I was so pumped for a great, emotional chapter that would show Naruto bidding farewell to his important people, maybe even a NaruSaku scene that would tug at the heartstrings.

Instead, only one of my predictions came true - a last meal at Ichiraku with Iruka!  Most of the chapter wasn't even about Naruto leaving!  Gah!

Still, I like your idea.   We could even see Sakura and Naruto approaching their reunion, they're not completely revealed until we see them together (we only see cropped shots and obscure close ups) - and we have flashbacks from both as it builds up.

Of course, I'm still hopeful we get a nice proper goodbye.  After all, the Inane translation was one parting.  Hopefully that means there will be more.

What I want for Christmas (or whenever we get back to the main story), Kishimoto-sama, is a very touching NaruSaku parting/reunion scene. *in a whiny, pleading tone* Pllleeeaassseee....
I think you're absolutely right!  I was a little worried (well, I'm still certain NaruSaku will happen, but you know what I mean regarding Hinata fanboyism.) that Hinata would be pushed in as Sakura's "rival" and so start another anti-Sakura hate thing from intellectually-challenged fanboys.  But it makes sense that Hinata is just going for another "get stronger" thing, since she STILL hasn't even gone up to Naruto to talk to him.  I hope it is that, hehe.

While a SakuN***H*** would add tension, I would actually prefer a SakuNaru/NaruSaku if only to prevent myself wanting to take a spade to the faces of a certain section of Naruto fandom.

Don't you just love seeing their reasoning?  How they manage to COMPLETELY disregard how the entire damn series has progressed, and base their arguments on other animes/their own experience.

I agree that "opposites attract" is just crap.  Whomever said that should have been shot.  So some genius 12/13 year old thinks he has a handle on love and relationships? *slaps hand to face*

A relationship does not work unless both parties have something in common (S***S*** didn't have anything, and look what happened).  They must be able to get on.  "Birds of a feather flock together" is a better way to put it.  Someone also described love as "friendship on fire".  That is a good way to put it for me.  You can have lust, but real love doesn't really happen until you know the other person and like what you see.

No wonder I don't debate in threads when the fanboys/girls start coming in (thank god the good debaters start early).  You just can't win against sheer ignorance, and you only end up wondering how humanity can still breed idiots after millions of years of evolution.

The most classic line for me was quoted by Aethos.  I don't know who the original poster was, but perhaps it is better that way!

I think they overuse the concept of Opposite Attracts a bit too much, I think that most of the replies i usally as how the couple works are either there SOOO cute together or that. We all know that they will stay with there own pairing until there is proof of utter destruction of the pairing. I say that 181 was one but for some strange and weird reason, they take it as if it was THE scene that pratictly decided the canon pairing umm.. You notice that they say basicly what we say but in the other way? Well either way, arguing with the other side is kinda useless atm since we have to see what the real manga shows us and then we can brag or whatever at the other side lol

That's exactly why I rarely visit debate threads these days, and just like to discuss the meaning of scenes with others in the NaruSaku FC and here.

I have a full head of dark hair, and I plan to keep it that way...

As has already been quoted in this thread, a lot of NaruHina and S***S*** fans disregard scenes in the manga whenever it suits them, whereas we use the ENTIRE manga to support our view.

Ultimately, it is important to remember that whatever happens in the debate threads will NOT influence what happens in the manga. It's not like it's absolutely vital to win every one. People will still join whatever pairing they like most.

After all, if the manga was influenced by the amount of opinion amongst Naruto fans, it would have turned NaruHina and S***S*** long ago. Instead, it is looking very much like it will go NaruSaku!

So, I'm just sitting back and enjoying the story (and wishing I could peek at future Naruto chapters, hehe). Getting into arguments with the fanboys/girls is just a waste of time and just spoils your enjoyment of the manga!

I can't wait for the Gaiden to wrap up and get back to the main story! Don't get me wrong, I really love the Gaiden, but you know I really want to see my #1 pairing again...

This extends to never arguing the existence of God with someone who truly believes or pairing outcomes with S***S***/N***H*** (Because they fit together like puzzle pieces you see.) fanatics. These debate threads of which you speak seem to be verbal brawling zones rather than discussions with arguments.

And you know what Smiter-kun? 238 is starting to really, really irk me as well. Mostly because that seems to be the main ammo N***H***s are using these days, am I am itching, no scratch that, I'm practically dying to see a deftly interwoven flashback-cum-present reintroduction scene come the timeskip, featuring the tenderest scene yet between Naruto and Sakura. I would love to see more or less what I envisioned unfold, and see how the N***H***s and S***S***s argue their way out of that one

But if it turns out Kishi only got Iruka to properly see Naruto off which would be straaange, I think I'll be joining you in that corner with the sulk fest

Oh and on a potentially interesting sidenote: In a recent Sasuke thread on NF Spectrum implied that she felt Sakura wouldn't end up with Sasuke either. I'd always been curious what her take was on Sasuke and Sakura since she's usually mum about pairings, and to hear one of the most intelligent (if not the most!) Sasuke-likers out there doubt the likeliness of S***S*** is ... heartening to say the least

Going gray is another possibility I had considered, but I figured Smiter at least shares my flare for the dramatic exaggeration.

The gaiden is exactly the same plot we've seen in every mission so far, except instead of the name 'Naruto' we have this Obito kid, and Sasuke has become Kakashi. The 'I'm going to get really angry and manifest my Sharingan' is very like when Naruto thought Haku killed Sasuke and Foxed-Out:

Bingo. That's why I rarely visit debate threads these days. My contribution is usually early and short because the early debates can be a delight to partake in - for some reason the zealots do not come in until quite late. I have enjoyed discussion with debaters from other camps such as Arilou, Sakura-chan and Mizura (sp?) from the NaruHina/S***S*** camps. It's always so much more rewarding when the other parties LISTEN to what you say and actually USE the manga for evidence.

I've known about Spectrum's views on S***S*** for a while too. She let slip once (I think she was replying to me, not sure) and said she couldn't see Sasuke settling down with Sakura, partially because they are polar opposites and also because it's just not in his character.

Hehe, I wonder if an Anti-238 FC would be allowed on NarutoForums? XD I'm not surprised the NaruHinas are using that, but it is pretty one-sided just like all of their arguments. Also, the relationship is at pretty much the same level it was at during the Chuunin Arc (Hinata hiding behind poles, Naruto seeing her as a friend).

We only have the hints on both sides and Sakura's changing view of Naruto...

I'm sure we will see a really cool return to the main story. And! Naruto and Sakura will be with each other for a little while yet, hehe. After all, they'll have a little time in Konoha then they will be with each other on that "Get Sasuke Back II" mission! Also, Sakura will have been able to mature and grow up without Sasuke to distract her. Plenty of opportunity for NaruSaku action.

It's really hard to see what will happen, but I'm betting that in the chaos when Akatsuki attack Oro and try to capture Kyuubi, Naruto will get captured, Oro gets killed/goes into hiding, then Sasuke and Sakura forge an uneasy alliance - Sakura wants Naruto back, and Sasuke wants to find and kill Itachi. Where Itachi is, Naruto will be. Once Sakura gets Naruto back, Sasuke goes off on his own as he doesn't intend to return to the Leaf.

Of course, I'll probably be completely wrong.

That's a really good idea, Smiter! That would be a cool idea with the capturing of Naruto, although it might reignite the S***S*** flame :/ Them being forced to work together and all..

I'm also wondering whether Naruto and Sakura's reunion will be that simple... I think it'd be cool if she didn't live in Konoha when he came back (and she's the only one who can get rid of Sasuke's curse, so they have to go find her and bring her back! Much like Tsunade's initial introduction XD )
