Haise and Kaneki are going to help with each other. I'm liking this development more and more. I love how he finally see that Kaneki is actually hurt and feel the same as him: afraid to disappear. So many characters from part 1 appeared here. Amazing how in Aogiri Arc, they got CCG locked up as they were doing another mission. Now, what goes around, comes around. Aogiri doesn't look happy. I sense consequences because they failed in two major criteria.

Ch.31

Loved this chapter. Ishida really did a wise move with this chapter b/c the internal dialogue Sasaki had with Kaneki helped him to realize that there was no need to be afraid of his past self: He recognizes Kaneki's weak and lonely side. And showing of Kaneki as a child just strengthens further this understanding b/c of the defenselessness children can oftentimes represent. Also, Kaneki's white hair received a new meaning in this chapter: Purity.

That fight b/w Seidou and Sasaki was beast, but a bit too short in my eyes :( As always, I'm having trouble to identify what exactly is going on in Ishida's fighting scenes (he really needs to work on it b/c I'm not the only one complaining about them).

Btw, Seidou... I felt bad a bit after he called out to his parents. And Akira meeting Seidou... He seems to have covered his face upon seeing her. Maybe he's ashamed? I don't know.

Yay, Amon is back (even if not officially stated). So basing my knowledge on that one post I've posted a while ago about "Yasuhina", Kurona (the black-haired one-eyed ghoul) changed a Kanji or so in her last name and is now together with Amon, which makes sense if we look at the connection those two used to have. I assume Amon is also cannibalizing b/c I see some blood on his face. Props to Ishida for having foreshadowed Amon becoming a half-ghoul since Ch.123 or so in TG!

Urie... Pls don't get jealous again. Be glad you're getting your damn promotion. You better evolve from now on.

Nice to see Ayato being so worried about Hinami

I liked the way Kaneki asked for Hinami's ownership was executed. It felt like he was doing this not only b/c Arima was about to kill Hinami but for Kaneki to whom Hinami was practically family.

So in a way we do have Kaneki back, but don't at the same time-interesting... It remains to be seen if that "child" Kaneki will make more appearances from now on. Fact is, that Arima noticed that something's up with Sasaki. He says:" That Rank 1 Sasaki is injured." Arima is sharp I gotta say

@trang, Seido calling out to his mom wasn't really anything much, it was just him going insane. It's not a product of thought, but a consequence of the kakuja. It's the same as when Kaneki was talking to his mother when he went Kakuja. How Urie got a promotion is beyond me, the only ones that actually did anything besides Kaneki were Shirazu and Saiko. Anyone see Tsukiyama's daddy talking to Tsukiyama XD

Loved how it kinda implied that Seido is well weaker than Kaneki, they drew but Kaneki didn't even go Kakuja on Seido XDDD

I know. Kaneki's berserk scenes as a result of the Kakuja are too engraved in my mind to forget that XD I still feel bad though b/c in that split moment you saw guilt... I think that was Ishida's intention to let us see some of his inner psyche.
The CCG doesn't necessarily know what Urie did unless Suzuya told them. But to be fair, he did damage Big Mama quite a bit though.

I'm surprised that I'm actually enjoying it so much. I thought I'd be pretty meh about it because it's volleyball, but my expectations have been exceeded. I love it so much

*ahem* Back to Haikyuu really quick: That's the same thought I had when I plunged into the anime. Thought it'd be ok, but nope: Characters were topnotch, wonderful comedy, and the beast tension!

Arima's nickname though: "The Death God of the CCG"... I sometimes wonder how much justice the anime did to Arima... To many anime-only watchers, he was just a passing CCG investigators with some OP powers...
