I've thought about that before, but I'm not sure how kekkei genkai work in the Narutoverse. If the Byakugan is a dominant trait, then a Hyuuga child born to a Hyuuga clan member and a non-member would still have the Byakugan. But if it's a recessive trait, then the only way for a Hyuuga child to have the Byakugan would be for both his parents to be Byakugan users. I'm guessing it must be a dominant trait, because we haven't seen any Hyuuga members without the Byakugan, and I have a hard time believing no one in the entire clan has ever married outside. Especially since they allow their members to study at the Ninja Academy, and we've seen several cases where Hyuuga clan members are allowed to interact normally with ninja outside the clan.
As for the Uchiha clan, I guess I'm not sure how that works. I guess I always assumed it had to do with willpower, and only the clan members who found themselves in dire situations were able to activate the Sharingan. But I'm not sure how that works, I might have to go read some older chapters regarding that.
But that's only if the genetics behind the kekkei genkai are simplied as much as possible. Besides, it could be the case that Kishi's never even put any thought into the science behind it anyway.
It's going to take a couple of days maybe even a week until I will post what i want to say because i already have everything in my head but i want to go over the manga again to be 100% sure(because it's going to be a long post)
I will use " ***** " instead of those words and you guys will understand what it means.Again i will use those words not to insult any paring or character or user.
LOL, when in doubt, used minced oaths (dang, freaking, etc.). I swear every once in a while, but you can communicate your point more effectively on a forum like this if you avoid it. You don't want to sound like you were raised in a sewer or are just having a temper tantrum when you finally make your epic post.
I'm looking forward to your post though. I'm not sure if you're on 'our side' or if you're preparing your debate arsenal to be used against us, but I'm sure you'll get plenty of responses of either way. I'm better at debating than rallying, so you'll probably get a response/longer response from me if it's the latter. I'm looking forward to seeing it either way though.
Oh, and welcome to the site.

Every Hyuuga we have seen has the Byakugan, but that only means that everyone we know about has one. That doesn't mean we know of every Hyuuga and to my knowledge Kishimoto has never stated that they all do. As far as marriage, again, Kishimoto gives no details on how they function day to day. Most theories are based on how typical Japanese clans function because they tend to mirror one, but still it's still just an assumption.
But that's only if the genetics behind the kekkei genkai are simplied as much as possible. Besides, it could be the case that Kishi's never even put any thought into the science behind it anyway.
I agree. I think it's likely that it's not universal across the board. Probably a bit of both. As far as the Sharingan, we actually don't know that much. As far as I can we know the following:
(1) Sasuke unlocked his under significant stress.
(2) Sasuke achieved the third tomoe the same way.
(3) Itachi said that Magenkyou was unlocked by killing your best friend. Was this ever actually stated or something that is just fan lore? I don't remember reading it, but it's be stated a ton of times by various fans. However, if he did Kishi promptly torpedoed this when Itachi unlocked it for Sasuke.
(4) Somehow, despite not being Uchiha, Kakashi has Magenkyou and a technique that no one has duplicated. Oh, and he can't shut the damn thing off, but still manages to evolve it. This is still unexplained.
(5) EMS is acquired by one Uchiha acquiring another Uchiha's eyes. This makes no sense. How does a set of eyes that deteriorates in one head suddenly stop doing so in another head. And now that I think about, does Kakashi's deteriorate? It exhausts him, but there has never been anything to suggest that he is losing his sight.
Therefore, I don't think there is any consistency and he just kinda makes it up as he goes along.

Agreed. FMA is just more...well...more, to me.

I agree... where did that FMA nonsense come from anyway?

Probably me because I was being sarcastic about the whole "Kishi is the writer" issue. I mean, fenris-san is right, it's not even valid for a debate anymore.

Sorry, but question? What does Karin still loved Sasuke has to do with her having more feelings than Sakura has for Naruto? Not nitpicking the comment, but I'm just curious about that statement to help build the mold for the debate, whenever it gets underway.

I think that their implying that Karin's "love" for Sasuke had the same kind of development for Sakura's crush on Sasuke, and both of these feelings seem to be superficial, therefore does that crush that Karin has hold more actual romantic value than Sakura's feelings towards Naruto...

FMA>Naruto
Not that I disagree but I LOVE both of them equally
In what way? If you're saying it's superficial that diminishes it's value while Sakura's feelings for Naruto are of solid friendship, mutual respect, and intimate affection whether or not they are romantic
Glad to hear it!
