I don't know how Kishimoto plans to end the manga in five chapters... that seems a bit constrictive if you ask me and using Naruto: The Last as an epilogue doesn't seen right in my opinion. The de facto ending should be in the manga itself not in a film. It's all right to add canon material via a film like Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Gods did, but I feel like this maybe a cop out on Kishimoto's end.

In 5 chapters ?... If that's how it's going to be, then it's just about the battle and maybe what Sakura's genjutsu is about, or she'll just wake up without us seeing what her genjutsu is about.

 

Probably, Sakura and Kakashi will join Naruto and Sasuke, or just Naruto, later when the fight is about to end.

 

As for the epilogue, I think we'll get it at the end of Part 2 or in The Last. That's if Kishi isn't planning for Part 3 which for now I don't think there will be.

It's equally possible that NS will be canon when Part 2 ends or won't be. It's either this way or in The Last.

 

Can someone give me a link of the information that Naruto is ending after 5 chapters please ?

If the manga is gonna end in 5 chapters and Kishi wants to end the manga on a good note to please his fans he gonna need the following......

-a normal paced but thrilling Naruto vs Sasuke fight that would normally pass for 5-6 chapters

-resolution to team 7 dilemma on a good note

-an aftermath of after the war featuring all the other characters to know what they'll be doing next before the series end

-last chapter featuring Naruto as the hokage and his future child (not entirely sure if this will happen but it would be nice)

If Kishi is gonna satisfy his fans with the closing of the series then the last chapters HAVE to be 45-50 page length each!!! No if's, ands or buts because he put himself in this position now he's got to push himself to meet the quota!!! If he ends the manga with 5 19-20 page chapters with all that is left...........there is gonna be fans out for blood......LITERALLY!!!! O_o

I just hope Kishi has it him that's all I'm saying

there still 5 chapter left to the end, which will be in WSJ issue 50 (10th november), so Naruto will be ended in chapter 699. And it invite don't miss the movie in december which will be a sort of building up for some project in 2015.

So it's official the story is ending in chapter 699 . As much as I wanted it to end, I didn't want it to end so soon. The most anticipated battle of the manga will only last what 5 chapters?
