The ToC is short for "Table of Contents" that usually appear at the back of the magazine. It usually has some random/interesting comments from authors of Jump. One memorable ToC comment from Kishi is the fact he admits he's technology-illiterate.

It also more often than not, has comments regarding typos or such things if there is one and the authors would mention it so that readers understand what's going on.

Preemptive strike from Kishi? It's like he wanted to prepare the fans to take chapter 573 with a grain of salt since he didn't personally make that chapter.

Wow, this is like shockingly surprising to me. I didn't know any of this info. It makes me wonder how everything would have played off if this is true. I pray that this movie doesn't get butchered by the studio, let alone his editors. I hope it all comes down to his original plan for the movie and manga.

I pray that this movie doesn't get butchered by the studio, let alone his editors. I hope it all comes down to his original plan for the movie and manga.

this is not shockingly , the end is already done, if he did narusaku in the end any editors cant change that , the editors only want him to continue the story , doing more things cuz jump does not have a substitute for it , so the only thing that they can change is poiting things that kishimoto needs to develop for him to have more mangas and increase it's time before the end.

it's common

his assistants did 573 with fanservice and added nothing to the story at all, it fullfilled it's objective that was make a manga but do not interfere with the main.

i do not have proof cuz i do not own a membership and my friend has it and he showed me the part that kishi said about his hand, and he could not draw for a while .
but i put my money that 573 wasn't made by him, does not add anything and some pictures from it clearly show to us that it's was not kishi's draw.
some naruto's faces and sasuke, and even the enviroment in the end.
even sakura picture was slightly different

And what is this fanservice you refer to? Is it because of Hinata saying she'd hold Naruto's hand or Sasuke's dark appearance at the end?

So what do you theorize that Kishi didn't like about 573? Do you think he told his assistants to make Hinata say she'd stop following Naruto but then they added that additional scene about holding his hand on their own?

If Kishimoto had said something like that it the only place it would have been in is in his author notes for the manga tankobon 60 (manga volume 60) that is not due for release in Japan until May 5, 2012. Sorry, until you show me the note in Japanese and I can translate it I can't trust that info. Because, as has already been said, even if Kishimoto couldn't draw he would tell his assistants what needed to be drawn, supervise it, and approve it before it was sent to JUMP (and note how closely his assistant who draws the Rock Lee spin off follows Kishimoto's characterization, while still making the story silly. No naruhina there, in fact, Hinata often is the butt of the most embarrassing jokes...)

Let me see if I understand the whole story.

1) Kishimoto injured his hand while opening a can of tuna
2) He was unable to draw for a while so he asked someone else to do chapter 573 without changing to original story
3) The person who made 573 apparently made some slight changes that Kishimoto wasn't to happy about
4) Kishimoto decided he didn't want to delay Naruto despite his injured hand because of what he didn't like about 573
5) Now he's ahead by 20 chapters and taking a break from the manga while working on the final touches for Road to Ninja

Am I getting to story straight here?

I have a very good guess that the part Kishi didn't like from 573 is what Hinata said about Naruto, especially the part of "Holding his hand and walking with him."

Alright, someone tell me whats going on here. From what I understand, 573 wasnt intentionally made by Kishimoto and contains too much explicit NH, or too much NS, or what......................mindkitten from confusion. Someone please explain.
