surely from Hinata, but guys.... you've to know that isn't Kishimoto to write those sidetext...they come from editor. That's why those sidetext are removed from volume version.... They aren't original quotes from the author.

I think that quote was one of those texts we got on the side of the page often, at the beginning or end of the chapter. Sometimes they're from a character, or they're just a general thought relating to the picture or chapter or whatever. But, I've heard once before that those texts don't come from Kishi, and I was wondering if this is actually true? Like, does anyone have a source for it or...?

You are probably right but it does not make any sense with the full text.

it's true, 100% confirmed. It was stated on WSJ once a time.... I repeat it again, that's why those quotes are removed from tankobon version.

what have you done, kishi?
It's a "thank you".
This chapter reminded me of the below scenes.
-Rock Lee jumping in the Forest of Death, fighting the sound ninjas to protect Sakura with a "I'll protect you with my life."
Sakura thanking him in the end saying, "Thank you. Because of you I feel as I have gotten stronger."
-Sakura screaming to Sasuke, during the Sasuke vs. Orochimaru battle in the Forest of Death, "Sasuke-kun! At least Naruto is not a coward, right!?" and giving Sasuke courage.
-Sakura hugging Sasuke from behind when he got the curse mark, wishing he will stop. And he did get over that curse mark power.
In the end of Part 1, he told her "Thank you" and laid her on the bench (probably bridal style).
These are all scenes where the person gets a grateful acknowledgement from the person they love for supporting and giving courage to said person.
The person being acknowledged finally gets to know that they are acknowledged, and even if their feelings are still there, they stop actively chasing that person. (Example: Rock Lee stop asking Sakura to go out with him, Since Part 2 Sakura stopped actively pursuing Sasuke in a romantic sense, she wants him back as a teammate) The scenes may come off looking quite romantic with a genuine "thank you" and the person realizing that there was somebody else being there for them all along, but in the end, it's genuine acknowledgement. Nothing less, nothing more. It doesn't change the romance aspect of the person's feelings.
And Finally! Hinata got her "thank you" she deserves from the guy she has supported and gave courage. And as she stated in previous chapters, she WILL stop chasing him. This is just another parallel.
Btw, I'm glad people has calmed down. I guess it takes a day for people to calm down....

If that statement didn't come from Naruto, and was in fact a generalized statement from the editor, then I don't even feel threatened by this chapter anymore.

Exactly this was the moment I tought Naruto was reciprociting Hinata's feelings now that's confirmed it's not Naruto (and I hope is) I feel so much better.

chapter 573.
even if it was written by editor, it was obviously that it was hinata's quote. It make sense with her attitude and fetishism...

^ This. If it's true, then that means all of the romantic intent was from Hinata's perspective (as per usual). Naruto held her hand to give her chakra and acknowledged her, but his feelings throughout the chapter are considered platonic. After all, he loves Sakura-chan.

That's true too. I found it odd trying to place that into her dialogue about his hand, because it didn't flow with her thoughts, but at the same time it didn't seem like something Naruto would say. Also, I found it odd that it was off to the side and not included in any of the panels. Thanks for looking that up!

I remember the last Editor's note at ch 573 when it says "Carnage Enters The Battlefield" and Sasuke did not enter the battlefield.

Seriously? I don't remember that editor's note. LOL. That's hilarious.

It seems like they pick a generic statement to go along with the theme of the chapter without really knowing what Kishimoto plans to do.

Speaking of which I gain knowledge that Kishi changed even 4 times his editor in 5 years... I wouldn't like that this stuff could force Kishimoto about the story...

It seems like they pick a generic statement to go along with the theme of the chapter without really knowing what Kishimoto plans to do.
or when Tobi takes baby Naruto from Kushina and Minato e the final sidetext was something like "Will baby Naruto survive?!" I did laught to that.... the most stupid sidetext I've never seen in my life. LOL

Now let's see where this goes Hinata has fulfilled all she told she would do in chapter 573, she said she would be holding his hands and it's done, she said she would walk by his side and it's done there's only one last part to do and it is to "stop chasing after Naruto" and go back to the background.

Like you I do believe that it's way to early to call a pairing canon before the other aspect of the love triangle parties feelings are resolved, I remember Naruto stating earlier that he hates people who lie to themselves, him suddenly loving Hinata will makes him fickle and really dishonest person since you cannot love a new person when you never thought about moving on from your first love or worst seen this new person in a romantic light.
This is also the main reason why I never thought that Sakura stopped loving Sasuke, I only believed that their would be a time when she thought about their history together and make a choice, with Naruto I expect the same not only for him to think about Sakura but also Hinata, not just fall in love with her out off nowhere. This is why I call it a big NH boost when it comes to pairing.
After RTN and it ways it was presented I have a hard time not believing in NS, while I might acknowledge the other pairing moments I still think NS will be the end game, I could be wrong since this is Kishi I'm talking about, but I do feel that it's way to early to call a pairing canon and the ones that are bragging about it might get their dreams shattered, sometimes is good to be civil about something until the facts are clear and their is no doubt.
