maybe I am reading to much into this but Sakura's hand is resting on Naruto and both are apart from Sasuke of course they are being compared with the Sannin here with the toad slug and snake

I know what you mean, is only that I'm tired of double standard people bashing 469 but ok with murder attempts, the hypocrisy when Sasuke and Naruto doesn't love Sakura and Hinata, the Naruto doesn't love Sakura anymore, the Sakura bashing, Sakura will never stop loving Sasuke, NaruSaku fans in denial in almost every forum or any Naruto related place I go.

Please excuse the fact that I express my frustration here.

Oh I FEEL THE SaME WAY HERE, don't get me wrong; I know for a fact that the "die for our ship" type of pro NH/NS bashers are hypocrites but we don't want the debate closed for that do we? We'll just let them say what they want...... for now.

Looks like we'll find out when Road to Ninja comes out in July since Kishimoto is doing the story.

But, in my opinion, she'll probably first smack herself on the head in an "uh duh" reaction, because the resemblance is so obvious. Then she'll remember the how Naruto became the host for the Kyuubi and realize Minato sealed the Kyuubi in his own newborn child and wonder what happened. It will remind her again of what Naruto endured as a young child and she'll react similarly to how she did when she found out Naruto was the host for the Kyuubi. There'd be a tender scene between Sakura and Naruto.

I think it'll be something a bit more mundane; but I wish it could play out like this.

Hey guys I am a very big NS fan and want that pairing to happen very badly because I can't compare how much naruto's selfless love towards sakura is to anything. But I am seeing that kishi is trying to take back most of the hints he gave that sakura is developing romantic feelings for naruto. I just hope you guys can help me giving not so biased answers(just saying this because I know I am in narusaku thread and their are chances you guys give bias answers, so please try not to give biased answers).

1) When first I got punched for liking my pairing was when sakura called naruto an idiot for falling in love with her. It really seemed that she can never reciprocate his feelings.

2) when sakura did the confession it seemed real but then naruto saod he knew her better than that and told her that she was lying, not only this during her confession yamato made a shocked face which I think was to take back the hint he gave at the bridge where yamato might have said sakura loved naruto.

3) then when sai explained naruto that she was going to kill sasuke he said sakura loves sasuke 3 times and naruto thought of it 2 times total 5 times which really mean something in shonen manga. It totally means that sakura still loves sasuke and it seems that she still does not love naruto even if she cares for him very much. I think kishi did that intentionally to get NS in very low state so that he can make it not happen in the end even after so much of development it got. At least I being a huge NS supporter don't want NS to happen until sakura's feelings are pure love towards Naruto.

4) Then their was chapter 540 where she thinks of sasuke as the person she loves, meaning she will never love naruto??

5) I agree their was chapter 573 where sakura is hinking of naruto but it was an anti-romance NS moment again(in terms of being canon), because she seemed to be thinking of naruto only as friend and nothing more. I was so happy when I saw she said we are going to be together no matter what you say and then she ruined the so far romantic NS moment by saying not only her but everyone.

These things seems to be going against NS and all the development NS had very badly. I totally know this pairing should happen because it has got very much development, but development of NS seems to be only in friendship manner to me now until their is some real romantic NS moment from sakura that is.

I also very well know that naruto loves sakura very much and that won't and shouldn't change but NS won't/should not happen until sakura shows real romantic feelings for naruto. Atleast I can't see it happening when sakura's feelings for naruto aren't pure. I don't want to see naruto becoming a second choice.

I hope you guys can help me with getting to think why NS still can happen. I don't think NH has any chances of happening but I do start thinking that SS still have some chances even if not as much as NS. That is because when sasuke becomes good and sakura asks him why he tried to kill her I can imagine a scenario where kishi makes sasuke say that he devloped bond with her as well and wanted to finish that bond as well, although this is also highly unlikely. I am really starting to think that if sakura's romantic feelings towards sasuke are still being kept then NS also won't be a sensible pairing until kishi has thought of something to make it completely sensible in some way.

well I think U guys also don't have an answer because it seems that my post got no answers. These questions were actually not got straight into my head one of my friend told me who is a huge SS fan that because of these things NS won't happen that is why I expected some of u guys to tell something in defense, but seems their is no defence against these points then.

I'll summarize everything that's been explained on this thread earlier real quick:

1. Sakura was bashing on herself, not on Naruto.

2. I bet Yamato and Lee were shocked just because of the randomness/out of nowhere the confession was. As for Naruto saying that she was lying, it was only after she said that she didn't care about Sasuke that he caught on. Sakura seemed to have her feelings hurt pretty bad which wouldn't make sense if she was lying about loving Naruto too.

3. Naruto's pretty dull IMO lol. He hasn't noticed Sakura growing on him because he's really been living in the past. But either way, this shouldn't affect NS that much.

4. Personally, I think that at first Sakura was thinking about Naruto because she replied to him at first very quickly without even thinking about it. I doubt she really thought that her and Sasuke were going to be hitting it off lol. But its later that the nin-lover says, "He must be a really great guy if you're in love with him," that triggers the thought of Sasuke and how he's not a good guy but she is still in love with him. I really think she loves both Naruto and Sasuke, but is just confused with her feelings.

IN manga chapter 573 when everyone's running to aid Naruto, Sakura's comment was actually a foreshadowing of Narusaku becoming canon and thus had much more impact than Hinata's forward statement. When Naruto is talking with Itachi in manga chapter 552, Itachi states: "Your father Minato could become Hokage because he had your mother Kushina and all the others. When everyone is rushing to Naruto, Sakura states: "But no matter what you say this time... we're going to be together... not just me... we're going to all fight together this time!... see that parallel? I could go on forever with those haha.

As for the lack of Narusaku moments recently, Kishi has to feed the SS NH shippers sometime. It just means that NS moments are getting very near. But yeah, Kishi is very subtle with these NS hints, you won't find any parallels of the sort for other shipper couples

Well that's my personal opinion, I could very well be wrong, there could be no pairing at the end for all we know.

Kishimoto has been writing this for a decade. We have been buying the manga for years. He can do anything he wants and we'll still buy the manga. He doesn't have to worry about fan backlash at this point. After all, if the series is coming to an end, what are they going to do?

If he is not going to end it with NS it will be really very sad for me and I think he will have to give a very good excuse for making SS or NH happen because they won't make any sense since we got not even a little hint from sasuke towards sakura and naruto towards hinata in romantic way, which can back the pairings up, but we got few scenes from sakura towards naruto in romantic light as well as a confession(which might/should or might not turn out to be true in end). So if he is planning for SS or NH the nuetral readers as well as all NS fans need to get some proper explanation!

If SS/NH happen I will also like him to explain why naruto was shown to have so selfless love feelings for sakura and end him up with person he doesn't loved as a lover(hinata) or end him up alone.
I can't imagine him ending with SS because it will be a sad defeat for naruto(in romantic way) after going through so much for sakura, and I don't think making naruto sad in end is good idea sice he deserves to be happiest person in that world after whatever he went through! whereas NH can't happen because it will be 160(not 180 because he cares for hinata and everyone atleast....LOL) for naruto to turn to hinata suddenly after loving sakura for so long!!

You know, I want to complain as to why Sakura never used that axe but at the same time we always see Naruto with a giant scroll in many color pages and yet the only time he used one was during his fight with Pain so I guess I shouldn't complain.

That's actually a pretty nice association you just gave right there. I never though of connecting was Itachi said with what Sakura said and yet it makes a lot of sense. It goes to show the Kishimoto really loves his parallels. Now I really want Naruto to remember Itachi's words when Sakura and the others arrive to the battlefield. It'd be pretty great if Naruto remembered the part about Minato having Kushina while looking at Sakura.

I don't think so, because that would actually require Naruto to do something with Hinata that has to go outside of the platonic comrade/acquaintance/possibly friend stratosphere and I just honestly don't think he wants to do that with anyone other than Sakura, and he's not pulling the trigger with Sakura until everything that's been going on with Sasuke is over, then that's when Naruto and Sakura will conclude their story on totally absolutely 100% sure, no going back, totally committed and fully admit that they love each other with no regrets.
