I think we can say that Sakura will have another role yet aside from the OR and NS parallel coming up.

 

It's very probable that she'll be the one saving Shikamaru, and either fighting/supporting Naruto, or she and Tsunade will have a cooperation. The latter I don't think it's that much possible though.

 

Bolded: In order for the OR oarallel to happen, Sakura have to interfere and her jumping in front of Naruto is very possible. Only if Obito knew already that Naruto loves her and goes to kill her to affect Naruto, or noticed something from Naruto.

 

Not necessarily. I can't recall who said it, but someone mentioned something like Sakura sacrificing herself for the greater good, like Rin did in order to protect Konoha from the three-tails inside her. I'm not sure how that might happen though.

Sakura would do that, but I can't think of anyway on how she would do that. She won't stand in front of Obito or in the middle of the battlefield and kills herself. I can think that Obito telling Naruto to kill Sakura, or " only if your love died ". But, that's not a reason that he would stop his plan all of a sudden that he wanted to work and backs away.

 

I'm saying that her shielding him is very possible for a way to go.

Yeah, same here.
I also wonder how many anti-NS-pro-you-know-what-shippers will actually stop reading the manga after ObiRin || NaruSaku confirmed? 
I just really hope that her potential "sacrifice" will be well-written, unlike Hinata's in Pain Arc.

Yeah, I do wonder how it will play out in this arc. The one from Pain was only made to go Kyuubi and meet Minato to get the right track of peace and hinted that he will fight Obito. This one is a game changed because Obito can be phased by understanding the new generation and love is his main drive to cause all of this. So this one would staple on real love.

Is it me or does the next volume seem to be heading to the direction of narusasusaku v.s juubito and kages+hashi v.s madara? I have a good feeling sakura will do something big this volume.

I don't know. I see Minato continuing helping Naruto, Juugo is with Sasuke, and well, I don't know what's next. Basically, hard to say for now. Personally, I want Madara to do something now. Their fight are literally endless and I can see Hashirama wanting to shift focus as in "finishing this now". If not, he's really going to get owned. All chess pieces are here and I believe Kishi wants to end this one now.

Yeah, I'm not sure how it would work either, but I do like the idea. I just don't want it to be repetitive.

Kinda off topic, but I noticed how some people were a bit upset that the last chapter of this volume didn't end with a massive cliffhanger like the last three volumes have. The way I saw the ending of the final chapter in this volume was more or less a sign that the door to this war arc is about close. Plus I feel like I've been repeating this for the past few weeks, but there really is nothing else left in the arc to cover, except for Kages arrival, Naruto vs Obito, ObiRin Parallel (I hope), Kakashi's Return, Edo Hokages Disappear, and Sasuke's Betrayal. Most likely that's this next volume will cover.

I know others will help and of course minato will and jugo is there to supply the susanoo with nature energy. But I'm guessing the big dogs of this fight will be naruto and sasuke, but I also expect for sakura to do something big. Now that I think about it, sakura doesn't have senjutsu, so is it a possibility that she will help tsunade and the kages by releasing her seal and helping them? Idk . I feel like next volume is the end of this thing, because I can't imagine kishimoto splitting these last 15 minutes into more volumes. Just imagine the titles he would give them if he could..... "The first 5 minutes", "the second 5 minutes", "the final 5 minutes". It would just feel out of place to finally give something a deadline and stretch it out that far. Hopefully we get a good final volume of this war.

That's the question we all have been wondering about for a while hasn't it? I personally don't want to see Sakura be a meat shield for Naruto so it happens. The meat shield role is for Hinata, lol. That's the problem. The emphasis on ObiRin is too much that it must mean something. Since Obito is made for TnJ, the parallel is really there for plot development. That said what is it need to be done is in question. I don't know how Kishi would do it but I hope it's good.

Tnj hasn't done kitten on obito so far and that is what's scaring me to be honest with you. I hope that if the obirin parallel comes Into play that it will seal the deal. But i still have my doubts about it because obito sure as hell doesn't like to listen or understand. He always seems to be in his own state of mind all the time unlike the others naruto has fought. It does mean a lot to this story but honestly, I'm really curious how kishi is going to pull it off...and how great of a scenario it needs to be.

This chapter just like naruto vs garra, the battle of jinchuriki and love motivation, but in this arc it's more romantic love.
