Yes they can.

Luffy will fight big mom in this arc and then kaido in the next arc and he will win it all.

Damn...Luffy's arm getting cut into while in gear 4th....scary stuff. It needed to happen though. Luffy definitely needs a wake up call when it comes to just who he's up against. Hopefully Nami and Pound reach him before he gets more of a beating. Maybe Nami can use the Vivre card to get the homies to help since they're so scared of her, if not I have no clue how this fight will end.I pray they don't stay separated though, obviously Luffy can't be left alone. Maybe this time he'll listen when Nami tells him to fall back and run!

You better hope they don't pull a quick turn. Like "Oh I was wrong! You are so ready for New World!!!" I do think this would lead to something "different" for Luffy because he's struggling with his best form yet. Again, once he's out of the gate as Cracker is still up, he's done unless someone can save him.

He's ready for new world, that's the point of the time skip.
It doesn't matter if cracker own him now, he will back in the couple of chapters with a new trick or something and he will one shot him.

I'm just saying as by himself. Let's face it, he's in trouble. Friendship is the key now if they are ready. I think he will get a lot of help to overcome the odds, if Jinbei is hanging on. As a solo guy, he can't win. The gap is showing more and more.

Well, actually, different isn't the right word. He already experience a devastated loss, let alone feeling weak. I don't know what this arc has in store for Luffy, but I can imagine it will be impactful.

He's always in and make trouble, but he always find a way to solve it.
Luffy will get help that's for sure but the fight will always 1 v 1.
We're still in the early arc and about to enter mid arc and the gap of power will be close once he found new trick or something.

There will be some impact but I doubt it will make him smart.

Alright, so I'm gonna say Luffy beat Cracker.

luffy isn't beating kaido or big mom solo. it's not happening, and so far oda hasn't given me a reason to believe otherwise. quite the opposite in fact.

Every luffy boss battle is a solo fight.
Even the battle against doffy is count as solo fight.
So if luffy get help in the fight againts emperor as long as the majority of the fight happen between luffy and the emperor then all of it count as luffy solo fight.

This is why I don't think oda will change the formula for the boss fight is luffy fights.

What the heck? Why would they change the scene THAT MUCH!? Why have Nami hug Robin and cry on her instead of on Luffy? Especially after showing a preview of it being like the manga. I'm just saying your first bout can be death or luck. The way it was written for DoFlamingo vs. Luffy, he would have died if no one came to assist. Luffy learns from his first fight and that can well happen here. It's still questionable on how this fight will end as Luffy may get captured if he doesn't win or luck will come in play.

The point is he's Yugi where he can miraculously win in first try.
